Now featuring a soft-point and steel-tipped. Does a change in bullet shape like that of my steel-tipped require any changes to the rifle's chamber?

any chance this could be a service rifle cartridge for you?

I don't *think* so. It may require a different twist rate for the barrel though.

Well it shared that title mid-Deep War when the Huntsman Rifle bolstered the Service Rifles that began to run low in number.

It's silly? Not sure what other comments would be applicable. Other than the grip is wonky.

15.5x115mm master race

is that blowback or recoil operated?

Kinda off topic, but how does this autocannon lineup sound?

They're intended for both ground work and AA, the heavier ones being mostly for naval use. I'd like ( at least for the lighter calibers ) to have gas operation that can be turned off ( so you can also use them externally powered ) .

15.5x115mm
25x137mm
35x228mm
45x410mm

..and Oto 76.2x900mm

Maybe also some 55mm, 65mm and 85mm for naval use?

Whatever happened to the ARES 75mm CTA?

Pick one out of your 35/45mm rounds, they will both be doing pretty much the same thing. Unless of course its different rounds in different services or a result of buying a hodge podge of weapons systems.

This goes doubly so if you are thinking of a 55/57/60mm round.

next worth while step up from that is 85-100mm

possibly you migth want to go 35mm-50mm-75mm.

of coruse this only really applies if going for a hyper rationalised choice of calibres

I'm not sure if it'll have a holster stock, though.

So I'm currently trying to work out the composition of a company in my nation's military, since I've already got everything up to platoon level.

Cell -> Squad -> Platoon

One cell has six men (designated marksmen, two riflemen, one anti-tank gunner, one machine gunner). One squad has two cells. Each squad is equipped with one Patria Pasi APC.

One platoon has three squads, two medics, a platoon leader, an assistant platoon leader, and a three man mortar team. Patria Pasi APCs have a two man crew which are attached to squads but a part of the platoon. HQ members and mortar team also pile into an APC.

In total, 52 man platoon.

Thanks to Immoren, I've also got this idea for an attached anti-tank squad at the company level.

Squad leader
Squad 2ic
ATGM team
-Team leader
-Gunner
-Assistant

I wouldn't use it as a sniper cartridge. It seems likely it used the 8mm bullet from the standard rifle round at the time in a significantly smaller case. This should explain why, even for police, its a bad idea.
