I'm imagining the 2 cannoned thing to only be used in very very rare and very very specific situations. Yes, twin barreled turrets aren't great, but as was said: they LOOK awesome. And scary. That has got to mean something....
It's not like my country mass produces those as a main battle tank. They're a very rare unit, that spend half their time on parade, a quarter in maintenance, and a quarter actually on military exercises.

Ah, so there the tank equivalent of America's navy.

Really, dual barrels are only useful for artillery. And even then they probably wouldn't be that advantageous.

the M113 would fail epicly as a tank i mean it cant even protect its self against 14.5 machine gun rounds how would it work as a tank ?
In certain circles your lack of faith in the mighty M113 "gavin" would lead to you being labeled as a "naracistic wheeled death trap loving F*cktard" who simply doesn't understand how much the marines are "SCREAMING FOR FIRE SUPPORT" and is in the pay of the evil airforce bureaucracy.
I bet you don't even like webpages with far too many pictures, long rambling sentences and "inspiring" midi tunes.
I short you need to do more reading, either search for M113 gavin on goggle and youtube and educate yourself on the glory of the mighty gavin or if you are actually sane read any of the threads on
tanknet that deal with an indvidual named Sparky or Mike Sparks.
I suspect i've confused you even more now....

M551 Sheridan was aluminum; kicked ass in trials. Just had a tendency to flip over.
M551 was an abysmal failure against any real tank. Not only due to it's short ass cannon, but it's exactly tendency to flip over, and to burn when hit.
M8 AGS would have been lots better.
Lots.
And that's not saying much.

I didn't say it wasn't a failure in actual battle conditions. ;D It's not like I'm promoting the use of the most useless thing ever invented. OR AM I?
