Until the 17th century, the land that currently comprises the Federation consisted of varying tribes and small city-states. The arrival of foreign colonizers in 1600s changed everything, and as lands where quickly colonized and claimed by the foreigners advanced technology the remaining states formed a desperate alliance to fend off invasion. That pact, which was signed in area of the country known as the Uossi rainforests, was the precursor to the modern day Federation. The united natives were able to repulse the invaders and over the next several years retook the lost lands, gaining support and momentum as more people joined the alliance. In 1721, that alliance evolved into the Uossi Federation.

What sort of position do you foresee yourself filling in Atlas?: Admittedly, I'm still reading on the current goings on in Atlas. Typically, I see myself as a geopolitical peacemaker. I love trying to sort of economic deals and doing diplomacy stuffs, then organizing/participating in more complex character/event RPs. I see my country as a fast growing, fairly stable nation that hopefully will have a lot to offer aside from the typical (sends military to fight in X war, sends King to X conference, fights in X war, sends to X conference, war, conference, war, etc). Obviously the wars and conferences will come, which is fun, but I like thinking of new fun twists too. (Forgive me if I'm just rambling) I want to help Atlas grow!

"NEGUSA! NEGUSA! THEY ARE COMING! THE GUARDS ARE DEAD OR GONE! THEY ARE COMING!"

Negus Tafari IV, Father of the Federation and Lord over all Uossi, awoke with a start, jumping bolt upright in his bead. He shivered, realizing that he was covered in cold sweat. He exhaled softly, allowing himself to fall backwards into his damp, yet still comfortable, bed.

It was just a dream.

He stared at the ceiling, tracing the ornate tiling and designs in his mind.

It had all seemed so real.

It had been two weeks since the arrest of Olseugn Makembe, one week since the bombing at Uossi National Oil's offices, and two days since the brutal clash in the capital city between protestors and the Capital Guard had left sixteen dead. The protestors - Freetown News had estimated there were at least one hundred - had besiged the Liberation Palace, ironically turning the entire Royal family into their prisioners. They had refused to leave until the Negus arrested the entire executive staff of National Oil, and agreed to seize their private funds for reimbursement to the Rnani tribe. The only one who could overrule the Tikata was the Negus, but doing so meant angering the Wakausa, Biuba, and Igo peoples, whose ethnic groups dominated the Tikata. The protest had begun peacefully enough, but after the Tikata approved a pardon for several of the board members, well, things came to ahead and the protestors attempted to force their way in to the Palace to present their demands directly to Tafari.

Tafari let out a groan. He hated being in this position, and he knew the nightmares from that night would haunt him for years to come. The protestors had been forced back with some difficulty, and there was one moment when his sister, shocked by the violence, had gone hysterical.

The capital was quiet now, but security had been increased regardless. Kevin was a city in mourning.

"I have no choice. The law must be upheld, regardless of what the Tikata may think," he muttered out loud to no one in particular. His room was silent except for the occasional rustle from the guards outside his door.

"NIA!" He yelled, still staring at the ceiling as he activated the automated assistant on his personal phone. "Send message to Koboi, you have my permission to arrest the rest of the National Oil board and detain them until a trial can be organized. No one who had any connection to the oil spill may leave Uossi. We are in a state of emergency effective immediately."

I suppose I should get up, he thought as he rolled out of bed and flicked on his night stand light.

Arresting the rest of the National Oil board was just the beginning. National Oil was a state run company, and the spill - from a derrick that was supposed to have been decommissioned in 2006 nonetheless - had resulted in the complete ecological devestation of the Rnani lowlands. So far the media had exposed forged maintenance documents, bribes, and even allegations of kidnapping relating to several different drills under National Oil's supervision. He had a feeling the corruption ran into the Ministry of the Interior - Why didn't any inspectors notice the reports of irregularities? - but that would have to be addressed in due time.

Now he needed to restore order. He picked up his bedside phone this time, dialing one number.

"Hello, is this General Lumumba?"

"Negusa, this General Lumumba. My men are still holding awaiting orders."

"Good, its time for this to end. I'm declaring a state of emergency. Send your forces into Lubumbashi, Katakokombe, Katanga, Onalua, Congo, and Belge. Martial law is in effect until this situation is under control, and I want you to come with me personally to meet with the Council of Elders in five hours."

Tafari stretched out his back and yawned, this would be a long day.

The scene was one of pure chaos. The Katakombe offices were the center of National Oil in the Rnani territories. Several large drills were located nearby, but the compound largely served an administrative and tech purpose. Now forgotten fires burned throughout the complex as workers fled the onslaught of rocks and insults from angry Rnani protestors. The protesters had overrun the guards hours ago and now rampaged through the campaign torching offices and occasionally even throwing homemade petrol bombs.

"NO MORE CORRUPTION! OPIN JIJI! NO MORE CORRUPTION! OPIN JIJI!" yelled the protestors as they made their way through the compound.

Suddenly, the loud whoop whoop whoop of approaching helicopters was heard, distant at first but soon loud enough to drown out the protesters. Two Mi-8 transport helicopters swooped into view, dropping leaflets ordering the protestors to disperse.

"FEDERATION ARMY, RETURN TO YOUR HOMES IMMEDIATELY!" , loudspeakers blared from the helicopters as they slowed to a hover over the protesters.

The protestors hesitated, stopping briefly in their rampage. Muffled conversations occurred as the the mob of a hundred or so civilians debated what to do next.

The Mi-8s didn't wait for them to make a decision, instead dropping tear gas onto the crowds below. "RETURN TO YOUR HOMES OR YOU WILL BE ARRESTED!" the loudspeakers barked.

The protesters took the hint, scattering immediately. The Mi-8s landed, dropping off troops who moved quickly to secure the compound and move protesters out. Across multiple cities and areas of the Federation, similar events where in motion. A few would get violent, but would be dispatched within hours as the military cracked down with non-lethal, but strong force. By noon, a shaky calm would have returned to the country at large but with a cost, six more dead and dozens of civilians injured.

Roski, by popular vote, was permanently banned from Atlas earlier this month. I am not going to to rerun a poll because, after reviewing the votes, a vast majority of voters for his permabanning were present in Atlas during his presidency and I can trust they were able to form their own opinion. Only 3 voters werent present during his presidency.

Several large drills were located nearby, but the compound largely served an administrative and tech purpose. Now forgotten fires burned throughout the complex as workers fled the onslaught of rocks and insults from angry Rnani protestors. The protesters had overrun the guards hours ago and now rampaged through the campaign torching offices and occasionally even throwing homemade petrol bombs.

"NO MORE CORRUPTION! OPIN JIJI! NO MORE CORRUPTION! OPIN JIJI!" yelled the protestors as they made their way through the compound.

Suddenly, the loud whoop whoop whoop of approaching helicopters was heard, distant at first but soon loud enough to drown out the protesters. Two Mi-8 transport helicopters swooped into view, dropping leaflets ordering the protestors to disperse.

"FEDERATION ARMY, RETURN TO YOUR HOMES IMMEDIATELY!" , loudspeakers blared from the helicopters as they slowed to a hover over the protesters.

The protestors hesitated, stopping briefly in their rampage. Muffled conversations occurred as the the mob of a hundred or so civilians debated what to do next.

The Mi-8s didn't wait for them to make a decision, instead dropping tear gas onto the crowds below. "RETURN TO YOUR HOMES OR YOU WILL BE ARRESTED!" the loudspeakers barked.

The protesters took the hint, scattering immediately. The Mi-8s landed, dropping off troops who moved quickly to secure the compound and move protesters out. Across multiple cities and areas of the Federation, similar events where in motion. A few would get violent, but would be dispatched within hours as the military cracked down with non-lethal, but strong force. By noon, a shaky calm would have returned to the country at large but with a cost, six more dead and dozens of civilians injured.

Mainland Caprica is a very large peninsula with several smaller landmasses positioned off it's coastline that provide the backbone of the Caprican Overseas Territories. A mountain range bisects the country in it's heartland giving birth to Caprican Breadbasket and Northern Highlands where so many of the nation's aristocracy vacation.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: Due to Caprica's status as a peninsula; it's culture with the exception of the coastal areas is rather homogeneous and insular.The best real world comparison would be mix of Dutch and English cultures.Along the coastline; the people take on a more mercantile leaning and they would be similar to Americans living along the Eastern Coast of the continental United States. Caprican's in general are liberal, socially conscience pagan who have historically contributed greatly to the world in the sciences, humanities and classics and possess the cultural knowledge and arrogance that would entail. Socially; Capricans can be counted on to observe the niceties and almost religiously observe customs and courtesies almost to a fault.

Please scale down your military massively, or atleast take the tech way down, as well as those economy stats (for a population that high and to fit into our power structure, anything below 15k PC would be good for that population number. Though honestly bringing it down to a population of 20-30 million with a GDPPC of 40-45k with military tech similar to modern-day Germany (or US if you size it down a bit) would be best

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: Due to Caprica's status as a peninsula; it's culture with the exception of the coastal areas is rather homogeneous and insular.The best real world comparison would be mix of Dutch and English cultures.Along the coastline; the people take on a more mercantile leaning and they would be similar to Americans living along the Eastern Coast of the continental United States. Caprican's in general are liberal, socially conscience pagan who have historically contributed greatly to the world in the sciences, humanities and classics and possess the cultural knowledge and arrogance that would entail. Socially; Capricans can be counted on to observe the niceties and almost religiously observe customs and courtesies almost to a fault.

Please give a brief description of your national history:Formed in 1701 from a collection of princely states, republican militias and prominent city-states; the United Republic endured more than a century of conflict to solidify it's position on the Caprican peninsula and within it's local region. Following the end of the age of conflict in 1801; the United Republic industrialized quickly and used it's re-purposed mass industry to drive forth the engine of colonization for more than 100 years before suffering from a massive economic depression in the early 1930s. The country only managed to recover due to the discovery of then significant oil reserves which were immediately seized and used to jump start the economy.

In modern times; Caprica's oil reserves have mostly dried up and the country has transitioned smoothly from a manufacturing based economy to one based on services, information and communications technology as well as being on the leading edge of the alternative energy sector.The de facto official religion is Hellenism which is nominally followed by the majority of the population though with exceptions for Caprica's recent history as a major supporter of secular governance.. Capricans are a proud, liberal people with little tolerance for religious extremism(born from their existence as one of a handful of modern pagan nations). The country is a Unitary Semi-Presidential Constitutional Republic with the government divided into the executive, legislative and judicial branches all of which work to check the others power. Governing power is concentrated in the hands of Parliament and exercised through the President who is elected for 6 year terms by popular vote. The GDP is based on the GDP per capita, which is based on quality of living and economic success of the country - I'd like to see the rest of the region's stats before conceding on this point. However, it probably won't be too much of an issue, since as I mentioned in the app, the population is likely to decrease depending on where I go on the map (since it looks like all the Anglo nations go on islands).

The area in which Shonburg now resides was first controlled by various Germanic and Frankish tribes. It was first nominally conquered and brought under a centralized power by the Roman Empire. After Rome's collapse, it was occupied by Charlemagne, whose rule brought Christianity and stability. After his death, the Count of Shonburg reacted quickly and managed to seize most of what is now the modern Queendom. Much of the coastal and coastal inland is noted to have very warm, Mediterranean climate with long, hot summers and cold, rainy winters with little chance of snow and ice. The remaining territory is very oceanic climate, sharing similarities with the coastal inland in the mild to hot summers, they however experience a higher chance of snow and ice. The country itself is very hot through much of the year.

Much of the inland territory is flatlands with riverbeds and rivers. Dulce is a Western country. Dulce's history is marked by its strong and historic ties to religion which has remained a major role in the formation of the country. Much of its architecture, art, cuisine, and music as well as dialect has been influenced by foreign invaders as well as the colonial period and industrialized of the later 18th Century.

Roughly 540 CE, much of the country was divided in settling or nomadic tribesmen. Due to differences in religion and languages at the time, much of this period is marked as the "Warring Period" (400CE-620CE). It was roughly this time that Queen Dulce II of Andala set to travel to more civilized nations in asking for help (as Andala at the time was suffering from famine). Dulce II received troops and food for her generous payment (records have been loss of what occurred or what nations these deals were with).

With these troops, Dulce fed her people and began to utilize get new army to take back the lands that Andala had lost over the Warring Period. Through genius military tactics, Dulce II of Andala retook not only her native lands but had taken most of the northern inland region (now known as the Andalic Basin). She was named the first Grand Princess of Andala and created the first Kingdom of Dulce in her name, following the birth of her son, King Duncan I who arranged deals with the other tribes.

Under King Duncan II, the Dulcian Kingdom as well as the tribal lands became calm and after ten years of peace, the region ended their Warring Period sometime in 620CE with the Agreement at the Grand stones. King Duncan II would over the first kingdom until 1240, with the War of Five Sons. This would end the original Dulce Monarchy and bring in the Era of Justine and the Second Kingdom of Dulce and the Conquista.

Justine V of Dulce would declare a series of conflicts against the nonvessaled territories, ending the peace brought in by the Agreement at the Grand Stones and lead into a series of conflicts. The timing was quite poor as the military and officials were still very much divided due to the War of Five Sons and coordination lead to much death and a lengthen war period. In 1410, under King Georgio I, the territories were captured and Conquista ended leading to a golden age known as the Georgian Period or the Justinian Period.

During the 1800s industrial revolution, much of the country grew tired of monarcgies and successfully overthrew the Government in 1835, but it would eventually fail after poor economic progress and poor government leadership in later years and lead to a Civil War in 1903 which reinstated the Monarchy as a Constitutional Monarchy and created the Third Kingdom of Dulce which has been the ruling party since.

While most guns are the most modern equipment (save for some still existing 1950s-1960s models which still are a model of excellence), most heavy artillery, tank, planes, and other vehicles are over a decade or two old due to either immense success or no threat has caused their need for decommission.

The hall was silent as the members of parliament looked towards the empty podium. The television showing to their horror, the burning ruins of a large battleship with the tagline "DRS Adaleine Sank By Russian Forces!". Behind the curtains, the speaker read the document with shaking hands as he covered his mouth. He palms were sweating as the assistant helped him with his tie.

"You'll do fine, sir." The assistant spoke softly, "Just read the document and the rest will fall into place."

The door opened, and a man with dark sunglasses and a pale grey suit walked in. He sat down in an empty chair and ran his head over his bald head as look sighed.

"Can't believe it really happened." He murmured, "Just seems so unreal, Duncan. Are you really ready for this?"

Duncan stood up and grabbed the garbage pail by the vanity and vomited loudly inside. The man just smiled wryly and looked away.

"I'll take that as a yes." He stood up and walked away as Duncan grabbed the document, it crumpled in his grip as the assistant placed the last of the makeup on. Duncan felt sick, nervousness had always done this to him and yet he had thought he had conquered all his childhood fears. The door opened and he stood into the light, the sweat was gone and nervousness fading in the bright lights of Parliament. All members stood up as he walked to the podium, and grabbed the microphone before setting the papers in front of him.
