well i wouldn't think green would set the "scare factor," it would kinda give an impression to the enemies that we are "tree lovers"

I think it would depend on the shade of green, I pictured a more neon green, like a radioactive green...
which made more of a "mutant" impression in my mind...

It doesn't look environmental to me. It looks large, blocky, easy to hit and very tough.
It also looks like it eats trees with mine flails.
