Nation Population: 10,000,000. Annistrail is a recently populated island that is receiving a lot of migration. This means it's as per NS until it hits the 100,000,000 mark. Then, the plan is to stabilize at around 100,000,000 inhabitants. (This is not essential to my nation and can be changed to fit the region)

Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: Annistrail's climate is temperate, with cold winters and hot summers. Annistrail's geography can be seen in our factbook. (This is not essential to my nation and can be changed to fit the region) but can be summarized as: island, 400,000 kilometers square (like germany, for instance), some mountains, some forests. (Important Note: Before applying I checked your map and I'm willing to alter the geography of Annistrail to fit into any space you want to emphasize, this is not essential to my nation)

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: Since Annistrail was founded by immigrants the country is home to a mix of races. It's culture is mainly a mixture of English, American, and Continental Europe. We could summarize it as "Western"

Please give a brief description of your national history: As per my factbook "Annistrail was founded in 2015 as a new settlement in the deserted island of Annistrail. The first form of government was that of a Parliamentary Kingdom, which took care of the first week of government and set the basis for the political organization of the country. A referendum was quickly called in order to check if the citizens wished to maintain that form of government. A Parliamentary Republic was chosen instead."

How would you describe your military’s technology?: The weapons were acquired from Halcyon Arms, so MT but under equipped due to budget constrains.

How many active personnel are in each branch?: Around 1,200 in the Army. Around 600 in logistics, intelligence, and administration.

I use my newspaper (best RP and writing example) as "hub" for all my RPing threads. Each new says from which thread it came. I'm still quite new at this, but I take roleplaying seriously in all national affairs.

I don't ignore the fact that I've still got a lot of room to improve as a roleplayer. So I won't take offense if you need me to RP more before accepting my application. On the other hand, I wouldn't be submitting it if I didn't think myself up to the challenge.

What sort of position do you foresee yourself filling in Atlas?: Annistrail would be a young nation fostering immigration and trying to make its way in the world. I believe it offers great opportunities for diplomatic, military, and economic roleplaying because:

• The parliament is divided and the government could become center-left and change its priorities.
• The country has uranium mines that are terrible for the environment and could cause an accident.
• Those uranium mines could be interesting to other countries that wished to use it for military or peaceful development.
• The presence of two radical parties (one from the far-right and one from the far-left) can engage other countries in espionage, diplomacy and war.
• My main strength as a roleplayer is diplomacy and media, and that could strengthen and enrich the RPing of other nations.
• I would also like roleplaying micro-managed military battles. Here is an image of a not-yet published military exercise by my armed forces that I'm preparing.

Application profile has been updated. Population has been reduced to 170 million and GDP gross to 7 trillion. I hope that's satisfactory. I'm not opposed to lowering it if need be. I'll see if I can dig some more stuff up for you.

The region has been split from two major times over disputes of realism. So the application is intended to help find realistic numbers.

There is a hiearchy of power present, Carloso, Roski, then Stasnov, and its generally free after that.

What is probably the best idea is to find a nation who's economic status is something you'd like (Say, Germany's standard of living, or China's), then apply it to a reasonably sized nation. Look at the map - develop your military based on relations and threats around you. If you need any questions, pretty much anybody in the region can answer them.

Taohua is a temperate nation that lies mostly on lowlands, with a few mountains in its interior. Most Taohuans live in the lowlands along the coasts and rivers, with minorities living in the mountains.

The culture of Taohua is a blend of Chinese, Manchu and Taohuan Aborigine cultures that have over the last few centuries formed their own 'melting pot' in Taohua. As a result, Taohua is much more open to immigration than most Asian nations, as there is no singular culture that dominates the nation. The primary ethnicities are Chinese and Taohuan Aborigine, which together make up about 88% of the population.

October 17, 2013

A piece of sweat fell down the side of my temple, while I waited for clearance to enter the airbase. Conveniently, there had been recent problems with the electrical grid that I had been asked to assess. In reality, these problems were being artificially produced by cyber-attacks in order to get me into the airbase, where I would steal the plans for Taohua's most recent fighter jet developments and leak them to the Pharii government. Finally, a loud buzzer went off, and I jumped. The gate slowly opened, and I drove in with my "Taohua Electricity Co." truck.
Once inside, I drove over to the main terminal where I was supposedly to fix the main terminal - in actuality, I was installing an advanced virus that would heavily disrupt their communications and electronics 25 minutes after my departure, giving me a perfect cover to make a bee-line for the northern border with Pharii. Once I reached the main terminal, I simply parked and got the normal gear I would use for a job such as this, with the virus USB in my pocket.
When I was allowed into the building, they left me to my work, and it took me very little time to install the virus, while pretending to be tinkering around with the wiring and coding. Towards the ending, a particular soldier walked in, whistling an old Taohuan folk song; this signaled he had the plans, and I stood to take them. He handed me another USB, and I quickly pocketed it, going back to finish up on the electric center.
A few minutes later, I was waiting for clearance to leave the airbase once again, this time with a huge amount of stress relieved. There was no suspicion that I was doing anything other than electrician's work. The loud buzzer went off once again, and the gate slowly slid open once again. I drove out without complication, and continued down the long road until I reached the highway, taking the exit towards the Pharii city of Hejian.
An hour later, I was pulling up to the border crossing in a different car; my own, that is, rather than the business one. 35 minutes ago, the disruptions at Qidong Air Base had gone off and been a complete success, giving me enough time to get out of the country. As I pulled up, the border guard asked in a rather monotone voice "Name?"
"Zhi Yuen." I replied, handing him my drivers license.
"Purpose of visiting?" He asked in a voice that made it obvious he could not care less about the true reason.
"Visiting family in Hejian, my sister recently had a baby and-"
"That's great, you're clear to go through. Have a nice trip.' He said, cutting me off. I drove through and knew, at that moment, that everything had been a success.
About 5 minutes later, an urgent notification came through on the screen of the border guard.
Zhi Yuen is not to be let through the border at any cost. Zhi Yuen is suspected of treason and cyberterrorism at the Qidong Airbase. If he is seen trying to cross the border, call for back-up immediately.
After about 20 seconds of reading it, the comprehension of what he'd just done hit him like a brick wall. He just let one of Taohua's most notorious traitors stroll through the border.

Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: The winters in Schwärzenland are cold, though the spring brings warmth and long periods of sunshine. It is uncommon, though not rare, to have rain during the summer months. To the east, the land is flat and vast swaths of the countryside are used for agriculture. In the west, the more hilly, urban areas are dominated by factories.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: The closed society of Schwärzenland ensures that few foreigners manage to live in the nation. As such, the population of Schwärzenland is largely a mix of German and Spanish, and speaks English and German as national languages. Minority races are largely shunned upon by the government, and for the most part, do not get a say in elections.

Please give a brief description of your national history: Schwärzenland was first inhabited by migrant tribes from around the region in 100BC. Numerous civil wars and outside invasion later put the country on the brink of collapse, before finally it was unified by King Rudolph IV in 1722. The country swiftly industrialized in the late 1800's, and expanded its borders rapidly due to the militaristic attitudes of the time. In 1933, the military led a coup which saw the Royal Family toppled and a dictatorial junta established for the next 20 years. Finally the Junta was overthrown in the August Revolution and the establishment of a democratic government in Schwärzenstadt, the old Imperial capitol. In November of 2015, the Faschistischen Partei took power by force in Schwärzenstadt, and established a tyrannical rule across the land. The armed forces and civil services were purged of dissidents and the lands of Schwärzenstadt were partitioned among loyal party members. (the Sonderverwaltungszone (S.V.Z.) and Staatsministerium (S.M.M.)) Supreme Chancellor Oliver Neuhaeusser has been cracking down on the thousands of partisans and rebels in the countryside with violent reprisals, slaughtering entire villages and imprisoning opposition party leaders. Neuhaeusser has also managed to fund Fascist partisans in the neighboring Republic of Terpitzsch and the Free State of Tiesi, effectively bringing them into his sphere of influence.

Though the Fascists have taken power by force, many see it as the only way out of Schwärzenland's crippling debt crisis.

Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: The air can be considered lightly polluted, however the ground itself is only polluted and "ruined" around the cities, roughly 3-6 kilometers out around each city. The heavy countrysides, aside from certain mining areas, are stable and natural.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: With a population over 80%, other races are considered a rarity. However, despite this, the corporations and companies of the region seem to care less, leaving the few other diverse cultures there are to be freely celebrated and enjoyed.

Please give a brief description of your national history: Forming from the ashes of a nation not unlike our United States, the businessmen and CEOs of Alkoria gathered in desperation, as communism was spreading rapidly through foreign influence. Through quick planning and strong actions, the conglomerates managed to consolidate their fallen nation into capitalism, deciding to reform the federal government however they see fit; a right-wing capitalist paradise.
