There are missile systems, LADS, CIWS and a multitude of other defenses but when 40,000,000 $50,000 missiles are screaming loaded for bear straight to your defense network as happens ALOT in NS; you are -screwed.-

In certain circles your lack of faith in the mighty M113 "gavin" would lead to you being labeled as a "naracistic wheeled death trap loving F*cktard" who simply doesn't understand how much the marines are "SCREAMING FOR FIRE SUPPORT" and is in the pay of the evil airforce bureaucracy.

I bet you don't even like webpages with far too many pictures, long rambling sentences and "inspiring" midi tunes.

I short you need to do more reading, either search for M113 gavin on goggle and youtube and educate yourself on the glory of the mighty gavin or if you are actually sane read any of the threads on tanknet that deal with an indvidual named Sparky or Mike Sparks.

The primary battle tank of the Dominion is the TCA19 'Orc'. This grunting behemoth is produced in two primary variants. The Mark I Variant of the tank is a primitive piece of steel crewed by inexperienced conscripts, press-ganged off the streets. The tank is fitted with the bare necessities to fight and engage enemy armor with (relative) success. These tanks are sent in by the battalion to force the enemy to expend ammunition, and reveal their fighting positions.

The Mark II variant of the tank is much more precious to the Dominion than the Mk I. Crewed by hardened veterans, the Mark II is filled with the best range finding, and all weather vision sensors the Dominion can provide, and protected by the finest steel, composite, and active defenses money can buy. These tanks are often grouped into 'Eagle Banner' formations, ready to engage sections of the enemy line weakened by the deaths of the crews in the Mark Is. With iron well, and sharp eyes, Eagle Banner formations smash open the enemy, killing them while they struggle to recover from the previous massed armor charge.



On occasions when air superiority is assured, or nothing is needed but layer after layer of steel and other protection, the Dominion unleased the TCA23 'Mamluk' Super-Heavy tank. Coated in armor capable of shrugging off anything up to and including a Hellfire missile, the Mamluk is a tank of ridiculous expense and limited utility. It is maintained primarily for occasions when its sheer size and bulk would be enough of an intimidating factor for enemy troops who are, after all, only human, and the image of a massive, grunting steel behemoth must invoke some primal sense to flee.
