The region of Songha was largely divided into warring states and dynasties from 200 BC until the 15th Century. In the 15th Century, the Seung Dynasty rose and rapidly conquered much of Songha, and by the late 16th Century, had fully unified Songha. A new religion, fittingly named Seungism, proclaimed the founder of the Seung Dynasty, Padmera Seung, as a goddess, and the "High Elder", along with the gods of old Songhese folk religion. The religion quickly rose and swept much of Songha. In the 17th Century, the "Sister's War" swept Songha, with two separate members of the royal family claiming that they had been designated the new heir. The war lasted 3 years and resulted in a brief rift in Songha that resulted in two branches of Seungism: Theistic and Non-Theistic. To this day, Theistic Seungism makes up 74% of the population while Non-Theistic Seungism makes up 17%. In the 18th Century, Songha and Cinoth entered into a personal union, lasting through 2 monarchs and into the mid 19th Century before a peaceful split that has resulted in close family ties and an alliance to this day.

Karakhaznia, climatically and geographically, is a hugely diverse nation. The North of the country is dominated by cold forests, which receive substantial snow coverage every winter. Alongside these forests is the Ostrevem Range, a mountain range witch stretches from the border with Cydonia all the way to the nation's north-eastern frontier. The central part of Karakhaznia, including the eastern coastal region, is largely overrun by fair and temperate valleys and grasslands, and is where the great majority of Karakhaznian people live. In the southernmost portion of the nation lies a blazingly hot desert which is almost completely devoid of any civilisation, aside from the occasional small town.

The largest ethnic group in the country is Karakhaznians, which essentially are a mix between Slavs/Vaznikians and East Asians/Auchoians. Some Karakhaznians may look entirely Slavic or entirely East Asian, but they both fall within the same ethnic group. Karakhaznians have their own language which falls under the Slavic family of languages. The largest minority within Karakhaznia is Muslims, which make up 29% of the national population. Muslims in Karakhaznia have had immense effects on the outlook of Karakhaznian architecture and religion, mainly in the south-central parts of the nation. Religion is largely divided between Karakhaznian Orthodox and Islam, with a small minority of Pagans in the mix. Karakhaznian culture is often described as an awe-inspiring mix between strict tradition and the luxuries of advanced technology.

My early history depends entirely on who's willing to be involved. I would need at least one nation in Vaznik, one nation in east Auchoi, and another in southern Auchoi or around that area to have invaded, controlled, or immigrated people to my land in order to explain the formation of a seperate cultural and ethnic identity.

Karakhaznia would have been a confederacy much like the HRE until absolutist/imperialist ideals took a firm hold on national politics in the 1700s. It would remain in this state until a catastrophic civil war in 1916, which saw Karakhaznia reform into a parliamentary democracy. This par-dem would be dominated by communism from 1945-1972, until the government would be ousted by TradCons (Traditional Conservatives) who would form the Karakhaznian Federation, which is the modern form of the nation. TradCons have been in power since their reform, but all through not!Putin manipulation tactics disguised as a fair vote/chance.

Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: Dahomey is a very hot and humid country, with a tropical, hot and humid climate in the south and a semi-Arid temperature in the North, which is affected by hot, dry, dusty harmattan winds. Mont Kérékou, at 658 meters, is the nation's highest point. The country can be divided into three main areas from the south to the north. The low-lying, sandy, coastal plain is marshy and dotted with lakes and lagoons connected to the ocean. There are many plateaus in Southern Dahomey, with an altitude ranging between 20 and 200m which are split by valleys running north to south along the Aipké, Abomey and Soglo rivers. Finally, rocky hills and mountains dot the northern and semi-arid areas of the nation, accompanied by flat and dry grasslands home to various wildlife.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: Dahomey's ethnic groups are, quite closely related. At 40%, Dahomey people make up the majority of the population and are mixed in a 1:1 ratio between Sunni Muslims and Catholics, with a minority of those practising African traditional religions in secret, which is outlawed in Dahomey. The Dahomey were traditionally the ruling class of the nation, especially during the era of the Kingdom of Dahomey. After the Marxist-Leninist coup however, this changed drastically with the Afenmai President Ahmed Kérékou taking power as the new President. Kérékou made all ethnicities united and equal under his rule. The Afenmai make up 20% of Dahomey's population, and are a group closely related to Arabs. The Afenmai are believed to be Arabs mixed with Black Africans, and therefore share a much lighter skin tone to the rest of Dahomey's population. The minorities are the Zuwa, Pula and Adja. The Zuwa, comprising of 10% of the population are mostly Sunni Islamic. They are a mix of the Afenmai and Dahomey, and are Dahomey peoples who converted to Islam and were born as a result of many inter-marriages between Afenmai and Dahomeyans. The Pula however, are a separate group of mostly Catholic peoples who are related to the peoples of Kuganda, not far away from Dahomey.

The rest of Dahomey would be many Kingdoms practising African traditional religions with the exceptions of Emirates and Sultanates which occupied the north and were mostly Islamic. In the 1700s, the Kingdom of Dahomey was the strongest Kingdom and invaded the others to dominate the region and benefit from the resources of the region. Later in the late 1800s, the Colonizers came, stole all the resources, and murdered and enslaved alot of dudes.

Then in 1954, we were given independence and coup'd by angry socialists who wanted to dispose of the bourgeoise Kingdom of Dahomeyans and things have remained in chaos and poverty ever since.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: Dahomey's ethnic groups are, quite closely related. At 40%, Dahomey people make up the majority of the population and are mixed in a 1:1 ratio between Sunni Muslims and Catholics, with a minority of those practising African traditional religions in secret, which is outlawed in Dahomey. The Dahomey were traditionally the ruling class of the nation, especially during the era of the Kingdom of Dahomey. After the Marxist-Leninist coup however, this changed drastically with the Afenmai President Ahmed Kérékou taking power as the new President. Kérékou made all ethnicities united and equal under his rule. The Afenmai make up 20% of Dahomey's population, and are a group closely related to Arabs. The Afenmai are believed to be Arabs mixed with Black Africans, and therefore share a much lighter skin tone to the rest of Dahomey's population. The minorities are the Zuwa, Pula and Adja. The Zuwa, comprising of 10% of the population are mostly Sunni Islamic. They are a mix of the Afenmai and Dahomey, and are Dahomey peoples who converted to Islam and were born as a result of many inter-marriages between Afenmai and Dahomeyans. The Pula however, are a separate group of mostly Catholic peoples who are related to the peoples of Kuganda, not far away from Dahomey.

Please give a brief description of your national history: Dahomey was previously named the Kingdom of Dahomey, only occupying the coastline of today's Dahomey. The rest of Dahomey would be many Kingdoms practising African traditional religions with the exceptions of Emirates and Sultanates which occupied the north and were mostly Islamic. In the 1700s, the Kingdom of Dahomey was the strongest Kingdom and invaded the others to dominate the region and benefit from the resources of the region. Later in the late 1800s, the Colonizers came, stole all the resources, and murdered and enslaved alot of dudes.

Then in 1954, we were given independence and coup'd by angry socialists who wanted to dispose of the bourgeoise Kingdom of Dahomeyans and things have remained in chaos and poverty ever since.

Please give a brief description of your national history: From the neolithic to the middle ages, Mbuti was inhabited by the Twa, a group of Pygmy forest hunters, and gatherers. By the 15th century, many of the Bantu-speakers, both Hutu and Tutsi, had organized themselves into small states. These included at least three. The most powerful being the Gisaka state, which maintained its independence until the late 18th century, when the states formed a united banner, creating The Kingdom of Mbuti. During the late Cold War, unstabilisation struck the country and tensions rose between the Hutu and Tutsi. And during the early 90s several Hutu Power movements where formed in an attempt to exterminate the Tutsis. Some months later, a Hutu Power party entered the parliament, and during the ethnic cleansing of the Tutsis. That party, called The Patriotic Hutu Front (PHF), was elected to become the ruling party of Mbuti and they still rule in the country. The ethnic cleansing finally came to a stop in 1998, but many Tutsis had been killed.

Muguli, Mbuti Earlier today, Marshall Ubaba announced at a press meeting that something is going to be done to decrease the current influence of warlords in Mbuti. The warlord currently posing the largest threat towards the country is only a few miles away from the capital, Muguli. He recently established a fighting force ready to challenge the might of the Mbutin Army. Satellite imagery suggests that he is based somewhere in the Karongo region, and he may already be able to strike. The government urges everyone inhabiting the outskirts of Muguli to avoid going outside for the following days as the government currently is preparing the outskirts for a possible attack from the warlord and the government doesn't wan't to reveal what kind of units they will be stationing. According to eyewitnesses, tanks have been seen, possibly of the T-55 type. The government won't claim responsibility for any kind of ear injuries the following days.

It is believed that the forces loyal to the warlord are a mix between mercenaries and anti-government militias. There are speculations circulating the ethnic makeup of these forces. Government officials states that the militias are made up of Tutsi cockroaches seeking revenge. And the name of the warlord in charge is still unknown, and the only thing the Government calls the warlord is 'a traitor and an enemy of the state'. His identity is yet to be uncovered. Also, remember to stay inside during the following days.

Outskirts of Muguli, 1500 Hours


The screech which the rocket generated when it left the barrel was deafening, yet it was quickly followed by several more as Major Gahiji fired the Type 63 Multiple Rocket Launch System towards the advancing forces of 'the traitor and enemy of the state'. His unit was not the only one firing at the hostile forces. They were accompanioned by several other units. Among those where the armored forces of Colonel Dukuzumuremyi, the highest climbing Colonel within the Army. Gahiji was tremendously envious over him, but he also respected the man for his experience in combat. He had a good point of view from his post on the hill. He could see the militiamen swarming the rain forest, gun shots echoing over the valley but these were only sporadic and fired from the rifles of the militiamen, the Mbutin relied on their armor, although the infantry was nearby, ready to engage hostile coming to close.

A flash of light was sent across the field and it seemed to miss one of the Mbutin tanks only by a meter. The flash bore down itself in the ground. Now the only fear the Army had was confirmed. The warlord had gotten his hands on AT rockets. Gahiji could not ensure that the flash that missed was fired from an RPG-7, but he had his theories. Lots of corpses lay on the ground, lifeless. Some of them missed heads. Gahiji had been teached, even as a kid, that the Tutsis where enemies of the state. He had no doubts that some of the militiamen where of Tutsi origin. The DShK heavy machine-guns on the T-55s started blazing, everyone nearly at the same time. Even though Gahiji had an amazing point of view he couldn't tell what was happening now. Another flash of light flew across the field and hit one of the T-55s and sent the machine gunner on the turret to the air, in pieces and the turret launched into the air, followed by a thunder bigger than what any storm could bring.

Another flash flew across the field, but it hit a lonesome house in the background. The gunfire decreased over time and every Mbutin soldier started cheering. Gahiji could not tell what was going on, but then he realised, they had won...

Roughly 675 square kilometers of rough arid terrain. Almost Mediterranean like climate witch switches to desert like desert like conditions along the southern and eastern border, Simillar enough to Grozny region or Kazakhstan if they had more access to warm salt water like Greece or Turkey. relatively short country with most hills only being 500 meters above sea level residing along the northern border. The south west and western borders are flanked by the sea and only a few small islands.

With 3 distinct ethnic groups dividing up Karzeghistan's population a democratic based culture emerged early and dominated any other that were imposed on it. Ethnic Karzeghistians lived along the foot hills near the north edge of the country creating farms and pastures on the fertile in the early days of the countries foundation. Speaking Karzeghic They traded their goods with their neighbours witch allowed them to fortify their holdings in the central areas of the current country. Chernarussian culture was added when Pilgrims from another country (country yet to be specified) melded with the Ethnic Karzeghistans. Their language was changed creating a Chernarussian dialect heard today spoken by sailors and traders. Those that are ethnicly Chernarussian live close to the sea and on the small islands within the countries territorial waters. Finally the desert people from the south east : the Ardi people. The ardi thrive in the desert and arid field that occupy the countries southern regions. When they made contact with the Karzeghistian people they traded spices, tea leaves and dates with improved relations. This bond through trade relationship made the foundation of the countries trade culture today.

Karzeghistan is a nation that has its foreign policy to remain neutral whenever possible and always protect its friends. To support this a universal conscription is in place to protect is neutrality. Students in high school can also pick courses in military train however all citizen are taught how to fight as an infantry soldier. After high school they are allowed to carry on with their lives however if war was declared they are organized to defend the country in Militias. With internal strife kept to a minimum though a friendly co-existence with its neighbours. This left world spanning conflicts outside its small country to react with (Which I guess I need to read up on that, I assume world wars and such happened?).

Being a nation born from the remnants of its predecessor, the Socialist Republic of Novibirsk (SRN), the environment is not something people cherish and is not something people go to see. The weather is almost constantly cold and it is common to go below freezing. Novibirsk is, although very cold, also very lush with forests, about 47% of the nation being filled with trees, those mostly being pines, firs, and evergreens. The rest of the nation is very hilly.

Novibirsk's history is filled with being invaded by foreign nations, thus a generational dislike for tourists has risen. Of course, when tourists do find a way into the country, Novibirsk is rich with unique culture. Orthodox Christianity has bred many fine architects, who have created beautiful buildings of regal stature. The former communist dictatorship also has left remnants of their culture in Novibirsk, these being statues, monuments, and the dry carcasses of military vehicles.

Its first, however, was a republic run by businesses, officially named the Republic of Novibirsk. Its government functioned much like the Republic of Florence did. The upper house of the republic was the Kabinet Gil'diy (Cabinet of Guilds), which comprised of 12 corporations, all with different functions. These ranged from bankers to bakers and carpenters to weaponsmiths. The lower house was a united assembly of the people, who were elected by their peers to represent their municipality. This republic lasted 112 years before it was toppled by a military dictatorship, which, although disbanding the United Assembly of the People, kept the Cabinet of Guilds. This dictatorship was founded by Grigoriy Rachmiknyoff. The dictatorship lasted 252 years, with all of its despots being Rachmiknyoffs', who were also the Grand Generals' of the Army.

The dictatorship finally fell when the last Rachmiknyoff, Igor Rachmikynoff, killed his mother, father (who at the time was Despot), two brothers, sister, and grandfather, thus making him the only surviving Rachmiknyoff. He held discontent with the despotist nation, and when he crowned himself despot, replaced it with the Socialist Republic of Novibirsk. This republic was run by Igor, who's title was Chief General Secretariat, as the legislative house was the General Assembly, literally an assembly of generals. During Igor's rule, he focused a great amount of money on propaganda, and after 30 years of his rule, he had effectively put the people of Novibirsk in a trance-like patriotism, one so effective that there was very little resistance. Except from the Generals of the Assembly. Igor was murdered by the General of the Army, Vsevolod Danilovich. This triggered a civil war that would rage for forty years. This civil war was a civil war based upon who would claim the title Chief General Secretariat. Igor had a son, Stanislav Rachmikynoff, who claimed the descendant of the Chief General Secretariat deserved the title. Vsevolod claimed that the Grand General of the Army deserved it. The General Assembly was split between two claims and the title was never truly claimed by either. This happening, the military also split. The civil war began with the Skirmish of Petravik, a battle between the 7th Regiment and the 32nd Regiment. The 7th Regiment was under the 1st Army, which was controlled by Vsevolod. The 7th Regiment was there to arrest members of the 32nd Regiment and it ended in a stalemate due to huge casualties on both sides. The civil was officially on and Vsevolod founded the United General Republic of Novibirsk (UGRN). Stanislav retained the Socialist Republic of Novibirsk (SRN). The civil war was, of course, the bloodiest and longest war Novibirsk had experienced. The civil war had a crippling effect on the economy and the people. The people, all of whom were for the state, had to choose to be part of which state, and were thus having their own civil war as the military had its own.

The civil war ended on November 1. The casualties were an estimated 41 million civilians and 12 million soldiers. Unfortunately, neither side won, as the end of the civil war was an agreement for the two nations to split into separate nations. Neither lasted a year of peace. Stanislav was assassinated by a UGRN soldier, thus triggering another war. Neither nation had time to build back its economy (as both had almost no money after the civil war). This war destroyed both nations, with both of their armies, both of which were under 60,000 soldiers, being destroyed.

Risen from their ashes was the Federation of Novibirsk. The federation was founded in the capital, Novibirska. The President, Radomir Rutski, called himself the "Last Hope of Novibirsk". The people of Novibirsk were in a state of, quite literally, nationwide PTSD and depression, as the civil war and the second civil war crippled their brainwash-triggered patriotism. Rutski somehow healed the nation of its mental wound with his soft but firm voice and his promises of a reformed and much nicer government. His presidency, which lasted 12 years, led to a somewhat rise in the economy and the steady of the people. Rutski's leadership unified the people once more. Not in a brainwashed manner, but a manner in which the people found a need to unify to survive. Rutski was succeeded by two more presidents, and now the Federation is ruled by its 4th President, Sergei Putinov.

At a cursory glance, those numbers seem a bit high: my population is six times higher than yours, and yet our militaries are (nominally) the same size.

A Mbutin warlord has collected a large army of anti-government militants and mercenaries, and they are a few miles from Muguli, write an RP post of an army division engaging them on the outskirts of the city, preferably two paragraphs or more worth.

Muguli, Mbuti Earlier today, Marshall Ubaba announced at a press meeting that something is going to be done to decrease the current influence of warlords in Mbuti. The warlord currently posing the largest threat towards the country is only a few miles away from the capital, Muguli. He recently established a fighting force ready to challenge the might of the Mbutin Army. Satellite imagery suggests that he is based somewhere in the Karongo region, and he may already be able to strike. The government urges everyone inhabiting the outskirts of Muguli to avoid going outside for the following days as the government currently is preparing the outskirts for a possible attack from the warlord and the government doesn't wan't to reveal what kind of units they will be stationing. According to eyewitnesses, tanks have been seen, possibly of the T-55 type. The government won't claim responsibility for any kind of ear injuries the following days.

It is believed that the forces loyal to the warlord are a mix between mercenaries and anti-government militias. There are speculations circulating the ethnic makeup of these forces. Government officials states that the militias are made up of Tutsi cockroaches seeking revenge. And the name of the warlord in charge is still unknown, and the only thing the Government calls the warlord is 'a traitor and an enemy of the state'. His identity is yet to be uncovered. Also, remember to stay inside during the following days.

Outskirts of Muguli, 1500 Hours


The screech which the rocket generated when it left the barrel was deafening, yet it was quickly followed by several more as Major Gahiji fired the Type 63 Multiple Rocket Launch System towards the advancing forces of 'the traitor and enemy of the state'. His unit was not the only one firing at the hostile forces. They were accompanioned by several other units. Among those where the armored forces of Colonel Dukuzumuremyi, the highest climbing Colonel within the Army. Gahiji was tremendously envious over him, but he also respected the man for his experience in combat. He had a good point of view from his post on the hill. He could see the militiamen swarming the rain forest, gun shots echoing over the valley but these were only sporadic and fired from the rifles of the militiamen, the Mbutin relied on their armor, although the infantry was nearby, ready to engage hostile coming to close.

A flash of light was sent across the field and it seemed to miss one of the Mbutin tanks only by a meter. The flash bore down itself in the ground. Now the only fear the Army had was confirmed. The warlord had gotten his hands on AT rockets. Gahiji could not ensure that the flash that missed was fired from an RPG-7, but he had his theories. Lots of corpses lay on the ground, lifeless. Some of them missed heads. Gahiji had been teached, even as a kid, that the Tutsis where enemies of the state. He had no doubts that some of the militiamen where of Tutsi origin. Formal Nation Name: Federation of Novibirsk

Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: Novibirsk is a cold and bitter place to be. Being a nation born from the remnants of its predecessor, the Socialist Republic of Novibirsk (SRN), the environment is not something people cherish and is not something people go to see. The weather is almost constantly cold and it is common to go below freezing. Novibirsk is, although very cold, also very lush with forests, about 47% of the nation being filled with trees, those mostly being pines, firs, and evergreens. The rest of the nation is very hilly.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: The people of Novibirsk are known to be quite hostile towards foreigners. Novibirsk's history is filled with being invaded by foreign nations, thus a generational dislike for tourists has risen. Of course, when tourists do find a way into the country, Novibirsk is rich with unique culture. Orthodox Christianity has bred many fine architects, who have created beautiful buildings of regal stature. The former communist dictatorship also has left remnants of their culture in Novibirsk, these being statues, monuments, and the dry carcasses of military vehicles.

Please give a brief description of your national history: Novibirsk has been a multitude of identities. Its first, however, was a republic run by businesses, officially named the Republic of Novibirsk. Its government functioned much like the Republic of Florence did. The upper house of the republic was the Kabinet Gil'diy (Cabinet of Guilds), which comprised of 12 corporations, all with different functions. These ranged from bankers to bakers and carpenters to weaponsmiths. The lower house was a united assembly of the people, who were elected by their peers to represent their municipality. This republic lasted 112 years before it was toppled by a military dictatorship, which, although disbanding the United Assembly of the People, kept the Cabinet of Guilds. This dictatorship was founded by Grigoriy Rachmiknyoff. The dictatorship lasted 252 years, with all of its despots being Rachmiknyoffs', who were also the Grand Generals' of the Army.

The dictatorship finally fell when the last Rachmiknyoff, Igor Rachmikynoff, killed his mother, father (who at the time was Despot), two brothers, sister, and grandfather, thus making him the only surviving Rachmiknyoff. He held discontent with the despotist nation, and when he crowned himself despot, replaced it with the Socialist Republic of Novibirsk. This republic was run by Igor, who's title was Chief General Secretariat, as the legislative house was the General Assembly, literally an assembly of generals. During Igor's rule, he focused a great amount of money on propaganda, and after 30 years of his rule, he had effectively put the people of Novibirsk in a trance-like patriotism, one so effective that there was very little resistance. Except from the Generals of the Assembly. Igor was murdered by the General of the Army, Vsevolod Danilovich. This triggered a civil war that would rage for forty years. This civil war was a civil war based upon who would claim the title Chief General Secretariat. Igor had a son, Stanislav Rachmikynoff, who claimed the descendant of the Chief General Secretariat deserved the title. Vsevolod claimed that the Grand General of the Army deserved it. The General Assembly was split between two claims and the title was never truly claimed by either. This happening, the military also split. The civil war began with the Skirmish of Petravik, a battle between the 7th Regiment and the 32nd Regiment. The 7th Regiment was under the 1st Army, which was controlled by Vsevolod. The 7th Regiment was there to arrest members of the 32nd Regiment and it ended in a stalemate due to huge casualties on both sides. The civil was officially on and Vsevolod founded the United General Republic of Novibirsk (UGRN). Stanislav retained the Socialist Republic of Novibirsk (SRN). The civil war was, of course, the bloodiest and longest war Novibirsk had experienced. The civil war had a crippling effect on the economy and the people. The people, all of whom were for the state, had to choose to be part of which state, and were thus having their own civil war as the military had its own.

The civil war ended on November 1. The casualties were an estimated 41 million civilians and 12 million soldiers. Unfortunately, neither side won, as the end of the civil war was an agreement for the two nations to split into separate nations. Neither lasted a year of peace. Stanislav was assassinated by a UGRN soldier, thus triggering another war. Neither nation had time to build back its economy (as both had almost no money after the civil war). This war destroyed both nations, with both of their armies, both of which were under 60,000 soldiers, being destroyed.

Risen from their ashes was the Federation of Novibirsk. The federation was founded in the capital, Novibirska. The President, Radomir Rutski, called himself the "Last Hope of Novibirsk". The people of Novibirsk were in a state of, quite literally, nationwide PTSD and depression, as the civil war and the second civil war crippled their brainwash-triggered patriotism. Rutski somehow healed the nation of its mental wound with his soft but firm voice and his promises of a reformed and much nicer government. His presidency, which lasted 12 years, led to a somewhat rise in the economy and the steady of the people. Rutski's leadership unified the people once more. Not in a brainwashed manner, but a manner in which the people found a need to unify to survive. Rutski was succeeded by two more presidents, and now the Federation is ruled by its 4th President, Sergei Putinov.

Is this a main, alt or puppet account?: Puppet. My main account is just used for population and military percentages for an off-site forum which I am moderator on. I have been looking for a region to be a part of on NationStates, as my forum account is very repetitive.

I was this for about a month until one of the roleplay moderators was too inactive to be a moderator and was stripped of his position. I was promoted to roleplay moderator. I still am one. The Military Numbers, like Valdiu said, are too high, My country has 15x the population of you, yet your active forces are actually higher than my active forces
If you cut back on the military, your RPs are okay albeit somewhat limited
