Page 112 of the book contains interesting information on the first LMG, which also had the first rotating bolt. A couple of pages later, it details an AP projectile 40 years ahead of it's time.

So simple to take apart, clean and use a child can do it. The SR-2 is to the PDW world as the AK is to the Rifle world. Its simple, reliable, and powerful. It has a recoil impulse so low it leaves the shooter questioning if he really did just dump 30 rounds on target and never once did he go off target. It shoots a 9x19 7N31/21 if the 9N21/31 went to the gym more, and trained while looking at pictures of the enemy's soft, squishy body. The SR-2 is the SVDK of the PDW world. Someone forgot to tell SR-2 that its not intended for combat past 100m when it was born and its been shooting 200m since then. Someone forgot to tell it that its brass isn't supposed to be ejected with such force that it can be used as a less-lethal weapon, so hes been doing that too. The SR-2 hates all things that aren't filled with holes, and it wants to fill your soft, squishy self with holes. And no, it wont not fill you with holes.

The bolt and spring set-up reminds me a bit of the Vz. 58.

Considering Colt uses a normal bolt system compared to the more simplistic LSAT push-through, yes.

I made a flare gun, but since Sevvania is WWII-tech and uses full brass shotgun shotgun shells, I'm having trouble deciding how to distinguish between 12 gauge and 12 gauge flare rounds, aside from length. I tried putting a red end on the flare rounds. Can you paint a cartridge without any ill effects on the barrel?

Anyway, it's a break-action, over-under, double-barreled, 12 gauge flare gun. Good? Bad? Ugly?

Yea. The Groza has its place and thats in specialized units. I didnt like the ergonomics and such but in terms of a bulpup Kalashnikov its one of the better ones out there.

http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/ ... rr1971.jpg

See how relatively short it is? Its pretty uncomfortable as far as mainline rifles go if you need to take such a balled up, tense stance to fire your weapon properly. Its REALLY compact as far as AKs go which does make it a viable replacement for my beloved AKS-74U, but at the same time due to its bulpup nature it may require a bit of retraining of your troops to properly aim, fire, and load the weapon, while maintenance is almost the same.

Well, flares are fired at much lower velocity, so I doubt you'd even need the shells to be brass.

Right, but during the 1940s, the only shotgun shell materials I know of that were used at the time were cardboard or brass. I chose brass because it's more waterproof than cardboard, so I used brass for the flare gun as well. The last thing you want is to bail out over an ocean and wash up on some island, only to realize your flares have fallen apart.

Like the receiver, body and all that? That would be a bit expensive, the OTs-14s parts are all AK based, it shares like 40-60% parts compatibility, and by doing so you need to make new parts for it. It could be done, and I woul say it needs to be at least 820mm in length to be considered acceptable length as a strandard rifle, and im not talking about adding more inches to the barrel length in that sense. The longest version is the OTs-14-4A-03 which is a version intended for marksman work with 9x39mm.

That and it has a strange gravitational center resulting in more muzzle climb vs. a standard AK. This is reduced with the grenade launcher addon.

inb4 seigcompensator, no, shut up, its not going to work.
