Only a few million people speak Sondsteadish, and outside of people with a particular interest in the culture or who are of Sondsteadish descent foreigners don't tend to learn it, so instead we've made universal bilingualism a major goal in our educational system. Compulsory education in either English or French (lately English has been the more popular choice, but French is stronger as an international language in Maredoratica than in most parts of the world) begins when a student enters primary school at age six or seven.

As a result, a large majority of the population reports being conversational in English and upwards of one third report being conversational in French. German has dropped in popularity as a foreign language over the years but remains the third most spoken foreign language. Czech, Magyar, and Sinitalian round out the main foreign language taught in Sondstead, although all are rather less popular than English, French, and German.

In parts of the country with indigenous linguistic minorities, namely the northeastern and far northern areas where several Finnic languages are spoken, some people are trilingual or even quadrilingual; many Makeish people speak Makeish, Sondsteadish, and a foreign language and some of the Almai and Nen people of the far north have some command of their native language, Makeish, Sondsteasish, and a foreign language, although very rarely fluent in all of them. In the Sondsteadish Antilles, the majority speaks an English derived creole natively, but most can also speak Sondsteadish as it is the primary language of the school system and French is also widely studied.

Beiluxia is a multilingual society due to its diverse history and relationship with the French, English, and Native Beiluxians. Beiluxians are one of the most diverse people on Earth, with about half the population originating from mixed (European & Native) heritage. Beiluxia officially has three national languages: Beiluxian, English, and French. Public schools promote multilingual students by mandating them to learn at least two languages over the course of grade school. According to the 2010 National Census, 53% of Beiluxians use more than one official language on a daily basis. Three out of ten households report speaking two or more languages at home as well. In addition, 78% of citizens said they know at least basic comprehension of two or more official languages.

Yes.
All non-commissioned officers of the People's Standing Army are required to be able to speak English and utilise NATO-standard English-language codes to a passable degree whilst all commissioned officers and commanders are required near-fluency of English.
English is considered an official language of the People's Republic, alongside the mother tongue of Russian.

Many careers that are considered "international" such as banking, contract work, governmental employ, power and infrastructure also often make a requirement of English-speaking capacity.

During the final stage of secondary education, students descidem if they want to learn a language last, which may be German or Spanish.

In conclusion then that is requirido 4 languages for use everyday, especially the first two, the last two are for training in public higher education.

Multilingualism is common in terms of media, advertisement, official statements, signage et cetera. The major languages that can be seen and heard are English, Russian, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese and Korean. Ironically, most of the people in New Lesbos could only manage one or two languages, but this problem was solved after these languages were refused official recognition in place for the conlang (see factbook; details may be vague, considering the author of conlang is still alive).

Despite Ithkuil and Lojban being recognised by the nation as its official languages, usage is highly dependent by class. The middle class are the "true" bilingualists, due to them being exposed to both languages and being influenced by the surrounding culture of the speakers. Ithkuil tends to be spoken among the well-educated and upper class, while Lojban can be heard most commonly by the working class.
