Center is mainly plains and smaller mountain ranges up to the eastern slope of the Shadrach mountain range, and arid plains on the western side.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: Mixed American/European. Mainly Caucasian ethnicity with immigration-related mixing of Latin and Sabra ethnicity.

Please give a brief description of your national history: After the fall of the great Aemon empire in 26 C.E. and the subsequent centuries of medieval chaos that followed, the region of Marcheria divided into a number of feudal kingdoms that constantly fought each other for several more centuries, uniting on several occasions to drive off foreign invasions. After the Second Genesean War in the mid-19th Century, the sixteen largest kingdoms united for good under the terms of the Treaty of Westhaven, which established the Federation of Marcher States on 8 June 1855. The nation spent the next several decades industrializing and on the date of its sesquicentennial declared its "noble experiment" with democracy a success. The nation rose to prominence as a world power after its victory in the Fourth Genesean Conflict in 1943.

There is some tension between Easthaven and the western states, where the center-right Unionist Party holds a monopoly on governorships and Parlimentary seats

Great to have you back. Okay- I seem to understand that you want to play as a major power. There's really only two population brackets left- the massive, 1 billion ish, China/India type nations with plenty of power but poor living conditions and citizens; or the great power- 100-200 million mark, with decent standards of living but slightly less powerful than a superpower. Could you rework the military and GDP to one of those please?

National Demonym: Stelandian
Nation Population: 37,241,500

Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: The landscape of Stelandia consists mostly of moors, highlands and forested areas. Population centres are concentrated around the south. Stelandia's largest lake, Loch Lamond is the largest body of fresh water in Stelandia, and is home to 17 native species of fauna. A mountain chain, the Gordon Mountains, runs East to West, seperating the country into two, the 'Lowlands', south of the Mountains, and the 'Highlands', land north of the Gordons. The tallest peak is Mount Perseverance, at 2,400 metres. The temperatures range from 27 Celsius to -16 Celsius during winter months.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: The people are mostly (76%) of Celtic culture, and roughly 37% follow the United Church of Stelandia. The homogeneous society of Stelandia has recently warmed up to outsiders, and immigration rates have increased significantly since 2009. In fact, the Celtic culture of Stelandia has many influences from neighbouring Brytene, and people of Brystic origin make up 11% of the population according to a 2014 census. There are more distinct cultures across the Island, such as Clan Kennedy close to Brytene, who are almost exclusively Brystic in culture, and the islands of Clan Fraser, who have more in common with Nordic and Slavic cultures. Although Stelandia has had a pacifist policy for the past 20 years, the clans remain highly militaristic and the nation's Cadet Corps is home to some of the most elite officers of Atlas.

Please give a brief description of your national history: The Celts have inhabited Stelandia since 1200BC. The tradition of naming the nation according to the ruling dynasty has been around since the first clan, Allardice, managed to claim the throne of 'Allardia' in 230AD. Other examples include the Murray clan renaming the nation to 'Marlandia', and currently Clan Stewart renaming it to 'Stelandia'. In the 4th Century, Saint Ninian converted the people of Walandia under Clan Wallace to Christianity, and currently is one of the most venerated saints in the United Church of Stelandia. In 1188, the clans of Stelandia fought a series of wars that lasted more than 40 years, and in 1234, Clan Stirling managed to wrestle control of the Crown and King Rufus of Stirling was coronated in Stirling castle as the first Stirling King of the Celts. Under the Stirling dynasty, which ruled from 1235 till 1464, the clans were brought into line with laws which decreased the autonomy of the clans and increasing the power of the King. In 1833, after a series of 12 unsuccessful rebellions, the army of Clan Stewart marched into Stirling, then the capitol of the monarchy, and claim the throne of Stelandia.

The Crown of Stelandia has been fought for for almost 800 years; though since the 1800's the number of Pretenders have decreased and the Stewart dynasty has cemented itself as the most powerful of the clans, dozens of nobles from different clans still seek to press their claim to the Throne. The General Minister is the equivalent to the rank of that of a Prime Minister, and citizens of ages above 17 get to vote for the General Minister, who then serves a 4-year term.

Great to have you back. Okay- I seem to understand that you want to play as a major power. There's really only two population brackets left- the massive, 1 billion ish, China/India type nations with plenty of power but poor living conditions and citizens; or the great power- 100-200 million mark, with decent standards of living but slightly less powerful than a superpower. Could you rework the military and GDP to one of those please?

The middle islands receive the most rainfall, but little effect results, for it just runs off into the sea. However, some of the smaller, newer islands are inhabitable due to lack of consistent plant populations to support society (due to soil erosion and volcanic activity).

Across the federation, there is a dominant religion, centering around the Earth, Water, Fire, and Air gods, with many lesser gods to support the pantheon (no, this is not based on Avatar - don't do it).

Past 500 AD, competing states had formed, and a changing system of powers was the norm for the next thousand years. Due to the simple lifestyles on the lesser islands, technology slowly changed, but on the major island civilizations, technology developed more quickly, just not at the pace of contemporary civilizations. Kingdoms ruled the islands from 1400 to 1800, and finally fell to decline due to colonization and settler attempts by European-based civilizations starting in 1647. Consistent contact continued across the major islands, and outside influence helped them develop more quickly. After the fall of kingdoms spanning the islands, the major ethnic groups formed their own monarchies, democracies, or dictatorships, and formed a loose association to maintain regional stability. Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: The landscape of Stelandia consists mostly of moors, highlands and forested areas. Population centres are concentrated around the south. Stelandia's largest lake, Loch Lamond is the largest body of fresh water in Stelandia, and is home to 17 native species of fauna. A mountain chain, the Gordon Mountains, runs East to West, seperating the country into two, the 'Lowlands', south of the Mountains, and the 'Highlands', land north of the Gordons. The tallest peak is Mount Perseverance, at 2,400 metres. The temperatures range from 27 Celsius to -16 Celsius during winter months.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: The people are mostly (76%) of Celtic culture, and roughly 37% follow the United Church of Stelandia. The homogeneous society of Stelandia has recently warmed up to outsiders, and immigration rates have increased significantly since 2009. In fact, the Celtic culture of Stelandia has many influences from neighbouring Brytene, and people of Brystic origin make up 11% of the population according to a 2014 census. There are more distinct cultures across the Island, such as Clan Kennedy close to Brytene, who are almost exclusively Brystic in culture, and the islands of Clan Fraser, who have more in common with Nordic and Slavic cultures. Although Stelandia has had a pacifist policy for the past 20 years, the clans remain highly militaristic and the nation's Cadet Corps is home to some of the most elite officers of Atlas.

Please give a brief description of your national history: The Celts have inhabited Stelandia since 1200BC. The tradition of naming the nation according to the ruling dynasty has been around since the first clan, Allardice, managed to claim the throne of 'Allardia' in 230AD. Other examples include the Murray clan renaming the nation to 'Marlandia', and currently Clan Stewart renaming it to 'Stelandia'. In the 4th Century, Saint Ninian converted the people of Walandia under Clan Wallace to Christianity, and currently is one of the most venerated saints in the United Church of Stelandia. In 1188, the clans of Stelandia fought a series of wars that lasted more than 40 years, and in 1234, Clan Stirling managed to wrestle control of the Crown and King Rufus of Stirling was coronated in Stirling castle as the first Stirling King of the Celts. Under the Stirling dynasty, which ruled from 1235 till 1464, the clans were brought into line with laws which decreased the autonomy of the clans and increasing the power of the King. In 1833, after a series of 12 unsuccessful rebellions, the army of Clan Stewart marched into Stirling, then the capitol of the monarchy, and claim the throne of Stelandia.

Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: The climate of Motui Mateao is much like the Pacific islands, with a warm, stable temperature year round. There is a healthy amount of rainfall across the northern and southern isles, with a drier (but not desert) clime on the major islands (on the east sides of the mountain ranges, leeward and windward and all that). The middle islands receive the most rainfall, but little effect results, for it just runs off into the sea. However, some of the smaller, newer islands are inhabitable due to lack of consistent plant populations to support society (due to soil erosion and volcanic activity).

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: The ethnic makeup of Motui Mateao is predominantly Pacific Islander, with some white population that descended from early settling attempts (and failures, for they were integrated into the native population). The culture of Motui Mateao is rich, with much influence continuing from ancient times. The country has many diverse populations across the different islands and archipelagos. Across the federation, there is a dominant religion, centering around the Earth, Water, Fire, and Air gods, with many lesser gods to support the pantheon (no, this is not based on Avatar - don't do it).

Please give a brief description of your national history:The islands were settled by East-Asian peoples in 3,000 BC, with civilization developing on the major islands and major island groups up to 500 AD. Past 500 AD, competing states had formed, and a changing system of powers was the norm for the next thousand years. Due to the simple lifestyles on the lesser islands, technology slowly changed, but on the major island civilizations, technology developed more quickly, just not at the pace of contemporary civilizations. Kingdoms ruled the islands from 1400 to 1800, and finally fell to decline due to colonization and settler attempts by European-based civilizations starting in 1647. Consistent contact continued across the major islands, and outside influence helped them develop more quickly. After the fall of kingdoms spanning the islands, the major ethnic groups formed their own monarchies, democracies, or dictatorships, and formed a loose association to maintain regional stability. Following the Great War of 1941, the islands' governments dissolved and a federal republic took its place.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: Mixed American/European. Mainly Caucasian ethnicity with immigration-related mixing of Latin and Sabra ethnicity.

Please give a brief description of your national history: After the fall of the great Aemon empire in 26 C.E. and the subsequent centuries of medieval chaos that followed, the region of Marcheria divided into a number of feudal kingdoms that constantly fought each other for several more centuries, uniting on several occasions to drive off foreign invasions. After the Second Genesean War in the mid-19th Century, the sixteen largest kingdoms united for good under the terms of the Treaty of Westhaven, which established the Federation of Marcher States on 8 June 1855. The nation spent the next several decades industrializing and on the date of its sesquicentennial declared its "noble experiment" with democracy a success. Could've sworn I was already accepted, but I'm trying for basically a German-level economy, so the 9 trill for 206 million people lands around the right spot in the ballpark. Space command is basically a military-overseen department for both military and civilian space programs.
