Best I can do is a 1911 that's PM-sized:

Not really sure how I Soviet-ize a 1911, though. Closest thing I can think of is this notTT-33:

Credit to Dalt_TT for both base designs, by the way. He does awesome work.

Well, that's a damn shame. Maybe some sort of stupidly big-bore TT-33?

And yes indeed, Dalt_TT does a rather kickass job with his firearm-artistry.

Tulean soldiers don't get a lot of hand-to-hand combat training, aside from bayonet drills.

They get some boxing training and are taught a handful of useful judo moves.
Eye-gouging, scrotum biting and throat chopping comes naturally with the desperation that life-or-death hand-to-hand combat entails.

Most conventional martial arts styles aren't that useful in a military environment, mainly because people are more likely to just shoot each other or skewer each other on bayonets (if they're not killed by artillery or weapons systems, which is more likely), but also because it's impossible to the majority of advanced techniques while wearing full kit (you feel like an old man in terms of mobility when you're humping it with SAPIs), especially if your soldiers have an existence load on them, though they probably shouldn't be in an environment where they can be engaged at such ranges if they're carrying that much on them.

Went back to MMW 10. Saw Puz's review of the Regulars again. Made me think that we need an extension of said review for the new Regulars.

Ah, good to know the United States Marines also practices the art of negative dental-scrotal interface.

But basically this. Very few systems of martial arts are practical in combat load and outfit. A few (Like Systema and MAC) are developed FOR combat in battle load, while most are basically grappling, boxing and hoping you don't get shot.

well you could go with a concealable/under dress style vestlike the british INIBA kit or the countless polcie style vests on the market which woudl allow body armour to be worn without interfering with a noddy suit.

trying to integrate armour directly into the noddy suit itself just seems a step too far unless you are going to make it really close fitting in the style New Visegrad was suggesting.

its proabably goign to be rouhgly similar for both approachs although using protection biult into the noddy suit would make plate integration much easier. On the other hand using an udner sress vest would make the noddy suit easier to don, wear, produce and design. personally i would go for option 1 as its just so much easier all round.

Great coats are typically reserved as winter wear for troops operating in regions of Rustonia that actually experience winter. Not that it is usually necessary. NBC suits keep soldiers warm just fine.
