Yeah, it's obvious that we're doing something bad even though there was a moderator involved in the conversation.

I honestly did not notice the red name until after. I just went with the post I quoted and the gut feeling I got from knowing where these kinds of arguments end up.
Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

The above post contains hyperbole, metaphoric language, embellishment and exaggeration. It may also include badly translated figures of speech and misused idioms. Analyze accordingly.

Perhaps the friction lever forces lower pressure ammunition?

WAIT! It must be the sling!

(I shouldn't have used a carbine and a rifle in the example....because then there were differences, which kind of defeated the joke)

it's so sad how the moment you start using metric that the weapons become baby murdering Cop killing machines, unless they're in the hands of the US military then they magically become airsoft pellets.

Also to change the subject back to guns

Would my FAL-Garand rifle be able to use an SKS folding bayonet and if so how long would it be? If not, then will either use M44 Bayonet or just a regular attachable version

-7.62x63mmHP ~ 2002-2008
-7.8x65mmHP ~ 2008-
-6.8x50mmMP ~ 2010-
-6.8x50mm Casless ~ 2013-

MG/DMR specialized cartridges:
-.30-06 ~ 1960s-1978
-7.92x60 ~ 1978-2002
-7.62x63mmHP ~ 2002-2008
-7.8x65mmHP ~ 2008- (-2013 for DMR)
-.270 Casless Magnum ~ 2013- (DMR only)

Pistol/subgun/pdw cartridges:
-10x25 Benomian ~ 1978-1994
-11x23 Phricktic ~ 1983-1994
-.45 Nuo ~ 1994-2012
-.45 Nko ~ 2000-2012
-7.62x25mm Tokarev +P+ CBJ HSLD HV MAXIMUM ~ 2012-

Sniper/AMR cartridges:
-.390 Maximum ~ 1980-1991
-10x80 Scheisser ~ 1991-2005
-.40-4000 Scheisser Magnum ~ 2005-
-12.5x95 OKAK ~ 1986-1991
-13x113 ~ 1991-2011
-16x100 ~ 2004-2011
-13x130 Caseless Magnum ~ 2011-

THINK that's all of them. THINK.

Alas, my habit of changing cartridges weekly (or daily) has made listing past cartridges near impossible. I can, however, list my current cartridges.

7.92x23mm PPat-50 (Pistols, Machine Pistols, PDWs, SMGs)
4.6x26mm GwPat-80 (Assault rifles, LSWs, PDWs)
9x25mm GwPat-50 (Heavy Rifles, Silenced Rifles, Heavy PDWs)
7.92x57mm Mauser GwPat-40 (DMRs, LMGs, Ceremonial Rifles)
9x57mm Mauser (Sniper Rifles, Medium Machine Guns)
13.5x115mm (AMRs, HMGs, Pocket Pistols)
35x120mm Gyrojet (Grenade Rifles)
35x60mm Grenade (UBGLs, GMGs)

In other news, I re-remade my 4.6mm projectile. It now, once again, has an effective range that is longer than it's accurate range. It also has an effective range of 550m when fired from an LSW's 24in barrel.

Add it. Literally.

For example, a rifle with an accuracy of 2 MOA will have a natural dispersion of 2 inches at 100 yards. If, at thus range, it has been blown half an inch off course, the bullet will impact anywhere on the horizontal axis up to 2.5 inches from the point of aim.

Similarly, if the projectile has a drop of 1 inch at 100 yards, it could strike anywhere on the vertical plane up to 3 inches from the point of aim.

At least, that's my theory.

Speaking of MV, I found out from one of my big-bore hunting associates (they do their own handloading, of which is fully understandable considering the cost of ammo like .600 Express an' whatnot). Well, according to im' the MV on the Kommandantpistole is "alright" due to the upped powder-load, lengthened case, ect for the 8.93R. In Paul's exact words "It'll be a mighty loud sombitch, but fuckall, that and the kick'll be fuckin' crazy.". So, well, yeah, I'll fiddle with the barrel and extend the chamber-area, but yarp, otherwise, you were halfways correct and I was halfways wrong.

Seems reasonable. Any idea on the accuracy of a mass produced barrel?

For want of heavy equipment the platoons FOs could direct no HMGs.

For want of HMGs, the Archians had to rely on shitty fucking microcalibers.

For want of real weapons, they lost the war.

Just to double check, he did know the barrel length?

Anywhere between slightly under 1 MOA (SIG 550 cost and quality) to 2-3 MOA (good AK/AR cost and quality) to more than 4 MOA (crappy AK/AR cost and quality).

1moa would certainly be achievable, especially if you were to use a FF tube, but having said that, your larger stepping stone will be your ammunition quality and your soldiers

Apparently some ARs get 1 MOA out of the box.
