Go get a piece of wood that's a quarter inch thick, six inches tall, and four inches wide. Now go get a piece of wood that is an inch and a half wide, six inches tall, and an inch and a half wide. Hold them vertically in the hand so their "width" is going the length of your hand. Which is easier to hold?

Single stack versus double stack affects only the width of a grip. At the same time, you still need cartridges in that grip that are short enough to allow you to actually get a grip on the handgun with your palm and fingers comfortably.

While I do admit that human medical experiments preformed by the Nazis have helped tremendously with our understanding of modern medicine and anatomy, I too found this in poor taste.

I have had the most crazy random idea lately. Take a 30x165mm shell and remove the projectile, than fill it up to the brim with enough propellant to be just on the good side of safe but also quite easily count as +P+. Cap that with a plug made out of plastic, wax or what ever. Really, what ever. I don't intend the plug to survive. It only needs to plug the case so that the powder does not fall out before I fire it. All the damage is supposed to be done by the muzzle flash.

And to fire it all, imagine a short barreled 30mm boomstick with a trumpet like muzzle firing 30mm fireballs.

I just want to know how safe and lethal it would be and what range I could get out of it. I mean it has to reach out at least a few meters right?

Yes on both counts. And that's even without the huge tanks of flammable liquid on your back. Plus, I am not looking for a flame thrower so much as a room clearer that also happens to set the place on fire and make life miserable for everyone possibly including the shooter.

That^ may provide a burst of inspiration, or maybe a roster of things to avoid, frankly, I was just throwing in as many caustic, destructive, poisonous and flammable chemical components into one directional flamebreathing thingamajig. Chemically, several of the things involved would probably kill the blokes involved in regard to the industrial processes to begin with. But ah, whatever, give it a once over, pick things out, ect.

Assuming I go all out and use 30x173mm as my base for improvements does that make for a decent room clearing gun? Also, how dangerous would it be for the user? And how likely would it be to set stuff on fire even when you don't want it to? Also, how much recoil would it have?
