Xenophobia is omnipresent and is often the cause of international crises, along with the general ignorance of other species and their behaviors.

However racism is very uncommon in the Confederated Socialist Republic, and racists are looked down upon as uneducated and uncivilised.

The Government has actively encouraged immigration from outside of Europe to help develop our economy and to diversify our culture, breaking down the old bourgeoisie Vordanian values. East Vordania was also a key partner to many nations with strong anti-colonial movements and we have historically helped train those revolutionary movements seeking independence from European Imperialist powers.

However we would be lying if we said that non-whites were not subject to racism, especially in more rural areas and in deprived inner city areas. Unfortunately we have not been able to completely destroy reactionary attitudes amongst elements of the population. It is not uncommon for a ruling party dignitary to resign following a racist outburst, and the Military and Police Forces remain exclusively white, although after a generation of immigration we are beginning to see a slight increase in native non-whites completing their National Service.

Racism in the ISA hasn't always existed since the ISA was formed out of the second American Civil War before hand no racism existed since the ISA didn't exist. But now some decades on from the war racism is imbedded into the very fabric of culture and identity of every white ISA citizens rich and poor alike. The whole reason some rich ISA citizens say racism became resurrected stemmed from several cases involving bias choices and decisions amongst federal and state employees attacking the culture of white Americans. So several white groups such as the KKK regained a foothold big enough to even challenge the Federal Government which they did which led to the 2nd American civil war after winning the war which some say should have been won during the 1861-1865 civil war. After the war the remainders of the federal government retreated into the Carolinas and they reformed into the nation of the Carolin Islands. Once the Feds were out of the way the new ISA leadership brought back segregation disbanded the 13, 14, & 15th amendments and replaced them with new ones detailing that slavery and racism were now protected under law since most of the black population couldn't afford to leave they were subjected to harsh racism and taken into camps just like the Japanese were during WW2. Now racism is taught as a mandatory school subject starting in pre-k through high school in college students are taught on how the founding of the nation came from racism and how crime levels dropped as a result of legalized segregation and racism. So in short hand our nation is very racist.
