Carolingian Emperor and Princess of Aramick get Married

[The Carolingian Realm]

Following a meeting and courtship, Emperor Charles VIII of Carolingia is to marry Princess Danica of Aramick in Aquisgranum Cathedral.

The Palace at Aquisgranum

Charles checked over his red cloak and gold-braided tunic, his breeches and stockings. He nodded to the servants with him, and they placed the Imperial Crown on his head. He walked through the Palace and through the Palatine Chapel, where a crowd of Lords, dignitaries, and his own two sisters: Catherine and Julia, who he kissed on the cheek before moving on through the passage into the Cathedral.
Charles took up position at the altar, before him stood the Archbishop of Aquisgranum and behind him a large golden cross towering up the wall. He turned to glance at the cavernous Cathedral packed with dignitaries and other VIPs.
He eagerly awaited the arrival of his bride.

[Aramick]

Princess Danica walked down the aisle, he long flowing white gown trailing behind her, she smiled through her Vail as she saw Charles standing at the alter she carried a bouquet or orchids, her royal Tiara was on her head, sher blonde hair was in loose curls and she smiled as she stood in front of Charles.

[The Carolingian Realm]

Charles smiled at his bride as she stood in front of him. "You look beautiful" he whispered to her. The Archbishop raised his two hands in Benediction, and began in full Ecclesiastical Latin: "Carissimi, nos in hoc loco congregamus hodie..." ("Dearly beloved, we gather here today..."). Charles continued to smile at Danica, and as the priest continued with his prayers and recitations Charles felt that this was one of the happiest days of his life, and he was about to spend the rest of them with a beautiful and kind woman.

The ceremony continued, and Hymns were sung in Latin and English to represent the bride and her family, before the Archbishop began one of the most famous parts of weddings (in Latin however!) "Carole Martelie Octave Imperator, tune accipes hanc uxor legitima esse?" ("Emperor Charles the Eighth Martel, do you take this woman to be your lawful (wedded) wife?") Charles replied without hesitation "Accipio." ("I do" lit. "I accept/take") the Archbishop turned to Danica "Et tune, Danica Windhama Regula, accipes hunc maritus legitimus esse?" ("Princess Danica Windham, do you takes this man to be your lawful (wedded) husband?")

Danica stumbled over the Latin as her voice shook she smiled and took a deep breath as she looked into Charles's eyes and smiled "I Do"

[The Carolingian Realm]

The Archbishop asked for the rings, and they were brought forward on cushions. Despite being simple bands of gold, they were beautiful, and they were exchanged with smiles. "Proclamo vos vir uxorque esse." ("I proclaim you man and wife."), then he looked at Charles "Nuptam osculum dare licet." ("You may kiss the bride"), Charles smiled and looked at the Archbishop, "Gratias ago, Archiepiscope." ("Thank you, Archbishop") he said, then he lifted Danica's veil back over her head and kissed passionately on the lips.

[Aramick]

Tears filled Danica's eyes as they placed the rings on each others fingers, she looked out the corner of her eye and saw her brother smiling. As Charles lifted her Vail she smiled and kissed him passionately. She hugged him after the kiss " My heart is yours, I will love you with my entire being" she whispered in his ear

"And I, you darling." Charles whispered back. He looked at her face, and saw her tears. He wiped them off with his robe. "Come on. Don't cry, we're supposed to be happy!" he turned and looked at the congregation and smiled as they cheered. He kissed Danica one more time then said "Let's go to the reception!" and he led her out of the Catherdral to the cheering crowds outside, nodding and smiling at King Steven as he went past.

[Aramick]

"Oh these are tears of joy, my love" She smiled and waved to the people in the Chapel, as they approached her brother she stopped and hugged him. As they walked to the reception Danica constantly glanced over at Charles, this was the best day of her life, she was excited to start her new life with her husband. She Leland over and whispered "I hope you like to dance, I have been taking dance since I was six years old, I hope you can keep up" She laughs and squeezes his arm gently.

[The Carolingian Realm]

"I'll try, but I never had much talent for dancing!" the entire party progressed into the wide Council Hall, which had been laid out for a traditional banquet. Charles led his bridge up to their thrones at the head of the Hall and showed her to her seat. "Apparently we have quite a feast prepared for us." he kissed her again, then waited for the guests to be seated. "So, you're in the Empress' throne after all my darling! Bring on the Food!" and soon servants were bringing out all kinds of delicacies and foods: Wild Boar and Venison to name a few of the meats. "All this meat has been raised on the Imperial Estate, and the bread made from wheat from our citizen farmers. I believe they've also provided us with vegetables as well."

[Aramick]

Danica looked over the spread, there were many of her favorite foods especially the Venison. "For desert an apple pie has been made from the royal orchard at the Palace in Charleston and the wine is from the vineyard at the palace." Danica sat at the head table with Charles she took his hand as she sat and looked out at the guests.

[El Cuscatlan]

It was great change for Gran Cuscatlan: County once under Junta rule was transfered into Monarchy, according to the will of Gen. Lopez. But Carlos Silva still had title of Caudillo and was still de facto supreme legislative in the county. Latin American dictator came, because the Emperor Emmett Carlos I had no possibility to come.
He approached the pair:
" Buenos Diaz, your majesty" said one of most powerful men in Gran Cuscatlan " And Buenos Diaz your majesty too" he smiled, what he did only on rare occasions " I came here to wish you new and great life! "

[Aramick]

It was great change for Gran Cuscatlan: County once under Junta rule was transfered into Monarchy, according to the will of Gen. Lopez. Danica smiled at Carlos Silva "Thank you Mr. Silva I hope you enjoy your time here"

Charles greeted Silva "Ah Señor Silva. A pleasure to see you again." he looked at his wife "Darling, this is the ruler of Cuscatlan, we've met before to discuss the purchase of naval equipment. I hope you enjoy the banquet Mr Silva."

[Aramick]

" I hope the purchase goes well, Mr. Silva seems like a good man"

[The Carolingian Realm]

"He is certainly is a kind enough man." Charles gazed at his wife "How are you enjoying the food my darling?"

[Aramick]

"Everything is wonderful, I especially like the venison"

[The Carolingian Realm]

The Emperor rose and called for order. "Honoured guests. I thank you all for coming, and I hope you are enjoying your meals, and I am sorry to interrupt, but I have to give my speech sometime! I never thought, when I was officially crowned Emperor by the Pope three years ago, that I would be married three years later, let alone to one of the most kind, gracious and beautiful women I have ever met. I know it is a cliché, but it certainly will be one of the happiest days of my life. I hope also, that this marriage will mark, not only an eternal period of happiness for me, but also, a long period of friendship and alliance between our Realm and the United Kingdom of Aramick.

"In order to mark this event, to honour my wife and to fully accept her into our Realm, I would like to take this opportunity to announce, that since she has received automatic citizenship by marrying me, that I shall now be granting her the title of Archduchess of Aquisgranum, in addition to her title as Empress and Queen of all the Empire's subdivision Kingdoms.

"Raise your glasses, Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen, to my wife!"

[Aramick]

Danica stands as the guests cheer, she smiles and bows she looks at Charles and smiles she kisses him. She looks at her brother who is smiling and she looks at the other guests.

"I am not one for long speeches so I will keep this short, I did not know what to expect when I first came here, I did not even know if the Emperor would choose me as his bride. I look forward to my life here, I look forward to my life as your wife *Looking at Charles* I know that this is the beginning of our new life and the beginning of a long and lasting relationship between our two nations. *Smiles* Now let us enjoy this time, eat your fill, dance to your hearts content, God bless you all and God bless the Empire!" *Loud cheers*

[The Carolingian Realm]

The Emperor kissed Danica, then, once everyone had finished eating said to her "So darling, shall we dance?" an orchestra, which had been assembling while the guests were eating, struck up with a sedate waltz.

[Aramick]

Danica smiles as she takes Charles's hand "I thought you would never ask" They step on to the dance floor and begin dancing.

As they danced the waltz, Charles looked at his wife. "You know, how would you like to spend our honeymoon? We could go to the country, to northern Italy, or eastern Spain?"

[Aramick]

Danica smiles at the thought of their Honeymoon, she is excited and nervous at the same time, she has never known a man "I think Northern Italy sounds nice" She kisses his cheek.

[The Carolingian Realm]

"In that case, we ought to go there. There are acres of beautiful countryside, and I have a villa near Lucca. How does that sound to you?"

[Aramick]

"Sounds lovely" They continue dancing.

"Then that's where we shall go. You tired? Or shall we keep dancing?"
