Old meme.
The situation to which it refers featured several hundred others, some of whom were indeed injured in the raid.
You're aware that the US tried that and that it didn't actually work, right?

Most compact assault rifles aren't really any heavier than SMG's. The M4 is about as heavy as the MP5 for instance.
There is a reason why SMG's are becoming less widespread in modern armies, Assault rifles have replaced them in most roles.
It's the same reason why PDW's haven't really caught on.
It's a pretty big drawback that lack of terminal effectiveness you know, considering that it's intended to be a personal defense weapon.

EDIT: Anyway, what is NS' consensus on MP9 vs MP7? And possibly forgoing pistols entirely in favor of (very) compact PDWs such as those two? Initially I was considering an MP7 in 7.62 Tok alongside a pistol, but the MP9 is a bit more compact, lighter, simpler (short recoil vs short gas) and just looks like it'd fair better as a pistol replacement:

..and for troops that rely on a PDW/SMG as their main weapon I could have something like a MP5, SIG MPX, etc.
You haven't read Puz's scathing damnation of all that is 4.6x30 HK?

Christ love. As I've said a dozen times before, you capitalize on the advantages of PDW cartridges (flat trajectory, low recoil, massive magazines, etc. . .) and shoot the bastard multiple times!
Why is it that no one but me seems to have come to this conclusion? You know the ruddy bastard isn't going to drop on the first round, so you put three or five into him.

Thinking of using a basic 3:1 ratio of 5.56mm NATO ARs to 7.62mm NATO GPMGs. Each infantry section being eight men, divided into two sticks of four each. Each stick would consist of the following:
Stick Leader - Pindad SS2, Browning Hi-Power
Grenadier - Pindad SS2-V1 w/ Pindad SPG-1A UBGL
Rifleman - Pindad SS2, extra 7.62mm bandolier
Machinegunner - FN MAG

It's hard to shoot a guy that is trying not to get shot, regardless of what you are trying to hit him with.
If you are close enough to hit the guy multiple times reliably with a PDW cartridge, you are close enough to do the same thing with an intermediate or a pistol cartridge.

Why are you bothering with vegetarian meals? I think if you're in the military, you're past the point where you can really care about animals, given that your job is to kill people. Plus, everyone knows that vegetarians are dirty hippies and shouldn't be any position of responsibility, period.

Looks good to me, but why not the SS3? Bullpup will serve you better when maneuvering in jungle.
