Czechovelkovan shitpost.

In other news, I will be back at home base for a few days starting... a couple hours from now. I'll have access to all of my firearms once more, plus many others owned by people I know near the area, so if anyone has questions about the following, let me know:

  • M1 Carbine
  • M44 Carbine
  • M91/30
  • M48
  • Kar98k
  • SKS
  • Saiga-12
  • AK-103 (clone)
  • Mossberg 500A
  • Daewoo K2
  • StG-58
  • AK-74
  • SIG 556
  • AR-15
  • Mini-14
  • AKMS
  • 1911A1
  • PM
  • K5
  • TP25
  • P.38
  • M1895
  • P90 (.45ACP, Ruger)
  • MAC-11
  • Others

I will also have access to hunting rifles such as Remington 700s, Win. Model 70s, things like that.

If no one has any questions about any of these platforms, I'll probably just cuddle with my AK-103 and whisper into its chamber how much I missed it.

Keep in mind that the MAC-11 I may have access to is a "pistol." No stock, but standard barrel length, etc. If I can find a box of 9mm or talk the guy out of a box, I will do a retest of accuracy.

As for recoil, I remember from the last time shooting it that it wasn't that bad. The MAC is kind of heavy for its size (not too unlike the Uzi series is), and I was using what I call the "SOG" grip on it.

Image

I'll probably be able to clean it up for him. I don't think he's ever cleaned it, so I'll see if I can't remember to get some photos of the internals if I get the chance. It is a Cobray-made firearm. The quality of it, as far as MACs go, is actually fairly nice: one of the nicer models you can get back from the 1980s. Very solid: I'm sure it'd make a great SMG if you needed a compact one. Makes me wish I had the opportunity to fire the full-auto one at the gun store I used to work at.

Probably a polymer-cased round with the belt going into the drum. As for the action itself, I don't think it'll really matter in terms of open-bolt/closed-bolt since they'll both be moving forward and rearward about the same amount as far as I know. I think a lot of it will just come down to the size of the cartridge you use.

Not the bolt but maybe a different feeding cam-pawl design to make it shorter. I was thinking of a horizontally wider action to shorten overall length.

I think I'll just go with a NotNegev.

Nitroglycerin is a liquid.

Don't know what to do with the internal support structure, I'll have polymer non-combustable endcaps.

What do you mean by internal support structure? And why have non-combustible endcaps?

What should I do with propellant?

I'd put it in the case.

R13 and Thunderbolt in .338 LM

The R13 (Crown Ordinance Thunderbolt) is a (nearly) unique fire-arm, based heavily on the design of the Nock Gun. The weapon first appeared in design format in 2005, and the first prototype was produced in 2008. The 'Thunderbolt' Commercial hunting rifle entered the markets in a range of calibres later that year, accompanied by a range of health warnings. However, in early 2013 interest in the rifle grew in the Kouralian Army, fueled by the situations faced by forces deployed in D'hɑlbrisir. The project was put on the back-burner and was expected to be ready by November 2013, but after the 31st Annual Demon War it was brought to the forefront and by July of that year it was ready for service.

In-Conclusive List of rounds the weapon is available in:
  • 9x19mm
  • .45ACP
  • .40
  • .44 Magnum
  • .357 Magnum
  • 6.5x25mm
  • 7.62x25mm
  • .303 KourP
  • .50 AE
  • 10mm Auto
  • .22 LR
  • 5.56x45mm
  • 5.45x39mm
  • .280 Kour
  • .280 British
  • 7.62x39mm
  • 7.62x51mm
  • 7.62x54mm
  • .303 British
  • .303 Kour(n/r)
  • .303 Kour(r)
  • .338 LM
  • 9.3×64mm
  • .50 BMG
  • 12 gauge
  • 40mm LV
The Thunderbolt uses a double-action hammer, which strikes the seven individually mobile pins to fire the rounds. Each of the six outer barrels has a catch by it. When the catch is flicked down then that barrel will not fire, when it is flicked up then it will. This enables the weapon to, in effect, be turned into a (rather unwieldy) bolt-action rifle with seven rounds. The only barrel which cannot be 'disabled' is the centre one. The weapon is break-action and upon being opened, the seven rounds will automatically be ejected. To reload it, the operator may either insert the rounds individually, or they may use a seven-round moon clip to speed up the process. The highest number of rounds gotten down-range with the .280 Kour version of the R13 in testing was seventy seven - one volley every 5.45 seconds. The R13 also uses recoil reducing springs in the stock to diminish the felt recoil, and reduce the risk of injury. As standard, the R13 form comes with a rail-mounted bayonet attachment point.
Designation: What is this I don't even
Standard Calibre: .303 Kour(n/r)
Rate of Fire: Single Shot
Action: Double-Action Hammer, Multiple-Barrel
Standard Feed Method: 7 round Moon Clip
Effective Range: 503m
Maximum Range: 2,743m
Weight (unloaded): 8,150g
Length: 911mm (Tactical Model, Normal barrel length, Bayonet not fixed)
Barrel Length: 432mm (Tactical Model, Normal barrel length)

Sort of relevant, but here's Puzikas's analysis of 5.7x28. Interesting read if you've got some time on your hands.
