I've got my doubts you know a Brigadier General, let alone one with enough knowledge of the subject to be able to say so. Being an officer does not make you an expert in a subject. Especially not when the entire military backs some members to know this, and they say otherwise.
Obama could say it was residual heat, and he'd still be wrong. Because (Drumroll please) he does not know enough about the specifics to be able to tell. Just like taking AP Biology in high school does not make you a neurosurgeon. So if you do know an O7 who has told you that (I Doubt - Especially as in the 20 years since then almost all O7's at that time have retired), then he or she is wrong, and there is nothing more to it.
first, yeah i know several high up officers, but they are mostly Navy and actually called some of them last night, seems most agree with you(like i did suspect, you guys have no reason to lie). but not this guy.
the O7 in question is in fact reitired, but he also wasn't an O7 at the time.
He has a Masters in National Defense and Strategic Studies.
He wasn't a Brigadier General he was a Rear Admiral
and lastly, WTH you seriously can't let this die, i thought this was over is it seriously that important to prove me wrong on whether or not i know someone.

Honestly, I'm not sure making a force of Bob Semple Tanks would actually be cheaper than buying the same number of surplus T-55s. I mean, you have to find and purchase a fleet of old bulldozers, do all the necessary work converting and up-armoring them, and set up a logistics pipeline for all of them. And if you went as cheapskate as possible with the bulldozers (to acquire them for less than a surplus T-55) you would probably end up with a ton of different models and brands, making logistics a nightmare.
Or you just buy up a bunch of the most widely available and numerous tank in human history, for a per-tank cost similar to that of a used truck. Which gives you >9000 times as much bang for your buck as a Bob Semple Tank. Easy choice.

So many problems.
1. Why so heavy? It will cost many times more than an Abrams to transport due to its weight.
2. Why such a small gun? You will barely scratch the armour of most NS tanks.
3. Why turbine? It is much less efficient and has a higher heat signature.
4. Titanium is expensive, unless you don't mind spending $30 million per tank, don't use it in place of, or alongside steel.
5. Price is too low.

I'll go down this list then:
1: Where did he do his masters?
2: Where has he been published?
3: With what unit did he serve in ODS?
Those are three basic questions he should both be able to, and be highly willing to answer to anyone who asks.
I'll reiterate that I highly doubt your claims of knowing several flag-rank officers, current or former, in the US forces. In the world of internet arguments it's much more likely you made a claim, got called out, and are trying to save face. Which is quite frankly a waste of time for both of us, as we know you are wrong. Admitting it does not make you look any worse, but dragging out lies to save face does.

If you need help, I am available, and Sumer (Dostonought Loj or whatever his name in NS is) would probably be willing to help, either post questions here and someone will answer them, or TG me and I will answer it, or refer you to someone.
