What is the name of your national anthem, what is its name, and what is its history? Please explain at length.

Our national anthem is old and based off of a passage from the Torah. It's called Lilium, and its author is unknown. Every Monday in every school nationwide a few generations ago, students and faculty alike would stand to face Consigahria's flag (compulsorily hung in each classroom), officially nicknamed the Shirohata Jiyuu (白旗自由 White Flag of Liberty) by Vermillion City students, while someone sang the national anthem to an intrumental piano in the background over the public announcement system. This also was a ritual performed at the beginning of every school week, but that is now only compulsory in private schools. In a formal assembly, by law all hats are to be removed, the right hand is to either cover the heart or hang by one's side, replaced by the left hand at the forehead in a salute to the Consigahrian flag. (The Salute, as it's called, is only done outside. Inside a building, a salute can be considered disrespectful.) After everybody is saluting, the Colour Guard of whatever presiding agency (JROTC, DTYC, etc.), somebody (usually also from the JROTC or DYTC) sings the national anthem, which sounds a little like this...

(What you see in the brackets, //, is not required by law to be sung and normally is not. It is not mandatory to know the national anthem, but it's a pretty good idea if you plan to be Majestic [that is to say if you plan to be a police officer, a firefighter, an FBI agent, a Division agent, etc after the 12th grade].)

This song can be found on YouTube. Just search "Lilium." Outside of Consigahria, Lilium is perceived to have been sung by Kumiko Noma. She has sung and recorded the song before, but she had to get legal written permission from our Ministry of Defense and our Ministry of Copyright. The song is now publicly owned by the Just Monocratic Commonwealth of Consigahria and the Vermillion Plantations.

Oddly enough, an abridged version of the song was used by the anime Elfen Lied. This adaptation of the song is thought to have been inspired by "Elfenlied" ("Elf Song"), a poem written in German by Eduard Mörike that was adapted into a lied by Hugo Wolf. The anime revolves around the interactions, views, emotions, and differences between human beings and the Diclonii, a mutant species similar to humans in build but distinguishable by two horns on their heads and "vectors", transparent telekinetically controlled arms that have the power to manipulate and cut objects within their reach. The series is centered on the teenage Diclonius girl "Lucy" who was rejected by human beings and subsequently wants revenge.

"We Teddies Unite" is a song from the climax of a patriotic musical that was put on when the Teddy Bear Republic Empire was the Federation of Bear States, newly formed out of four Bear supernations. It was chosen, out of a pool of 1200 folks songs and patriotic tunes, by a commitee appointed by the Federal Council, and subsequently voted on by the populace, winning by a narrow margin.

The National Anthem's copyright is no longer owned by the theater government, but as a public work, and several variations exist: this one is the official, standard, nationally recognized one. In general practice, one must remove a hat and place your hand over heart / salute when the anthem is played, which is usually when the flag of the TBRE is played or before a major event. Although it is not played in schools, unlike other nations, many people know it and the tune off by heart.

The poem was originally written in the 1870s by Reverend Samuel Clark, of a small village in the northeast of Thurask. The melody was composed by an unknown composer prior to Clark's poem. The anthem was an unofficial song of Thurask between its creation and the end of the Empire in 1911. After the Revolution of 2010, a contest was held to determine the new anthem of Thurask. This song was chosen to be the anthem after winning the most votes in a nation-wide poll.

This is my new NationState, The United Socialist States of Saor Éireann, I have another one, which has been around for a while, The Free Realms of West Cork and Kerry, which is in fact an autonomous region (nearly a different country completely) of my country.

Our national anthem is a traditional Irish song, which became known as an Irish Rebel Song during the 20th century. It is called "Óró sé do Bheatha 'Bhaile", and there are two versions, the original Jacobite one and a more modern one by Padraig Pearse, one of the leaders of the Easter Rising of 1916. We always use Pearse's version.

The revolutionary (as opposed to "national") anthem of the Federation of Egyptian Soviets is the Internationale.

Ours is "Hail Columbia". It was originally the first United States anthem and is a United States patriotic song but has been adopted by our nation as our anthem because the American Revolution inspired the Confederate Revoulution. No Independent can take credit for its lyrics, but it is still our anthem.

Our national anthem is “Viυat Astroliniυm”. It has been our anthem since May of 2012, and was written by local composer, school teacher, and (very minor) pop sensation Titania Caspian, with help from His Majesty King Astorias Maldivis III. The lyrics are based off the Astrolinian Measure of Devotion, which was our nation’s pledge of allegiance from 1901–1987.
