If the current monarch dies, then the rightful heir takes the throne. Just like any other hereditary monarchy.

If the president dies, a state funeral is immediately organised for 8 days after his/her death. The streets of the presidentium city (city the president chooses to have events held in) are cordoned and shut off to regular activity.
Image
This was the state funeral in 1968 of Vasuviont Harkoniur, the 44th and 46th president of Larupia, also the longest serving (1911-1940, 1947-1964)

If a monarch dies, a private funeral is held with family members and 12 guests of honor only.

The next heir to the throne will be crowned 12 days after the death of a monarch, and an EIE (Emergency Immediate Election) will be held to choose the next president.

When the Chancellor dies in office, the next in line is the Vice Chancellor followed by the Senate Speaker and so on.

The position is permanent. Therefore, when the old one dies (or retires), a new Chancellor is simply appointed by the Senate.

Our Glorious Leader has sadly passed already but remains in power. He is, after all, Glorious Dictator for Life. He still presides over all government meetings, preserved for all eternity.

Every political office they leave vacant gets filled in an orderly way. :D

The Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars is by definition himself a People's Commissar and a Delegate in the People's Assembly. Immediately the People's Assembly would elect another People's Commissar for whatever Commission he happened to lead, and then the Council of People's Commissars elects a new Chairman. The lower-level Assembly he came from gets told to appoint someone else to fill the Assembly seat.

Libertadean citizens don't vote in the typical liberal sense: They caucus in workplace and local assemblies, and appoint and recall their representatives to higher-level assemblies (up to and including the People's Assembly) at any time. Delegates are recalled whenever they fail to vote as their constituents want them to work. A major downside is that voting isn't secret.

It hasn't happened yet, as the current Chairman has been in office since the Revolution, eight years ago.

If the current Trade Potentate dies, it faces two choices:

1. The heir of the deceased Trade Potentate takes the rule. My nation is a sovereign megacorporation, don't forget that.

2. If the Trade Potentate had no direct heir (Son, grandson, etc...), a new Trade Potentate is elected from the Trade Council.

Since Count Maximilian is a vampire, and by default will live forever, the chances of him dying is unlikely.

However, if he decides to retire, then his sister (and only sibling) will take the throne. If he sires an heir before that happens then the throne will automatically go to his son/daughter.

They then select a new Vice President, who is acting Vice President until the next election.

The United Democratic States function under a Semi-Presidential system of executive power. Thus, if the President dies, an acting president is appointed by the senate, whereas if the Prime Minister dies, the President appoints a new one with the approval of the National Assembly as it always does when there is a vacancy in the position.

Should the reigning monarch somehow die, the heir shall take the crown if able within a 7 day period. If the heir is unable to do so, due to possible involvement in the death, or other obligations, the Lord-Adviser, currently the Lord Theirry Rentano of Amstelon, will act as Regent until the heir or another individual can ascend to the throne.

Should the Prime Minister die, the Deputy shall take control in their place. There will be a new government formed soon thereafter at the behest of the ruling King, Queen, or Regent.

If the president, (unofficially styled as the "punong", just to know, the original presidential post is not the same as the Asigna party sponsored presidential figure head post) technically, the Vice president (currently styled unofficially as the "Naib") will succeed him. If the vice president dies, the secretary (styled unofficially as the "Kalihim") will succeed him. If all three are dead by any chance, presidential elections will occur while the supreme court takes over the country.

A state funeral will be held for the punong who just died.

If the President were to be killed the Prime Minister would be responsible for the duties of the President until an emergency session of both the Chamber and the Senate could be held, the former to select (a) candidate(s) an the latter to approve of and vote on the candidates for the Presidency. In the event the Prime Minister is elected, he immediately resigns his post as Prime Minister, and the majority party selects a replacement.
