Thereafter, he joined the Army as an officer in the Swent Yeomanry and married his wife, Marianne Beverley, nee Charlotts. Together they have one son, John Beverley who lives in St Holve Barlton with his wife. Upon his retirement at the age of 50, he was made a Knight Commander of the Order of the Horn in 2010 for his services to to the military. Thereafter, he joined the Foreign Office and recommended for a diplomat by the Duke of Swent. After being first posted to Germany in 2011, his is this second posting.
