Nation Population: 47.6 million

Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: The ACS has a temperate climate where the east is typically warmer and drier (as in pleasantly) and the west generally colder and wetter. Most of the country consists of lowlands crossed with valleys and rivers but there are highlands in the northwest. Ideally (as per headcanon) I'd have an east coast that's warm enough to be considered a holiday destination.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: The ACS primarily consists of Anglo Saxons and Celts from an ethnicity perspective, but with various ethnic minorities as a result of immigration et cetera. On the whole, the ACS is culturally liberal and society tends to heavily the emphasise the importance of personal happiness over things such as work etc. There is a strive for equality and such but women stereotypically have dominance.

Please give a brief description of your national history: Once upon a time, long before the days of the ACS, there existed the Empire of Castarcia, a matriarchal power that once had ambitions of being a world power during what'd be considered the renaissance. About 1700, it all fell apart and was subsequently colonised by -insert western power here-. After winning it's independence in the late 19th century, the nation fractured into several small states in which things mainly reverted to a monarchical system as had existed once before. In the 1930s one of these Kingdoms conquered all the others over a lengthy campaign and proclaimed the first Empire.

This Empire (the ACS) remained mostly uncaring with regards to foreign affairs until about the turn of the 21st Century where it has actively gone out looking for friends and such things. After an economic downturn and war within the past decade things have picked up as to how they were but the government looks to be unstable.

Streitkräfte Tennstedten

Bodenmacht- Ground force component of the Streitkräfte. Consists of all airborne combat-capable units (spare a single one in the Marineinfanterie), as well as most armored and air-mobile infantry.
Meereskraft- Tennstedt's blue, green, and brown-water navy. Although not able to stand up to comparative powers of nations like the United States, Tennstedt's navy is designed more around homeland defense than operational support, though this is moving to change. It consists currently of two carriers, a third currently in construction, and numerous high tech cruisers, destroyers, frigates, and otherwise. If there was any single weakpoint within the Streitkräfte, naval combat aviation would be it.
Meeresinfanterie- A smaller segment directly and permanently attached to the Meereskraft, the Meeresinfanterie can be considered a special operations unit. It specializes in spearheading assaults, amphibious warfare, and ship-to-ship combat. At least 50 Meeresinfanterie are attached to every destroyer, and the amount usually increases with a larger or more important class of ship.
Luftwaffe- Tennstedt's force in the air is near unmatched. Being one of the few countries to develop it's own fifth generation fighter, and hosting a variety of strategic lift, surveillance, and otherwise, Tennstedt's air force is undeniably a force to be reckoned with.
Hilfsgruppe- The Auxiliary Group handles the entire Streitkräfte's major logistics, as well as maintaining home-based medical centers and established field hospitals in places like forward operating bases. The Hilfsgruppe is the only group which offers positions as military personnel without going through the grueling labors of basic training. Sommorragh has been formed by successive migrations, first with the arrival of the Veleshethians around 1400 AD who lived in a medieval state until around 1700 AD with the first migration of Reshmen and the introduction of firearms. Initially, the Reshmen were contained to the costs and allowed to maintain their republican traditions, but with the arrival of more Reshmen migrations, many were forced into abject slavery and the majority escaped into the Nation's interior with a great trek. Veleshethian noble families formed into giant guilds, forming a merchant elective monarchy until it was overthrown by Veleshethian Kabalists who hearkened back to the days of Kabals - free organizations of people who were empowered politically and often bound by familial ties. They were in turn financed by and influenced by Reshmen ideas of self-determination, self-ownership, property and republicanism. There are few loyalist sympathies left because under the guilds excessive trade protectionism in the form of tariffs drove away foreign investment and cheap goods, leading to economic downturn.

A National Tragedy

On behalf of all of the Seven Great Kabals, it is with a heavy heart that I must announce the recent passing away of a great man – Vincent Sigismund. A great man and visionary politician, Mr. Sigismund was found dead in his dead after suffering a fatal stabbing wound. We all mourn his passing for although his views were unorthodox, he represented a segment of the population that has seldom been heard except at junctures of our history – those moments that irreparably define us in who we are, what we do, and how we think.

Some riot in the streets. We would ask them to not sully the memory of the man who has not died but as few days ago. Understandably, a vocal minority sees this as an attack on the very foundation of our Republic – a royalist scourge that seeks to reinstate the ‘Great’ Houses of old. To wit, it is in the interest of this Republic to investigate these claims. Elections have been postponed by the senate for two months, and the head of VSP (Veleshethian Sommorraghai Party) has been put under house arrest for the duration of that period. When those responsible will be found, they will be hung high.

We wish to honor this man, for his service to his people. We will do more than build a statue or some monument. It is the unanimous decision of the Senate to grant reparations to those families and individuals who have suffered under the rule of some who abused them and violated their dignity as Human beings. It is also the decision of the Senate to increase government spending on infrastructure, especially in regards to:
• Health and Safety, especially in regards to pneumonia, lung cancer, working conditions, and the right to not be overworked beyond reasonable physical limits.
• Public transportation: as part of our new ‘Great Project’ the state will build a tram system in all cities with a population exceeding 200,000 and reinvigorate bus lines in settlements with greater than 10,000 residents.
• Roads: the N4 central plateau highway will be repaved, enabling the flow of goods and services (especially those from small businesses) to once again go to where they are desired. Along this renewed highway, Czerka Gas & Oil Corp. as well as four other competing gas companies will set up gas stops, and with them new avenues for employment.
• Education will receive a 25% increase in spending, especially in regards to primary and secondary school education. A new standardized test will be implemented, allowing for greater access of lower income students to job opportunities, especially in the financial and manufacturing sectors in the form of lower and middle management.
• The Reshmen Ranger Corp will cooperate with the National Guard to secure the streets of our nations in those areas that have been labelled by some as “no-go-zones”. The Sommorraghai people will regain control of their streets from the crime syndicate that have so unjustly occupied them.
• Food: the Senate will subsidize food for the next year at a universal rate 15% for all consumable goods deemed good for the general populace.

As a nation, as a single unified people, we will move forwards pass this dark age. Go forth, my friends. Fear not the darkness and look to the light.

I can’t protect you. Not after what you did. YOU KILLED HIM, YOU CHILD! YOU JUVENILE FUCK! I instruct you, as your father would have, to blackmail the Silicon Rat. Instead, you kill the single most galvanizing figure in Sommorraghai politics. Why?! Because he offended you!”

The figure pauses, then grabs a painting of many glorious colors created by fantastically talented artist, and smashes it against the wall, splinters of wood shooting everywhere. The young man does not speak, his mouth bound in a muzzle of fear. What has he done? They would find him guilty. The Senate knows he did it – he told them as much, boasting that he would skin the Reshman alive. Omega would hang him high, just like he promised. Maybe, they’d do it in less than two months. Riots had already erupted and as security forces were deployed his district was left suspiciously unguarded. The hangman would come.

The USFR hits upon 3 different climate zones upon considering the massive scale of the country. However with the severe draw backs to having a large country as this most regions within the USFR (60%) fall within a tundra climate and has the in ability to use most of this area so thus it remains barren. The Geography of these regions in the USFR are mostly mid altitude mountains and valleys along the northern coastal sea.

The tundra climate is found along arctic coastal areas. Polar and arctic air masses dominate the tundra climate. The winter season is long and severe. A short, mild season exists, but not a true summer season. Moderating ocean winds keep the temperatures from being as severe as interior regions.
◦Temperature Range: -22 °C to 6 °C (-10 °F to 41 °F).
◦Average Annual Precipitation: 20 cm (8 in).
◦Latitude Range: 60° - 75° N.

The 2nd larges Climate region in the USFR is a Continental Climate, an inland climate that takes up roughly 30% of the remaining land mass of the USFR. Most of this is covered by Boreal forests. With the very cold northern air making these regions more arid than most. The Geography in this region is more hills than mountains and plains than valleys covered with Coniferous trees.

This is a continental climate with long, very cold winters, and short, cool summers. This climate is found in the polar air mass region. Very cold air masses from the arctic often move in. The temperature range is larger than any other climate. Precipitation increases during summer months, although annual precipitation is still small. Much of the boreal forest climate is considered humid.
◦Temperature Range: 41 °C (74 °F), lows; -25 °C (-14 °F), highs; 16 °C (60 °F).
◦Average Annual Precipitation: 31 cm (12 in).

Finally the last Region is the Grasslands Biome Region covering the remaining 10% which is slowly being eaten up by cities occupying these same regions. The geography for this climate is covered with flat grassy areas broken up by rolling hills and coniferous forests.

Ocean air masses are blocked by mountain ranges to the west and south. This allows polar air masses to dominate in winter months. In the summer, a local continental air mass is dominant. A small amount of rain falls during this season.

The Empire of Cinoth is a Csb climate with a moderate amount of rainfall throughout the year. The temperature ranges from a low at -12 °C or 10.4 °F to a high at 30 °C or 86 °F. Winds from the south west carried off of the ocean and onto the southern half of Cinoth account for most of the precipitation. The north western is the driest, with rocky mountains jutting upwards and blocking off moisture from reaching the land. Snowfall often ranges around 9 inches or 22.86 centimeters and precipitation ranges around 23 inches or 58.42 centimeters yearly.

Cinothians range from fair to light caramel colored skin (depending on the region). They are around average height but of a slender build, often seen as wiry but agile. More often than not Cinothians wear their hair long, either weaving it into complicated braids or plainly depending upon social status. Their hair colors are commonly black or brown.

Cinothian culture centers around the community with people using their homes mainly just for shelter, sleep, and private entertainment. Cinothian cities have large hubs where many activities are available for the citizens to partake in. Cinothians also eat almost completely in public, keeping only small stores of food nonperishable food for emergencies within their house.

Cinothians are known for their opulence and indulgence in the pleasures of life. They commonly place a great emphasis on the power and wealth one has acquired above the mans upon which it has been produced which stems from it's formerly cutthroat lifestyle int he middle ages.

The land area of the Rodina is 232,900 km². The climate is relatively dry, storms are very uncommon, but light rain showers occur often, which accounts for most of the nations water as large rain storms are almost unheard of. The Rodina has often been called "inhospitable" and its countryside is not subject to being considered beautiful. The center of the Rodina features a large mountain range, surrounding the city of Getov, which features the tallest mountain in the Rodina, Mount Mytikus.

In the South the land is mostly rocky grassland, hills roll across the landscapes and low trees are often found, but rarely in large forests. The North is much more hospitable, it is considerably more forested and the grass is much thicker. It is also flatter than the South on average, but not by much. The majority of the population live in the North.
