nice, now i've got an accurate case capacity. also, this is the boolit. i suppose i could use a 10.4 sec. density though, taking me up to 107 grains of boolit weight.

Like I said before, 4.6x30<5.7x28.

As I recall, Puz's "scathing damnation" of the 4.6mm HK only really covered it's lack of overall terminal effectiveness. Not it's superior range, trajectory or armour penatration.

BUT I CARE NOT.

In testing preformed by NATO in 2002, they found 4.6x30 H&K to be inferior to 5.7x28 in almost every way. 4.6x30 H&K was an average of 27% less effective in its MAIN AREAS than 5.7x28. Main areas being, you know, what it is designed for.

4.6x30 has a lower effective range, less energy, is less effective at penetration of armor, and is typically less accurate (thanks to the weapons).

5.7 is, to quote David Oliver, "undoubtedly" the more efficient cartridge.

The Germans bitched about the whole 4.6mm vs 5.7mm thing because #HK, hence why nobody has a standard fucking round for PDWs in NATO. If the US adopted 5.7mm FN as its standard PDW round for the military, then NATO would have to go along even if Germany bitched. Problem is that the US only uses the MP7 for the SEALs and the P90 and Five-Seven for law enforcement on the federal level.

That'll be the only way for NATO to get a standard PDW round. See also, 7.62mm NATO, 5.56mm NATO. Does not apply to 9mm NATO since it was Europe that won the bitchfest over pistol rounds.
