''In most countries, when people see a same-sex couple they assume they're gay and when they see an opposite-sex couple they assume they're straight. In Codifin, when we see a same-sex couple we think that they're acting on their same-sex attraction and when we see an opposite-sex couple we think that they're acting on their opposite-sex attraction. And the reason is that everyone is assumed to be bisexual, until stating otherwise.''

A 159 seat Left Wing Coalition between the Liberal Democrats (68), Socialist Democrats (31), Left Alliance (30), Pirate Party (21) and Green Party (9) seems to be the only real possibility for a government. How the Conservative Party got so many votes so quickly is highly suspicious though. If this was a real election with results being streamed in as they were counted I would suspect there was some vote rigging going on when the Conservative Party had their sudden leap in the polls. Also how do the Pirate Party have less seats than parties they beat in the number of votes? This feels like the 2001 US election were George W Bush ended up winning off a highly controversial decision by the Electoral College and despite openly losing the popular vote.

Between them they would have a majority of 2 seats so they would need another party on board, to provide "cushioning" against defections and rebellious backbenchers. The Alliance for Freedom could fill this role, and thus the coalition would hold 197 seats - a majority of 79. The Green Party could also suffice (they are described as having "mixed centre-right" views on economic issues) and this would give the coalition 167 seats - a majority of 19.

d) left coalition: Liberal-SDP-Left-Green-Pirate (problem with Pirates' minarchist policy)

Conservatives and Liberals got more seats than popular vote because of the d'hondt method which favors bigger parties. Coalition between SDP/Left Alliance and Pirates would be unnatural because SDP and Left favor big government and Pirates are a minarchist party.
OOC: I reduced votes of pirates because it's unrealistic for a single-issue party to be a second largest. Also, I wanted two strong parties, so I gave Conservatives and Liberals a little bit more seats than they had in poll.
