What does that little oval in bayonets actually do? I put one in mine w/out knowing why.

Oh, that's why. I knew wire-cutters and sheaths appeared in bayonet usage, but hadn't realised that that was what made the magic happen.

It's anorexic for one thing. Assuming a 1mm/px scale, the blade looks hilariously flimsy while the handle seems rather short.

I don't think you can cut concertina wire with most wire cutters, you need explosives to.

is it possible to make a bullpup rifle that, having a traditional, right-side ejection port, will be able to be fired ambidextrously? kinda like, by ejecting the rounds a little forward?

The idea is that at a glance it looks like a somewhat stylized recording device or similar, so in a crowd of reporters an assassin can hold it up, bang, who me nope I'm just another guy with a microphone. For bonus points, it could theoretically hold a smaller recording device in the forward section.

Out of interest, what would an IFV with so few dismounts be used for?

Think of it less as an HIFV (That's a filler term because I'm lazy for now), and more a recce in force vehicle that has been "aquired" by the infantry and pressed into service to give them more firepower. In its original role, it carries a crew of 3, and has space for various role-specific stuff, and more TOWs, lots more TOWs. The infantry threw much of that out and the vehicle has "dismounts".

I expect it would take them all of 15 seconds to determine that I have neither the inclination nor skills to actually make it work
