Our national anthem is 'The Minstrel Boy', taken from a traditional Irish song but it fits equally well in our own circumstances.

The minstrel boy to the war is gone,

The new national anthem of Saurisia is Jurassic Eternal, composed by 15-year old musical prodigy David Howe, an Allosaurus from rural Reptilia. The old anthem, "Saurisia, Land of Prehistoric Species" will still be played at patriotic ceremonies and events, albeit only in lyricless form.

Other songs that are historical anthems include Die Wacht am Rhein and Pride of a Reptilian Nation. The former was used from 1888 to 1915 while the latter was the national anthem from 1616 to 1878 (having been written by John Horridus himself) and was reinstated in 1915 before it was banned by Leonard Damon's regime in 1943. It was then replaced by Saurisia, Land of Prehistoric Species in the aftermath of the Summer Revolution in 1947. Though both are still commonly played at patriotic events, especially the latter.

The Igovian Soviet Commonwealth recognises a number of 'national' anthems, some of them more accurately transcending borders. Both The Internationale and The Red Flag are considered legitimate national songs, but more specific to Beddgelert is the following-

Many different versions of the song exist, and, of course, usually they are sung in one or other Geletian Celtic dialect. When sung en mass by thousands of comrades with scores of dialects the alternating lyrics make little impression on the melody, and all convey the same sentiment: Geletians will die to the last rather than surrender their liberty, and will decapitate no small number of their would-be oppressors in the process.

Our nation's anthem is a short one until we adopt a better more patriotic one. But for now it is called Dimensions with Jesus because our nation was founded by heavy Christians, but free religion is increasing in popularity, so we plan to change.
