We basically imbue fibers from a destroyed anomalous artifact into the armour, the properties of the armour vary greatly all boiling down to which artifact we imbue into it.
We commonly imbue the 'Mama's Bead' artifact for it's ability to make materials alot more resistant to incoming projectiles and a 'Moonlight' Artifact, for it's ability to increase the durability of materials, but increases their electrical conductivity.

A side effect of the artifacts is that it also makes the armour lighter, as the artifact pieces posses minor gravitational defuncts, making them hover, of course, imbued into armour only makes the said armour lighter.

We simply imbued Tungsten armour with these artifacts, and from there on out, you have a more efficient armour.
Costly and requires a fuckload of effort, but it's worth it.

T-89 UD Main Battle Tank

The following (T-89UD) is an advancement of Strognovikian T-86 tanks. The T-86 was a project abandoned ever since the development of the S-17, also an extremely old design. Be advised that, as most tanks from the Strognovikain Design Bureau, are improvements of Russian and German tanks, due to their Russian and German history and traditions. Please note Strognovik is a PMT nation, and we are slightly more technologically advanced than you MT nations.

Biography

After rolling off the racks at the Omsk Plant in Strognovikian-Controlled Western Russia, the T-89UD is a promising champion. Arguably the best main battle tank of Strognovik, the Wolf m1 and the Dire Wolf all pale in comparison with the versatility of the T-89. The HV 132mm smoothbore, again, can be fitted with 140mm or 152mm if preferred by the tank commander, making it on even grounds with the Dire Wolf; the armor package is thicker and can mount the Kaktus ERA instead of just the obsolete Kontakt-5; It is cheaper; and it has a new K-7 Active Protection System. Yet, the original plans were to modernize the T-86, but the T-89 became a separate design entirely.

Armament

The armament is the usual standard-issue 132mm gun as found on most Strognovikian tanks. Again, like most tanks made by the Omsk Plant since 2043, it is interchangeable with 140mm and 152mm smoothbores. It sports a 27mm co-axial cannon and a 12.7mm machine gun above the commander's hatch. The 27mm chaingun can fire 750 rounds a minute and is seen as the perfect balance between 20mm and 30mm cannons. Also, the 27mm anti-aircraft guns can be mounted to give a stronger defense vs gunships and attack helicopters and can be programmed as CIWS.

Armor Package

The T-89 has the same S-103 Reflective-Composite Armour as found on its predecessors, except it is 312 mm thick instead of 300 and can mount Relikt and Kaktus ERA instead of Kaktus-5. It still sports the following key components:

Tungsten and DU meshes
Plastics and Ceramics
Resin, Epoxies, and rubber (NERA)
Carbon Fiber
Carbon crystals

Again, the order and quantity of each is classified, but has a thickness of 312mm. It offers up to 1200mm of protection from Armor Piercing Discarding Sabot rounds (APFSDS) and more than 1400mm against shaped charges and much more for HEAT rounds.

Frontal Armour meausures 12.3 inches and skirting armour about 5 inches.

Nah, that would be if I didn't warn you.

You'll never gain enough in ROF to make up for the lack of storage space for ammo, the reduced overall size the guns need to be (you can fit one much larger gun than the two, in the same amount of space) not to mention the increase in space needed for two loaders (auto, or humans trained to). Basically, it's intentionally handicapping the design to no benefit.

Allright people. Here is.... The T-128 "Titan" Heavy Main Battle Tank. A&D's supertank.


Armed with a dual-stage 150mm ETI RAVEN gun for infinite lol. (Note: 150mm Dystopian is not an artillery gun.) Uses Fox-7 as propellant. Can reach out for 6 kilometers (stationary targets). Also armed with a coax 50mm CTA ETI autocannon, a 14.5mm coax CTA chain gun, a 14.5mm CTA recoil-operated MG, a Crookfur Arms 120mm mortar, a Lamoni "Attero" anti-air guided missile system, and a modular weapon station capable of carrying a wide variety of weapons up to 25mm autocannons, 40mm automatic grenade launchers, or even miniguns. Am I overarming this thing? Yes. Do I care? No.

Armour is top of the line titanium + Dorchester armour with explosive reactive plates attached. Slat armour and NERA is appearent on certain places as well. (Can't be seen on this lineart.) Also equipped with an APS, and top-of-the-line electronics.

Scale is 66 px to the meter. For people familliar with Lineart Inc, that's a shipbucket image three times enlarged. And frankly enough, it is also exactly the same scale as Franscale (I didn't intended it to be!); 1px = 1.5 cm.

I'm not entirely happy with many parts of my design (my dull colour pattern, the lack of perspective, the scale at which I drawed this), but still... Critique is more then welcome.

Nope, it's MT. The 150mm gun has basically the same amount of propellant as a 140mm\130mm gun, but in a wider and shorter package. The idea is that intergration of GLATGM's would be easier.

Ammunition and propellant are seperately stored for better safety. A couple of Russian tanks use this too. (EDIT: oh wait, just realised I quoted Rroan, you probably already know this lol)

Our primary main battle tank was the T-90 but a mass re-armament programme has seen it withdrawn as primary MBT. An upgraded variant, the T-90-X serves with reservist Armoured units, whilst the T-90-X-2 still serves with great distinction with the 1st and 2nd CAMID (see sig).

Project DAVID, a family of armoured vehicles based around a super-light tank destroyer, boasts a heavy APC, the original tank destroyer, a heavy 'siege engine' and an artillery platform. However, the programme is highly classified, preventing the release of information greater than that.
There is an Armoured Division comprised entirely of VMK AG AY-1 Serenity MBTs, which are fielded in a heavy tank role as opposed to their intended MBT.

The Katana MBT is a Libertarian Governance effort to develop a MBT superior to all others. The Katana Mod 2 uses a Saturn 7 gas turbine rated at 2550 lbs. The Katana utilizes a combination of steel encased depleted uranium/titanium alloy armor and Chobham with to give this 80 metric ton MBT an estimated maximum frontal turrent of 2,250mm RHAe vs HEAT rounds and 1344 mm versus kinetic energy penetrators. This is accomplished both with the composition of the armor and the sloping of the armor which cause both shaped charges and kinetic-energy penetrators to be a great deal less effective.

Armed with a 140mm auto-loading smooth bore high pressure gun with Advanced Integrated Propulsion System (AIPS) in a low profile automated turret, hydropneumatic suspension, Contact Reactive armor, K10 Multi-sensor Target Acquisition Sensor, CDC ADA based fire control system, lightweight track, advanced chemical agent alarm, NBC collective protection system and a Vehicle Integrated Defense System with countermeasures, threat sensors and smoke. The tank is equipped with an automatic Halon fire extinguishing system which is activated within 2 milliseconds of a fire outbreak and extinguishes a fire within 250 milliseconds.





The automated turret holds the 140mm auto loading anti-tank gun which has a muzzle energy of 24MJ and a reload time of 3 secs. The gun uses an advanced autoloader that utilizes software and sensors to spot ammunition anomalies and is located in the turret bustle. With ammunition separated from the crew compartment by an armored blowout bulkhead crew survivability greatly increases. Finally, horizontal ammunition arrangement in the turret bustle permits using longer (and therefore, more powerful) APFSDS rounds, unitary ammunition, simplified automatic loading process and an increased rate of fire of 20 rounds per minute.

The three-man crew is seated in an armored capsule inside the hull of the tank. With supplies and lavatory for 72 hours of combat operations the crew each man has 6 LCD screens providing data over the integrated combat network and by exterior high-resolution cameras with light-intensification and infrared sensors, an infrared laser rangefinder, and an integrated Electronic Support Measures (ESM) array. Millimeter wave radar allows gun engagements on attack helos using airbursting rounds. With the ability to use Aries fire and forget, top attack ATGMs, Puma laser guided SAMs, Puma 2 fire and forget, IR homing SAMs and 140 mm Hades Rockets.





The Contact Reactive Armor ERA gives the turret an angled appearance, with the ERA bricks forming a "clam shell" appearance. ERA bricks on the turret roof provide protection from top-attack weapons. The design of contact features explosive sandwiched between two metal plates. The plates are arranged in such a way as to move sideways rapidly when the explosive detonates. This will force an incoming KE-penetrator or shaped charge jet to cut through more armor than the thickness of the plating itself, since "new" plating is constantly fed into the penetrating body.

Additionally, the Optronic counter measures system is designed to disrupt laser target designation and rangefinders of incoming ATGM round. Optronic includes a laser warning package that warns the tank crew when it is being lased and an electro-optical jammer. Plus there is a grenade discharging system which produces an aerosol screen and a computerized control system to coordinate the vehicles defense and its Chainmail 2 active protection system.

Chainmail Phase 2 includes an F/G band fire-control radar with four flat-panel antennas mounted on the vehicle, with a 360-degree field of view. When a weapon is fired at the vehicle, the internal computer uses the signal from the incoming weapon and calculates an approach vector. Once the incoming weapon is fully classified, the computers calculate the optimal time and angle to fire the neutralizers to intercept the threat at a distance of 5 to 30 meters from the protected vehicle. The response comes from two rotating launchers installed on the sides of the vehicle.The launchers are normally stowed behind armored plating and only deploy when a threat is detected.The launchers fire the neutralizing agents, which explode in front of a threat forming a dense "curtain" of high velocity reactive explosive fragments within one millisecond. The system is designed to have a very small kill zone, so as not to endanger troops adjacent to the protected vehicle. Due to its use of reactive materials Phase 2 is considered about 500 times more effective then the first generation system on other LG Defense vehicles.The system is designed to have a very small kill zone, so as not to endanger troops adjacent to the protected vehicle. It doesn't really give you moar dakka considering that you run out of ammunition faster and can engage fewer enemies than if you have 3, 4, 5, or more single barreled machine guns.
