You're fucking awesome Kour.

If anyone is familiar to American police cars.. I secretly have wet dreams about a Crown Vic police car with Mercury Marauder & CVPI/fleet/heavy duty parts , long wheelbase body, with a station wagon version. I'm drooling just thinking about it

EDIT: Though, why is your hatchback a "sedan"?

I'm kind of disappointed about Carbon Motors tbh. The E7 seemed like a great car. The creator of it has gone nuts and wants to sell robotic school guards now.

If only someone with the money picked it up..

Kour, would you be interested in me making you a storefront some time? Just a way for me to pass time till I get decent at linearting, if I ever will

Thanks, but no thanks, I've already got a storefront.

I'm designing a new, more pro look to my IC posts here in the nat info forum. How does this look? Anything that could be changed?

FYI: Mr Xyz would be a random civil servent, from the appropriate department, tasked with replying to the various Freedom of Information requests that are the random questions posted. Mrs Abc would be the approriate department head.

Is having all your police cars armored being somewhat paranoid?

EDIT: This is what I had in mind - Level 3A+ multi-hit protection for cab, engine and fuel tank (should comfortably handle hits from pretty much all handguns [save for .50 S&W & co.] , 12GA buck, riot-type threats such as bladed and blunt weapons, fire) , airless or run flat tires, reinforced external components (e.g. Lexan-housed lights), some kind of rugged paint, etc.

I know this sound like overkill, but :ns:

Also it would be nice to incorporate some sort of rollcage into the design.

Yes.

Thanks and no image yet.. but a method.

Reading some data about Salyut and ISS.. Put it into excel and try some trend analysis (basically curve fitting) To estimate
-Pressurized volume of the station.
-Power consumption of the station based on its research payload.
-Power requirement for the station.
-Total mass of the station or station module.

User need to input the following :

Station or station module length
Diameter of the station
Research equipment mass
Research equipment mass to station mass ratio (I found it to be 7%)

Two last variables here is basically expansion..I haven't really found suitable value for it.. considering i lacked data on space station power generating capability.

Pressurized volume ratio to whole station/module volume (Assumed to be 95%)
Power requirement ratio (research vs whole station) (Assumed to be 60%)

The excel spreadsheet however is rather crude... but i think it's adequate for ballpark values. Perhaps someone can develop it into the real shine :3.

Improvements follow.

Sweet spreadsheet. Will definitely be taking a closer look at it later. I need to get around to doing a station to go with the various capsule's I've made.

Thanks. Hmm well i forget to tell that the sheet assumes cylindrical module for volume calculations.

I will keep that in mind. Also am I right to assume it would be thrown off by the use of Trans-hab style modules?

Not necessarily for Radictistani cops.

I've been trying to hash out a story about a currency transfer convoy being ambushed and it's got me wondering just how much armor protection you could realistically have on a fairly normal police car. Given the known/purported protection-to-weight ratios for RL vehicles I can't imagine you could protect against anything other than small arms. Even medium calibers with AP ammunition requires quite a bit of weight to keep out. And I have a hard time believing that even something like this could be made RPG-resistant...
