IIRC after ww2 the only people who carried on with FlaK/PaK 88s were the Yugoslavians and the alst of thiers appear to have disappearing during the Balkan conflicts.

The lack of usage isn't liekly to be anything to do with effectiveness more to do with the fact that russians and US hoovered them up voraciously when they could find them and the distaste in liberated europe for using anything german. Whislt no longer cutting edge the PaK/Kwk 43 would certainly have been a considerable threat to the common tanks in the 1950s.

Actually dude, the 88 was an effective weapon in knocking out Sherman tanks. In scenario, there were four 88 cannons versus nine Shermans, and guess who won... the 88. So it was an effective weapon during its time, and I read that they were still in service in some Eastern European nations (like in the 90s and this came from a magazine called WWII History)...

And please note I could be wrong that they were decommissioned officially in the 90s.

I think the tank thing in the image was meant to be a mobile gun platform, not really an MBT, notice the lack of any real sloping. As for the stats, get rid of the minigun, and you are good.

The Panzershrek would work, but the 88mm might have trouble against the front and side armour of the Char assuming it isn't using a modern HEAT shell but what they had back in 1940.

The Germans had HE Rounds for tanks and artillery along with AP rounds. It would destroy it.... that 88mm is a pretty big gun...
