Free-Market Economy: We believe in a free-market where the people are in control of both government and the economy. The strive for an economy where small-businesses are thriving and large corporations work responsibly is one of our main priorities. Vital businesses, such as
Health Care, recreational drugs and Emergency Services should be under government control for best performance.
Jobs and Employment: This nation cannot be built without its fantastic worker and middle classes. We strongly believe that each generation should be able to work as soon as they are able and want to. By business subsidizing, work incentive programs, free access to education for young people and a strong and growing market more jobs will be created and available to our nations young working.
Environment: The age of pollution and destruction of our beautiful environment must stay in the past. Our party has worked long and hard to keep pollution minimum, safe and renewable energy sources alive and the collective traffic strong and effective. We will continue to pursue the course of environmental protection if elected.

Economy: The Liberal Party strongly supports a free-economy which is one of the bases of a free society. We think that the individual is the most important part of a business. Prosperous societies have allowed the economy to be run by capable individuals and we believe in this nation. Government has a responsibility to protect its people´s rights, not infringe upon them. Everything from health care to a supermarket is best working with an educated and enthusiastic entrepreneur, not politicians.
Employment: A strong and free economy produces work. This is theory by which we relay greatly on. We wish to make Greenland friendly towards job-creators and companies coming from abroad who help our nations young and hopeful find work. The Government is incapable of creating jobs and is therefore incapable of creating incentive. The unnecessary and damaging incentive programs have got to go. The best incentive is Individualism. Work early in life should be encouraged by parents or caretakers, not by government billboards.
Environment: Renewable energy is the energy of the future. However, we must consider the potential that each energy source has and how to best exploit them without exploiting nature. Our successful NGDEN plant has shown that nuclear energy is not only getting safer, it’s getting more efficient. The non-state owned power plants in northern Greenland has shown great promise both job creation and efficient renewable energy. By de-regulating the nation´s energy business, more opportunities arise that will make this nation completely energy independent.

Economy: The PDP is united in the belief that a free-economy can be prosperous but can also get out of hand. The Great Depression in the 1930s and the Financial Global Crisis in the 2000s are good examples of when large corporations get too much responsibility. We believe in a balanced economy between state and private individuals, a balance that progresses the economy in the right direction. The economy needs a solidarity check, where big and exploitive corporations is regulated or nationalized. Vital components of our nation, the hospitals, Civil Service, Energy and Education should never be in the hands of private institutions or companies. Together with state and company we can create more jobs, just like in the 1930s.
Civil Rights: In the modern society we live in today, it is important that everyone receives an equal chance at education, work and in overall society. Old prejudices and bigotry belongs in the past and woman, homosexuals, Inuit and others deserve the same pay, rights and respect as any other Greenlander. The right to expression and religious freedom are important, basic tenets that we will ensure to its fullest. Any act to obstruct the LGBT community or women’s rights to her own body is an obstruction to democracy.
Defense: We believe in the defense of our nation and our values. Those values are to be shared with the rest of the world and wherever those values are threatened we must act. Through sanctions, diplomacy or in the worst case, militarily, we will secure a better world. Greenland has many young and willing souls that would fight for an oppressed people who are denied democracy, freedom or even the right to live. Whenever a country is robbed of these values, it is a blow to every free nation on Earth.

• Jobs and Employment

Jobs and Employment: The government´s golden days of bringing work force here through immigration are nearly over. Now we are left with an overregulated, over-bureaucratic and inefficient employment system. By putting the economy back into the private sector we will see the rise of new and exciting jobs. The free press and ordinary citizens do the best work of finding corrupt and exploitive businesses, there is no need for the massive taxes and regulations the government put in other then to slow our economy.
Elderly Care: Our elders deserve a well and respected place in our society. Today, many of our elders are in fear of both crime and poverty. It shouldn’t have to be like this, our elderly deserve an effective and alert police that can not only solve crimes, but prevent them. We therefore support the government´s Patrol-police. The elderly should also gain help from Solidarity and not have to fear high taxes or be tricked by welfare workers. The process of paying bills must therefore be much simpler for our nation´s elderly and preferable everyone.
Crime and Punishment: The lack of prisons and of full time police squad is huge obstacle to security in this country. We cannot liberalize the Justice system and hope crime will disappear, stricter laws, punishments and observation by authorities must be implemented to secure our freedoms. By deterring criminals from committing crime we can prevent them, however we do not believe in capital punishment.

Immigration: We are a nation tolerant to immigrants, but the current influx of immigrants is putting a huge burden on our economy. The old welfare system of Greenland ensured each and every one a safe and secure future, now that system must support a massive network millions new citizens and to be citizens. The government´s liberalization of immigration laws have to be regulated to a level where our economy and our people can support themselves and newcomers. The test for citizenry must be more rigid and illegal immigrants who abuse our systems be deported.
Economy: The rich and the powerful are exploiting our nation to a great extent. They are creating jobs at the expense of workers’ rights and place the government in a dependence status. Our elected representatives should not have to depend on un-elected capitalists. The public sector is perfectly capable of creating jobs and does not abuse its workers as the private sector does. We believe in Greenland´s young entrepreneurs but the government is also sworn to protect our most basic rights. Power belongs in the hands of the people, not a few fortunate.
Elderly Care: Taking care of our elders is one of our greatest responsibilities. It is important that we meet our obligation using an efficient and fair welfare system. Private institutions are not sufficient to take care of our elderly nor should we allow them the chance. There should be easy access to the democratic processes and a healthy state pension.
