Generally speaking when you hold something up to the sun it doesn't have a grey background.

Before people flock in to tell you the XM8 melts in your hand, you should know there was a very late prototype which largely solved the issue, though it still did not meet weight requirements.

Good choice, although if I were you I'd modify the rifle to use Noveske Keymod style PCAPs instead of normal HK style PCAPs.

I know and I do have the XM8 has alot of potential and time and money has been sunk into fixing those issues and policy changes have occurred allowing it to enter service and it has been in service for quite a while and we are looking into replacements for it but it will remain in service for the time being

Yes I am aware of that and like with the XM8 we are currently looking t=into effective replacements for a majority of our Military Equipment

A little background on Muzztopia. it was founded several years prior after a Military Coup in the US and has really recently begun looking into new equipment to replace the stuff left to them by their predecessor as it has only recently become clear that there is a need to upgrade Muzztopias military Equipment

Why replace it? It's a great rifle.

Because it has been in service for several decades (of NS time not real world time of course) and though still effective it is clear a replacement will be needed for it in the near future

I can see trying to phase it out in favor of a rifle with a longer range if you're engaging forces at long ranges fairly often, but that's not really anything an XM8 chambered in 7.62x40mm Wilson Tactical or 6.8x43mm Remington SPC II can't solve.
