Gangs in your nation;

Telibi is known for being one of the gang, prostitution, drug and murder capitals of the world - it is a galore for many journalists, people wanting a cheap and decent fix, or looking for one of the prostitution rigs in the world - supposedly lead by the government. It is a hot and hostile environment, the hot and tropical weather has lead to many Marijuanna, Coca plants and Opium poppy plantages being found in google - with military jeeps and bikes being found very close; it is said that the goverment then sells it to rich suppliers, who then sell it to drug dealers, who sell it to the citizens - Telibi has a very struggling cocaine problem, not to mention manufactured drugs such as Ectasy, Methamphetamine, Heroin and Crack Cocaine run rapidly throughout the cities of Telibi.

Telibi is a mixed community, filled with mainly Blacks, Arabs and Latinos - commonly they get along, mixed raced children and families can be seen walking around - children of different races can be seen playing with each other happily, but it has been a problem - since the early days, two petty street gangs what eventually became a threat to the military itself - being a internationally feared gang.

SKA Gangsters - It is unknown why the original set was called SKA, but many other sets continued the SKA name - a Latino gang, ran by some of the original immigrants, leaving the struggle of there original homelands to Telibi, a growing nation - entering the nation as convicts, many of them where not allowed to work - there only options working is a seemingly suicidal job, the Telibian mines, so they created a small street crew - centered on robberies and dealing dope, they slowly grew - but around this time, many African and Arab immigrants entered the country, and they where a easy target - the SKA gangsters would rob them, rape the woman and even kill some of them without provocation - this lead lead to the birth off there greatest enemies, the hounds. SKA grew by being funded by the government and the defunct P.A.S.T squad - they started to take out a large part of south Telibi - a feared and brutal set of gangs, gaining world recognition after a highly successful student was on holiday in Telibi and one night he got drunk, after arguing with a hoodlum in a bar - the Latino called his friend, they withdrew blades and started to stab the student, many off the people watching the scenario simply watched, too afraid to stop it - the student had around 100 stab wounds to his stomach, chest, throat and mouth - this is a statement by his mother,

" He had always enjoyed going on holiday and he loved Telibi - he went to be a boy, meet girls, play around, I could not bear the news, he was always a good boy and kind - but to be stabbed over a drunken encounter, it is savage! He was always a sweet boy, helping people - he did not deserve to die this way" - The mother was in tears, whiping her eyes with a tissue.

And now, I have a interview with a SKA gang-member. - The gang member was a lightish Latino color, wearing a black snapback, skiing goggles and a white vest wrapped around his face - he was shirtless and wore many tribal tattoo's affiliated with the SKA - he even had a tally on his arms, to what he remarked " How many hounds I shot" the number was up to 23.
" SKA is going to take over, we don't care about no niggers or no pakis - they scum! SKA is original, we don't care about no fucking hounds! Put a hound down, they ain't nothin' but bitches!" The SKA member is known as "Slide".

Image - SKA gangsters.

Moving on to there most bitter enemy - the hounds!

Originally, the SKA Gangsters terrorized the Black and Arab immigrants - stealing from them, killing them without provocation and raping the women, until a small group of boys decided "no more" - creating a small gang known as the "Hounds" in the tenement block area in the eastern side of the capital city known as Activia, the SKA gangsters orignally saw them as a threat - but it was not until a certian night the rivalry reached intense proportions - the original leader of the SKA gangsters was rumored to be going to a casino, with one million from drug deals - at this stage the Hounds has contacts, but not enough money to buy drugs to sell, they could afford cheap forgein weapons - buying handguns, shotguns and assault rifles from there local dealer - they drove into the main city, entering the casino at 6pm, the weapons concealled in bags - at 7:30pm, they seen him. Slowly following around the Casino, before they built up the courage, a few of the Latinos whispered among each other - there'd been rumors of a new crew known as the Hounds - just as they where discussing, it all happened. The original leader was shot in the back ten times by a pistol, before they where shot at, the first Latino died but the second was only hit in the arm, but the original shock caused him to faint - he survived and told this to the co-leaders who attacked the hounds, the attacks kept happening and happening - slowly building up a violent rivalry - leaving the city in a state of shock and the police in a state of high alert.

A statement by the police force - " These gangs are just criminals, with the combined might of the police - they can be eradicated, but due to the war and more serious matters - we are not focusing on crews. But in my personal opinion, the hounds are more dangerous."

The hound gangster appears to be 14-15 - wearing a ski-mask and black aviators, nothing else but shorts and sandals - he'd throw up a gang-sign before he'd flash the butt of his 38. revolver, shoulders swaying.

" Fuck SKA - they say they original but they a group of fucking spics - imma blast em all, i've seen them snitch to the police they aren't worth the fucking status they get, they a bunch of bitches." Said the child.

More coming soon;

Post your nations gangs, how and why they where formed, etc.

The Carcorodine Realm has very few gangs, as we have something far worse: Cults.
The types of people who would join a criminal gang are usually also the types of people who would either be even more attracted to a cult or too worried about dying to defy a cult. As such, the Carcorodine underworld is entirely under the control of cults. Specifically, the Void Cults.

The Void Cults have the special advantage of having ties to the Voidborne, who allow them to store sensitive objects deep within the Cesspool, where even the most brave and ambitious bounty hunters fear to tread.

Also, evil and cruelty far beyond any of the competition.

by Breheim
The most predominant is the Lednik Host (commonly dubbed the 'Cossack Mafiya' in the media, but never by the Lednik Host themselves), a primarily slavic group (consisting mostly of immigrants from the Almighty Cossack Host) engaged in several illegal (racketeering, prostitution, smuggling, drug manufacturing and sale) and some legal activities (retail, insurance) and some grey areas (protection of the Cossackian minority against aggression), with the three often interlapping. The Lednik Host does not consider itself a 'gang' but rather a military outfit, per Cossackian tradition, operating in Breheim ('Lednik' itself meaning 'Glacier', while Breheim means 'Home of Glaciers'), and originally formed to protect the Cossackian minority during the 1960s, although soon got involved in organized crime (when being a point of contention within Breheim, with some claiming it was a criminal group from the get-go, while others claim it was a gradual development). The Lednik Host has links with the Russian Orthodox Church of Breheim, although the extent of these links are often over-blown, with several 'regiments' of the Lednik Host operating through a local Orthodox Church (either with the clergy's approval, or more often, reluctant acceptance).

Another prominent criminal group on the nationwide level is Viking Motorcycle Club (Viking MC or VMC), a One-percenter motorcycle club involved in primarily smuggling and distribution of illegal goods (primarily drugs), although for the most part avoids outright racketeering and prostitution. Viking MC was formed in 1958 from a merger of several 'outlaw' MC groups that had emerged during the late 40s and 50s, and is viewed as the predominant one-percenter group in Breheim, and the only one of ethnic Breheimian origin (although, they by no means require being an ethnic Breheimian to enter). However, conflicts with the Lednik Host have caused Viking MC to lose their position within the southern drug trade (the conflict often dubbed the Great Drug War, and lasted between 1982-1989, when a truce was signed between the Lednik Host and Viking MC).

While overally being more predominant in modern Breheim, the various skinhead gangs, groups, clubs and organizations engaged in illegal activities lack the nation-wide organization of Viking MC. While most of the larger skinhead groups condemn the drug trade and prostitution (both white supremacist and far-left 'redskin' groups), smaller groups engage in both openly. The city of Storvik (largest Breheimian city with its 3.3 million population) is considered the hub of illegal activity conducted by skinhead gangs, who mix militant political standpoints (whether fascist, communist or more recently, libertarian) with an equal enthusiasm for racketeering, smuggling, drug peddling and prostitution. While Storvik had been designated an 'MC Viking Territory' in the Lednik/Viking Truce of 1989, the Vikings failure to keep the territory from slipping from them to the diverse skinhead gangs have caused the Lednik Host to start making a presence in the city, having cause several conflicts between the skinheads and the Lednik Host.

The city of Just, in southern Taranger, is considered the Breheimian city with the largest crime problem, both of the organized and unorganized kind. This might partially be caused by the existence of Viking MC, the Lednik Host and two large local skinhead gangs in the city, leading to a more visible problem through occasional turf wars, as well as the failure of the City government to properly implement measures (unlike the city of Storvik, which has a similar but more low-key split, where the People's Security Bureau have a much stronger presence).

These are the main 'gangs' operating within Breheim, although there are gangs which don't fit in with the skinheads, nor are Viking MC nor the Lednik Host. The other groups are often smaller, very localized, and have a tendency to not last particularly long, however, and as such barely make the news in Breheim, if at all.

There are some, we can't deny that. However, they are few and small thanks to a strong police and a large ''reeducation'' program.

Gangs are virtually unknown for two reasons.

1) We have addressed the issue of poverty which is the root cause of criminal gang formation.

2) Our police are extremely efficient so any criminal gangs that begin to form are quickly apprehended after their first crime or two and broken up.

Gangs are generally unheard of, but the most sly gangs usually reside in large cities such as Monopville and Smoya City. Gangs who break the laws are usually dealt by crime. It was reported to the Smoyan Department of State that of the gang members captured by law enforcement, 40% served 5-20 years in jail, 50% served life or 20-50 years in jail, and 10% were executed.

Our police are militarized. There are no gangs. If there were, their members would either all be in prison, deported to a foreign country where they can be someone else's problem, or in wooden box underground.

In some of the poorer areas, some gangs might exist, but they had best be very careful not to draw the ire of the various state secret police organizations that each prince tends to have. Those who are not careful are often dragged out of their homes in the middle of the night and rarely make it to their trials. They somehow die in police custody. Accidentally, of course. However, one or two now and then are permitted to live long enough to be executed, usually by hanging.

However, there are press gangs, groups of people hired out by the states to press men into the state's army, navy, or air force (yes, each state has its own, plus the Imperial ones). And there are angry mobs now and then of people seeking vengeance. There are also crews of pirates, often encouraged or officially rendered privateers by letters of marque and reprisal from the princes. Many of those who might otherwise belong to urban gangs end up in lives of high seas piracy. Many others turn to whaling or slavery, sometimes in addition to piracy. Essentially, there is profit in doing what is so banned in other lands, so as to benefit from large foreign black markets and organized crime syndicates (now there are plenty of those in some states, but they are usually wise enough to bribe the princes and police).

Organized crime is largely rare as crime as a whole is mostly petty and other minor crimes, there are a few organized criminal groups here and there. The most notable, and the most powerful, are the Silver Sword League, an ancient highly organized group of professional thieves and pickpockets, they strictly follow a code of ethics that is there to ensure they do not attract too much attention or draw away potential clients by unnecessarily damaging property or taking lives; and the Black Suit Syndicate, a well-organized gang of well-dressed individuals (primarily humans) who operate quite the operation in the human-dominated territory of Rainier and whom are organized in the style of a mafia. They conduct drug running, arms trafficking, money laundering, and smuggling operations while continuing to evade law enforcement

Gangs, along with all crime in general, is very low. Gang violence was a major problem in the 1990s, until a major crackdown by the Federal Government, now they have all but ceased to exist.

by Imperium Sidhicum
Due to the extensive presence and broad powers of Imperial authorities, true Sidh criminal gangs are non-existent, the closest thing being rogue Freelancer warbands.

Common street crime doesn't require much intelligence and isn't particularly challenging, which means no self-respecting Sidh will engage in it - not to mention that such activities guarantee an eventual one-way trip to a labour camp, from which few ever return. A proper Sidh will therefore prefer borderline illegal activities with ambiguous status that require some brains to think through and leave a legal chance of getting away with minimal to no punishment.

For these reasons, it is not uncommon for outcast Sidhae to organize their own crime groups in the ghettos or the human worlds outside Imperium - Sidh members serve as the brains, using human members to do most of the dirty work for them.

Alternatively, Sidh outlaws make their living as pirates and rogue mercenaries, but their careers too are mostly limited to outside of Imperial space - if word gets out that a band of renegade Sidhae have attacked a Sidh ship or settlement, the Imperial authorities will spare no expense to track down and punish such traitors, so these Sidhae generally prefer to obtain a legal sanction for their operations instead and target the enemies of Imperium exclusively.

---

Brotherhood of the Void is one of the better-known rogue Freelancer bands. While formally being "independent contractors", or privateers officially sanctioned by Imperial authorities, the Brotherhood are also heavily involved in smuggling black-market goods ranging from foreign media records and pornography to narcotics and sex slaves, as well as piracy, quite a few missing ships and raided colonies officially blamed on human or Skargh raiders being on their conscience.

Still, they are generally tolerated, if barely, for the valuable intelligence and recon they provide to the Imperial military in exchange of being left in peace. The Brotherhood operates in fringe regions where Imperial Navy presence is weak, so ships and colonies often have to rely on them for protection, the occasional Sidh ship or settlement raided by them most likely having refused to pay. Freelance operatives are also highly valued by the Imperial intelligence services for the plausible deniability that their use provides - if they get caught on a black operation in enemy territory, Imperium can deny any involvement and dismiss the incident as the acts of a few rogues working on their own accord.
