The filthy wrote:The queen tired of the old anthem "War war war war war until victory" because let's face it, we haven't been to war in ages.
The anthem wasn't capturing our nation's lesbianism sufficently either.

This is the new more lesbian anthem
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K10yxk3b ... re=related

it deals with Queen Van den Crumps dispair upon discovering her lover to be straight and in love with a man. It was quite literally "the last thing on her mind"

If that's an anthem, I'm afraid to hear the rap music.
95% of people on NationStates won’t read this, but as we speak, Libyan people are being massacred, because they’re rebelling against an unfair government. Actually, we have many. Our de facto anthem is We Call it Home, but other anthems used include My Pride in Kalasion and Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows.

Let the trumpets and the cornets sound

Postby Genyria » Sun Feb 14, 2010 4:44 am

Let the trumpets and the cornets sound, sung to the tune of "The World in Union".

Let the trumpets and the cornets sound our glorious Commonwealth,
Th’ Commonwealth of Genyria, our ’llustrious native land.

One realm of many races, each rich in history,
In culture, in diversity, and in unity!
Let the unity be maintained in our glorious Commonwealth,
Th’ Commonwealth of Genyria, our ’llustrious native land.

Let the flag of our realm ever fly o’er its guarded land,
And let the men of Genyria defend it with their lives;
Let the flag of the unicorn fly o’er the Commonwealth,
Th’ Commonwealth of Genyria, our ’llustrious native land.

Magalasies, Athenians, Spartans and Trelavians,
Frenchmen, Parovians, Cantabrigians are we.
These seven populaces constitute the Commonwealth,
Th’ Commonwealth of Genyria, our ’llustrious native land.

Let the citizens all sing out for the glory of our land,
And let the marching band strike up our patriotic tune;
Let the trumpets and the cornets sound our glorious Commonwealth,
Th’ Commonwealth of Genyria, our ’llustrious native land.

Normally just the final verse is sung. If it is sung in full, the instrumental accompaniment is gradually increased throughout the verses until the final verse, sung with full concert orchestra, where available.

Man In the Mirror

Postby Namtucket » Sun Feb 14, 2010 10:15 am

I'm Gonna Make A Change,
For Once In My Life
It's Gonna Feel Real Good,
Gonna Make A Difference
Gonna Make It Right . . .

As I, Turn Up The Collar On My
Favourite Winter Coat
This Wind Is Blowin' My Mind
I See The Kids In The Street,
Without Enough To Eat
Who Am I, To Be Blind?
Pretending Not To See
Their Needs
A Summer's Disregard,
A Broken Bottle Top
And A One Man's Soul
They Follow Each Other On
The Wind Ya' Know
'Cause They Got Nowhere To Go
That's Why Now I Want You To Know

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change)
(Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na, Na Nah)

I've Been A Victim Of A Selfish
Kind Of Love
It's Time That I Realize
That There Are Some With No
Home, Not A Nickel To Loan
Could It Be Really Me,
Pretending That They're Not Alone?

A Willow Deeply Scarred,
Somebody's Broken Heart
And A Washed-Out Dream
(Washed-Out Dream)
They Follow The Pattern Of
The Wind, Ya' See
Cause They Got No Place To Be
That's Why I'm Starting With Me
(Starting With Me!)

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
(Ooh!)
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change)

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
(Change His Ways-Ooh!)
And No Message Could've
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make That . . .
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make That . . .)
Change!

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror,
(Man In The Mirror-Oh Yeah!)
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
(Better Change!)
No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make The Change)
(You Gotta Get It Right, While
You Got The Time)
('Cause When You Close Your Heart)
You Can't Close Your . . .Your Mind!
(Then You Close Your . . . Mind!)
That Man, That Man, That
Man, That Man
With That Man In The Mirror
(Man In The Mirror, Oh Yeah!)
That Man, That Man, That Man
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
(Better Change!)
You Know . . .That Man
No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah
(Oh Yeah!)
Gonna Feel Real Good Now!
Yeah Yeah! Yeah Yeah!
Yeah Yeah!
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah
(Ooooh . . .)
Oh No, No No . . .
I'm Gonna Make A Change
It's Gonna Feel Real Good!
Come On!
(Change . . .)
Just Lift Yourself
You Know
You've Got To Stop It.
Yourself!
(Yeah!-Make That Change!)
I've Got To Make That Change,
Today!
Hoo!
(Man In The Mirror)
You Got To
You Got To Not Let Yourself . . .
Brother . . .
Hoo!
(Yeah!-Make That Change!)
You Know-I've Got To Get
That Man, That Man . . .
(Man In The Mirror)
You've Got To
You've Got To Move! Come
On! Come On!
You Got To . . .
Stand Up! Stand Up!
Stand Up!
(Yeah-Make That Change)
Stand Up And Lift
Yourself, Now!
(Man In The Mirror)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Aaow!
(Yeah-Make That Change)
Gonna Make That Change . . .
Come On!
(Man In The Mirror)
You Know It!
You Know It!
You Know It!
You Know . . .
(Change . . .)
Make That Change.

The National Anthem Of The Democratic Republic Of Primrose Valley:

Peace, Liberty, Equality. (1934)
Robert Yiktaval (1876 - 1953)

The pleasant vales of our land
The fairness of the civil hand
The prosperity shared by you and me
The Peace, Liberty and Equality.

May our nation prosper to the end
May every moment we spend
In our glorious country be
Full of Peace, Liberty and Equality.

May our people never see opression
Our country never see regression
Three laurels of our country
Peace, Liberty and Equality.

May we be free for eternity
Past the lives of you and me
And those who are here still see
The Peace, Liberty and Equality.

Ours is The Song of Frenca. It was written by the Roarman Dynasty (1240-1665) and Frencan poet Christopher Damenrus (1623-1709) in 1666, known for writing many famous songs and even honored by the Frencan Republic President. It was published in all languages.
BEGINNING
Oh, can you see Frenca's glory, shining like a star.
Oh, can you see Frenca's power, massive like a sun.
Oh, can you see Frenca, just like a mass of worlds.
FIRST VERSE
When the sun rises up, (echo)
And the chicks go chirp, (echo)
You don't think Frenca's good, (echo)
Nor know it's the best.
REFRAIN
You don't have to believe this
But one day you will see
That Frenca stands best
Amass a world
(REPEAT)
SECOND VERSE
When the wolves go call, (echo)
And the river gurgles fast, (echo)
You'll realize Frenca's best, (echo)
Out of all of them.(echo
The Great Kingdom of Frenca and the Protectorates of The Kingdom of Auatris, The Kingdom of France-Bourbon, and The Kingdom of France and Bourbon

Sammy Hagar - I can't drive 55 has been picked (mostly) by the population

One foot on the brake and one on the gas, hey!
Well, there's too much traffic, I can't pass, no!
So I tried my best illegal move
A big black and white come and crushed my groove again!

CHORUS:
Go on & write me up for 125
Post my face, wanted dead or alive
Take my license n' all that jive
I can't drive É 55! Oh No! Uh!

So I signed my name on number 24, hey!
Yeah the judge said, "Boy, just one more
I'm gonna throw your ass in the city joint"
Looked me in the eye, said, "You get my point?"
I said "Yeah!, Oh yea!"

CHORUS II:
Write me up for 125
Post my face, wanted dead or alive
Take my license, all that jive
I can't drive É 55!
Oh, yea!

The Anthem of Nemeijet

Postby Nemeijet » Thu Feb 18, 2010 11:30 am

We used to use "O Captain, My Captain" as our national anthem, but in the eighty-fifth anniversary of our nation, we had a songwriting contest and this was accepted.

Oh how sweet the marvels of Rome,
Yet boring as a diction- tome,
Greece, the loved, with fame,
Oh, but much the same.
I sing a sweeter creed than thee:
Given the light of the sea,
I sing and strum a golden fret,
For I love Nemeijet!
Fire , Water, Earth, Air
Darkness, Light
Good, Evil
The Supreme Powers Make a Supreme Draconus.
