Viktorika to conduct Workers Intl summit
ILYANOGRAD, VIKTORIKA - The Viktorikan delegation volunteered itself on the arrangements and organizing of the summit planned by the member-nations of the Workers' Internationale by the end of the month, probably by late September, in anticipation of major diplomatic undertakings of the Viktorikan diplomatic entourages and the preparation for a new government proposed by the Premier to the National Assembly.
Assigned by the Peoples' Commissariat of Diplomatic Affairs, Deputy Commissar Albert Schoenberg commented about the criticism left and right in the Great Republic Senate about the incoming summit to be conducted by the Viktorikan delegation. In a recent news post, Viktorika described the surrounds and environment of the capital city Viktorika and its beautiful features. The Pendragonian embassy gave no further comment on the matter, but her imperial commonwealths such as South Stephania in Slavia gave word through Ambassador Micheal Elmsburg, saying "The Imperial Federation is so sure to disagree with this tooling that Viktorika does to its membership in the Quirina Republic. No matter how hard they do, they are still communists meant to be eradicated." The Great Senate gave no word on the matter as well.
Schoenberg detailed few things concerning the Summit that will be organized in Viktorika, the itinerary for the delegates, the major issues of the International and the pressing concerns regarding the growing "false doctrines of belligerent communism" instead of "a revolution so peaceful and unprovoked by any form of violence and apprehension" other than the concerns of the individual member-nations and non-members, which shall be brought up to the Summit as well.
Aleki pushes "Inside Shift" Act, scrapped
KRASKONA, ALEKI - The Senate of Aleki submitted a resolution to the Great Senate about having all the overseas territories be distributed among other mainland Sondrian states, not just merely revolving around the so-called "tri-patrian" states, which are Quirinalia (formerly Romulum as the name used in official documents acquiring overseas lands), Viktorika and Pendragona (formerly Britannina, and more former Britannia-Augusta).
The Senate of Aleki proposed such idea after evaluating the overall performances of each mainland nation, particularly the Quirinalian Federal Republic which holds more states aside from the other two. Curule President Ranza commented about such proposal that "is legitimate to the bounds of the Constitution but unfair to those who contributed manpower and hardwork to establish the states, particularly the ones in Slavia, Khujiristan and Ardentes, all of which faced military conflict, which technically Aleki did not participate, but only through tax money and not direct involvement."
Weeks later after the proposal, it was scrapped applying the reason of Ranza as it may involve gerrymandering, especially that the elections are nearing again, which the Ranza administration must prepare for impartially. When asked who might be the next bearer of the Republic, he only answered "a strongman with a voice of a mouse who can command a legion of lions."
New names, new regime?
VILLA QUIRINA, QUIRINALIA - The Great Senate released the new names of states, although few, can be given great significance due to their well-researched roots. Oppositions are surely met with properly manner, but the Great Senate's word is surely followed upon. Ranza commended the Senate in its efforts to reinforce the cultural identity of such diverse populace in Quirina's lands.
The new names of the states were given for the following states: Pendragona shall be renamed as "Panatia", Aleki as "Etria", Kiuli as "Dalatrya", the capitol of Augustanica will be named as "Castoriam", the capitol of Aleki "Aroena" and many other changes, such as the continental name of Khujiristan into "Mallorion". It was found out that such names were inscribed in the ancient texts deciphered by scientists and archaeologists that were already proposing to the Minister of Education, Culture and Arts of such renaming of places and regions. Panatia was the name of the place where Pendragona presently stands, "Etria" is the name of the woman who volunteered to build the first city in Quirina as a settled community from nomadic attitudes, and "Dalatrya" was the far flung relative or probably descendant of Etria just to find out that Dalatrya and Etria are both related to each other, thus the brotherly relations of Aleki and Kiuli since then. Augustanica changed their capitol's name because of the misinformation spreading among their official documents and needed to be simplified, resorting to "Castorium". "Aroena" was the named city by Etria herself, all prescribed in the
Annals of Diplomacy, the basis of ancient names of the places in Quirina.
The opposition mentioned that the new names will be effective after a new government is elected, however, the administration mentioned that the implementation of the new names are ongoing as we speak, and therefore their thorough and baseless ruckus, as mentioned by hard tounged loyalists, are considered uncontributing to the cultural identity of the nation.
Seventy new JAMs launched, new weapons
POKINISCHE, OPOKIN, SLAVIA - Seventy (70) Joint Armament Missiles were launched yesterday in separate places and occasions after the Viktorikan High Command was given permission by the Arsenalium to practically launch them and make sure they won't orbit Sondrian airspace and according to the VHC, "clear the cloudy thoughts of Quirinese Sondrians neighbors of a possibility of any armed conflict which they really avoid".
Ranza did not opposed nor commanded the launche but it was Chairman of the Presidium Charles von Becklen of the Opokinian Popular Front, a subsidiary political party of the Revolutionary Proletarian Movement in Viktorika, that he was the one who started the launch, with the other commanders overseas started launching devices as well. He knew that a major threat is on the way, and such preparation, the launch was necessary. The considered "ace of combat" by the Quirinalian military was minusculed as a "cannon fodder" of the Viktorikan republics.
The Arsenalium announced the development of an anti-ballistic missile capable of low-Earth orbit, however, details of such feat are yet to be revealed for it is classified information whether or not this is true or another hoax from the opposition parties.
