In my opinion, using the .38 ACP as a base completely misses the point of trying to make a compact, low recoil cartridge for machine pistols.

Then use 8mm Nambu, 7mm Nambu, or 9mm Nambu.

i use the following calibers for sidearms. upon entering military service, the soldier chooses one out of four possible models, each chambered for a different round.

9mm Parabellum
.45 ACP
.40 S&W
7.62x25mm Tokarev

Then use 8mm Nambu, 7mm Nambu, or 9mm Nambu.

8mm Nambu is barely 1mm shorter than the 9mm Parabellum, 7mm Nambu seems kinda pathetic, and I can't find too much on 9mm Nambu.

All told, 6.5mm ACP seems the best out of the lot, with a decent 442m/s from a 95mm barrel, and 467m/s from a 127mm barrel.

In Kouralia three rounds are typically used: .303KourP (basically 7.62x25mm in something like 7..7x26mm), .455Kour (guess) and .45/30 Govt, which is named as an expy of .45/70 Govt (which sounds cool), but is actually a .455Kour case necked down to a .303KourP bullet for much 6.5x25mm CBJ lolage.

.450 Fordorsian. It's clearly the best. .500 Fordorsian is also used rarely, but it's expensive and not issued.

Very good. A STEN cost ~$13 to make at the time. This would probably cost about $10 (at the time) for the metal parts.

well, yeah, artillery serves well until tanks/APCs roll in at close range. but that's what the RPG-equipped, IFV-borne motorized infantry protecting the artillery groups is for.

9x23mm Win (previously standard issue for the Amry and navy, currently being phased out)
9x24mm CFC (new caseless round currently being introduced for SMGs and psitols in the army/navy)
.455 Bannoc Ultra Mag/11.5x40mm (lulzomatic big ass revolver cartridge, that the Special Servcie Sectiosn and some Chosen men have somehow maanged to get on the issue cartridge list...)

8.7mm Nicole, and .44-40 Chevalier in the actual military. LEO departments vary.

yeah, the Leopard tanks germany sold us. i still think we would have better used our national projects (that have unfortunately not been adopted ue to lack of funding, their companies bankrupted and the designs faded into obscurity), the Tamoyo and the T-1 Osório.

anyways, i think the IDT thread is more, like, for infantry... it's not like we don't have a vehicle thread.

For Fordorsia, it is the Mk.1 Autocannon that was first issued in 1915 and is still in service today.

The action and magazine have remained mostly untouched in all that time. Only real difference comes in the other stuff, such as caliber, furniture, barrel length, how it's issued, etc.
