From what I can tell duplex doubles projectiles but doesn't quite halve effectiveness.... So it is better. But you lose accuracy, and lethality, but with the lethality argument you are putting out twice as many rounds so you have an advantage in chances of actually hitting your target..... logic is strange, and I'm still not issuing them..... I'll just give my HMG and Rotary guns the ability to feed shotshells

Damascus Steel gets complicated fast, the leading theory is that what really made damascus steel good was the ores they were using, which were mined from an area near Damascus and really only available to the smiths in that area. Out side of that we've been able to make stuff that superficially looks like Damascus Steel, and is, for the most part, way better than what they would have been able to do back then.

But yes the real deal Damascus Steel did have both carbon nanotubes (tiny little bits) and crystallization (think semi-dimonds) in the blade. That part we will probably never really recreate because it required a specific material input, and since the area has been mined out we can't recreate it.

Damascus steel isn't from Damascus, it's from India/Pakistan that region.

You are correct, however the problem still stands that we can't recreate it due to a lack of understanding of the minerals used to make it. Plus not having clear records on the manufacturing process.

By the way. I cannot find a 20-round magazine [unless the stanag 20 round mag ew..]

in PMG? there are the SCAR-H and SR-25 magazine. both are 20-rounders and are chambered for 7.62x51mm (battle rifle). also, you can always size the mags up or put two SVD mags togheter and make 'em one single thing with shapes. once you get the hang of it it is fairly easy to even make entire guns with shapes. here, have a look at my gallery: http://caiobrazil.deviantart.com/

I'm fairly certain a military museum run by this Ford would be the greatest thing in the galaxy.

I would create a company whose sole job is to remake old forgotten weapons and sell them commercially - like remaking EM-2s and .280 ammunition, or making Sieg Rifles.

this is awesome. i guess i shall be making bayonets of said material in the future.
currently my nation's combat knife (not bayonet, too short to be one) features a titanium blade, with a protective layer, because it's non-magnetic and if i remember correctly if you scratch it, it fills the area naturally.
but i really can't into knifes, or steel types, or generally, anything related to knifes and bayonets. i don't know even how a freaking bayonet lug works.

i tried to make the comuflages in GIMP, using transparency and layers, in order to kkep the shading. i don't know if it turned out well though; you can only really notice the shading on the British DPM camos.

I just see targets for FIAsoldate sharpshooters, seriously "Here is my skull, make it touch oxygen due to the brightly and clearly showing colored 'kill me now, here I am'. Honestly, it's like the brightly colored kids' learning-targets are going out of sale at Cabelas.

In the war we're currently fighting in, everybody wears bright colors.

The UTA goes around looking like beat-up smurfs with their blue, red, and white armored Immortals, and the Welkynd are constantly rocking purple and gold.

Also the suits have a 'chameleon' feature which allows the wearer to blend into the surrounding area and replicate both it's pattern and texture, much like an octopus or a cuddlefish. This gets rid of the big-ass head stripe.

let me make it clear:
clip: device used to aid the loading of a magazine. internal magazines also count.
magazine: device used to actively feed a firearm. most use springs to do so.
en-bloc lip: idunnohowthatworks

anyways, that is a magazine. right?
