In Sketch up I was wondering if there's a way to make one half automaticaly mirror the other half of a model? Working on a tank Turret and can't make the second side match the first.

Yes there is. Lets see if I can remeber how to do it correctly...

What you do is click the select tool and drag it over what you wish to copy (like a select box in paint). Then paste what you copied. Keeping the select box over one of the two pieces, right click to bring down the shortcut list and go to "flip along" then flip it along the axis that gives you desired view. Since I don't know what axis you drew along I can't tell you which one to select. You might, might, need to use the rotate tool to rotate it 180 degrees, but i'm not sure exactly.

Of course there might be a shorter way, but above is how I did it.

I don't have limitless funds, but I can probably spend around $5 million per tank, maybe more. Terrain, can't be sure on what countries I will be operating it in. I can't know either what tanks I'll be facing. I'm just looking for a versatile tank, something that's doesn't break the bank, but can still be relied on.

I don't have limitless funds, but I can probably spend around $5 million per tank, maybe more. Terrain, can't be sure on what countries I will be operating it in. I'm working on designing a more modern version of the Czar tank, perhaps as a sort of fast tank. It would have better armored wheels, and perhaps a missile launcher or two. And the wheels will be angled, for better balence.

The problem with LBM was not the wheels, but the rear steering assembly, which clogged with mode after 30 feet on a dry day. When it rained, maybe three feet.

Modernizing LBM is pretty much impossible without the same issues.

Unless you ignored the issue all together.. And I mean this by saying that a steering apperatus may not need be so complicated. And as to those who shun star wars, note that many modern scientific innovations are often inspired by science fiction. Tanks for example, would likely not have come to being if not for people of the late 19th century creating fanciful stories of land ironclads and the likes.

He may have created prototypes, but people in the early 20th century weren't likely even aware of these. Just because the idea exists, doesn't mean it is known by everyone. Besides Leonardo was not always as revered as he is today.

However, a year before that the unified field theory was independentaly invented by Sir Arthur Reginold III of Canterborshire or whatever. But since Dr. Moa's idea was never really passed on, yet no Sir Arthur Reginold III of Canterborshire's idea is being used by everyone, which would you say provided the basis for modern unified field theory? Dr. Moa may have thought of it long before anyone else, but his invention was never really passed on, or used by his feathery comrades, even before they went extinct. Unfortunetly, in the grand scheme of things, at least in that of the discovery of unified field theory, Dr. Moa's invention will be seen as an intresting tidbit. The same could be said, sadly of Da Vinci's "tank".
