Many people in Cill Airne are fluent in Latin and Irish. In some areas of the nation people will study French or English instead of Latin.

Most people speak two languages natively, and another one or two fluently. Then they should all be able to save themselves in another two or three languages. In addition to that, they might be able to understand odds and ends of some more languages, but they might not be able to speak it.

Yes, as there are 4 official languages in the PAAC ( English, Swedish, Japanese, Russian ) and it is advised that students learn as many as possible. The public school system offers nearly nine language courses so bilinguals are extremely common, with nearly half the population able to speak a second language.

it is very common. in fact, in Havenburgh schools it is mandatory to speak 3 languages fluently before you can graduate school. My nation is huge on trade and education, so bilingualism is a must, and multilingualism.

As the People's Republic of Nedvia is 99.54% ethnically Nedvian, there is no need for bilingualism on a national scale. There is an elite foreign language academy that trains diplomats and intelligence agents. The ethnic Verbani minority maintains their national language, but it is limited to their small population and virtually no non-Verbani, other than professional linguists and anthropologists, speak the language. Among the common people, multilingualism would be viewed with suspicion if not outright hostility.

Yes. The main language is Lipnitian (Lipnitski) but it has many dialects, e.g:

Kaskovian dialect
Hulsk dialect
Rogovsk slang
Reveskian language

Other languages are attributed to other natives, for example foreigners or people not of the main Slavic tribe of Lipnitia, for example Muslims, Zamakovians, and Batskalians. Apart from this, bilingualism in Lipnitia is mainly concerning intelligent citizens.

49% of Lipnitians speak more than one language.

Bilingualism is rather common in Valkalan. Students in elementary school are expected to graduate with a solid grasp of Valk and English. Many schools offer even more language options. English is widely used to communicate with foreigners, mostly for business purposes.

Bilingualism is unpopular in Mallaska, a nation which English is spoken by essentially all of the populace. Only in overseas territories, in which native peoples also inhabit, do people tend to be bilingual. Otherwise, we have no use for speaking a second language, and we don't waste our time learning them. Language courses are voluntary, as well as unpopular. Typically only colleges maintain foreign language courses.

Very common. The nation has one Official Language and and four recognised minority languages, two of them autochthone (or whatever it's spelled like). It is demanded to know at least the official language and English, and highly recommended to know one of the minority languages.

In Luepola, college graduates are required to be pentalingual. Most students choose to speak Czech, Portuguese, Serbian, and German, in addition to the omnipresent English. I didn't exactly intend for that, but apparently, supporting the opinion that students shouldn't be monolingual means they need to speak five languages.
