The continent is yet again up in arms over another conflict. President Luna of Fantrum has led forth an attack on Athretvar as a result of an unprovoked attack on the east Fantrum border city. The images show the deployment of various stealth aircraft before their departure - the mission, destroy critical military assets and decrease the effectiveness of the Athretvari military. As the war wages President Maximus has only said "President Luna is a strong leader, and her actions are indicative of her expertise in dealing with tough matters; Nation M will stand down for the time being"

The images show the deployment of various stealth aircraft before their departure - the mission, destroy critical military assets and decrease the effectiveness of the Athretvari military. As the war wages President Maximus has only said "President Luna is a strong leader, and her actions are indicative of her expertise in dealing with tough matters; Nation M will stand down for the time being"

Luna sat in her office, reading the international news, "Nation M will stand down..." She had a smile on her face, as long as the international field was neutral to her, she could do as she pleased. She had been very careful when outlining the attack that no civilian center was to be bombed, and had given orders to Chrysalis not to fire on non- combatants. As of yet, the Fantrum military had pushed forward nearly 60 miles into Athertvari and had met little resistance as the Athertvarians pulled back and desperately attempted to regroup. The situation in the North however was different, at first the Marines landing went terribly, then horribly, with communications being jumbled up and divisions sent to the wrong beaches. It didnt help that the Athertvari were determined to hold a coast line city at all costs, forcing the brave Marines to fight room to room to secure the damned place. the body count for both sides was beginning to become staggering, as the Athertvari started using gorilla tactics, hitting fantrum soldiers in the back as they past and using civilian meat shields to keep artillery from firing on their location. But the Athertvari were losing, with most of their military wiped from the planet, it was only a matter of time before a surrender would be their only option.

The new navy was completed and ruled the waves in the Black Sea, now it was time to claim its first victim. The fleet surged forth riding the occasional wave, headed for Vainakh. Jets lifted off the north of Azaflaza and rocketed past the fleet and reached the island first. They hit military targets such as bases and took out the weaker Vainakh airforce to gain air superiority. The navy of Vainakh was a much greater threat and set out to meet with the Flazian fleet out in the open seas.

Fantrum News Today

~ A new band has emerged and is taking Fantrum by storm! The What, a band dedicated to olden style music forms, has begun touring across Fantrum and is expected to tour internationally.

~ The Blitz in Athertvari has been immensely successful, with nearly 240 miles of ground taken in the first days of what is now referred to as Operation Fire-sale, and is expected to yield more results.

The Grand general ducked as bullets pinged off the commander's hatch of her M-43-A2, The Athertvari had luanched a surprise counter attack in an effort to buy time for a civilian evacuation of the large city in proximity of the Fantrum main push. Chrysalis poked her head out of the hatch and quickly looked over the still green landscape and saw that the Athertvari had hastily dug trenches and pill boxes set up, but her analysis was interrupted by the tank next to hers bursting into flames as an AT rocket ripped into the ammo rack. Thinking quickly, she instructed the rest of her tanks continue the charge as she had her driver pull alongside and cover the burning tank. Grabbing a fire extinguisher she jumped from her M43A2 and hopped onto the turret of the burning one. "Im getting to damned old for this shit!" She yelled as she yanked the tank's commander from his hatch and tossed him down to the ground, then sprayed the fire retardant foam down into the tank's interior, putting out the gunner and buying the loader enough of a window to haul him out and hand him off to the General, then climb out himself. Chrysalis chucked the expended extinguisher away and set about yanking open the driver's hatch and pulling the unconscious man out. She had the four men hold onto the back of her tank as it reversed and reached the infantry that was running behind the tanks, Chrysalis wasted no time dumping the men with a corpsmen and taking off with her tank to rejoin the line, which had crushed the Athertvari line and were holding their location awaiting orders. Chrysalis stood atop her MBT, hands on her hips and one foot resting on the commander's hatch as she responded to the plea for orders, "Onto the breach! we charge till we have to stop! For Luna and her Republic, ONWARD!" She drew her sword and pointed it forward as her tank took the lead position in a V formation. A correspondent took a picture of her as she did so. A flight of F-107's roars overhead as the line of tanks continues it's onslaught, dropping napalm onto prepared positions some 50 miles ahead of the Fantrum line.

Nation M News - When do nations go too far??

The recent conflict with the Athretvari military and the Fantrum forces has divided some in Nation M. Some groups have even suggested the Fantrum government is seeking to expand their influence in the region.

Alec Boomer "Who can really tell if they were actually attacked in the first place? Was there an international investigation? Why did the international community stay quiet?

Zakk Housmann "President Luna has faced many threats, and foreign aggression in the past. She is merely looking out for her people! We would do the same! I think President Maximus should continue to support the Fantrum government and honor the Fantrum Accords that have been set during the great world war."

Kimberly Zigge "What about what the Fantrums have done with the southern nation of Naulington? We've reports from Trent City on the continued occupation."

Uma Han "Because of Fantrum, we've been able to extinguish the biggest threats to our region, the Greater Belkan Empire and the Lunas Legion....did we all forget?"

President Luna brushed a few strands of hair out of her face, it had been a turbulent bunch of days indeed. But the Grand General had assured her that the situation in the east was under control, and indeed they were, Athretvari representatives were already in talks and Luna had demanded nothing less than unconditional surrender. Some pressure had been taken off her by Nation M's compliance with the Accords, but Cadence was certainly not making it easy for her. The president would have to have a word with the General and remind her who was in charge. The House was starting to snoop into the matter of the war and Representative Discord was staring up the war opposition. Luna arranged for a meeting to be held between Nation M's President Maximus and Luna herself in New Canterlot.
