How is powerful and influential is the mafia or your equivalent in your nation?
The Titianician Yakuzas were exterminated rather ruthlessly by the TSA under the rule of Ditor Jacī Lāzīn which resulted in a massive crime wave. The result of this reign of terror resulted with an entire sector being isolated completely which created a famine for all inside untill the TSA brought in its paramilitary wing - the Titianician Shinobi which started a bio plague that managed completely eradicate all most who lived inside.

We have the infamous Sicilian Mafia. They operate in other countries. The Albanian Mafia is from the neighboring Kingdom of Albania and they operate in the Auzkhian state of Kosovo. The Serbian mafia are prominent in the state of Serbia. The Romanian mafia do smuggling and prostitution. There is the Corsican mafia or better known as Unione Corse. Of course the police have good control over crime, so these mobs are not that powerful.

The Sedik Mafia started in the mid 1800's as a way to protect citizens from the thuggish police for of the time and were more a protection service rather then a crime syndicate. when communism took over the Mob turned into a group of smugglers to help get non government supply's into the Nation. once communism fell in 1964 they turned to the more typical Mafia committing crimes as drug smugglers and in the 60's and 70's were a huge issue in Sedikal but with the legalization of most of their chef income sources they fell into obscurity and in 1992 the last of the mobs power was stripped away in a large group of sting operations. the mob is now a very minor thing only dealing in weapons and illegal drugs like meth, Synthetic Cannabis, Bath Salts and other drugs of the kind. They have no political presence and are equivalent to American street gangs in power and are not nearly as violent.

Trying to make a mafia is pointless here, as there is no such thing as money that mafias can benefit from, everybody has access to pretty much anything. If someone wants something unique that other person has (such as a special plot of land) they can negotiate it with barter through an official government entity to prevent injustices.

There is next to no presence of large-scale organized crime (mafias) here, as they have little to warm their hands on, being as the usual (guns, drugs, alcohol, other illegal contraband...) is fully legal here, along with everything else; small local gangs and mafias do engage in counterfeiting, racketeering and the like, but while they tend to be a medium-sized problem in the cities, their influence thend to be very localized, there is no "the Mafia" to speak of.

We do fund large organized crime dealing in alcohol, drugs, other illegal substances and guns abroad, though.

Ulysses Corporation
How is powerful and influential is the mafia or your equivalent in your nation?
The Ulysses Corporation is quite skilled at the destruction of organized crime, just as it is also quite skilled at quietly operating within societies where its actions would be illegal.

The largest gang in Galliand, operating out of the Bogatstvo (trade/financial) district, is secretly controlled by the government to keep other oganized crime from taking over. However, an Azerbaijani gang based in the Moshchnost (military) district is funded by Central Asian rebels and is involved in an extremely violent gang war with them.

The Sivent Mafia prevalent in the south of the country until 1971 where under "Operation Viper" Police raided and arrested 75% of their members.

While there are a few criminal organizations that exist in Saurisia, none are as powerful or as well-respected as the Silver Sword League. An ancient highly organized group of professional thieves and pickpockets, they strictly follow a code of ethics that is there to ensure they do not attract too much attention or draw away potential clients by unnecessarily damaging property or taking lives. It should be noted that they are organized similarly to the stereotypical mafia as well.

How is powerful and influential is the mafia or your equivalent in your nation?

There are 2 mafia groups (or its equivalent) in Majavijaya.

The 1st is the Scourge of God.
This radical Islamic group takes the role as both mafia and terrorist which operates within the borders of Majavijaya. They are concentrated in the muslim-dominated provinces such as Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei. They are affiliated with the muslim-dominated countries in West Asia, such as Saudi Arabia. This group has about 2 million followers, but it is the poorest mafia group.

The 2nd is the Thunder Wing.
This radical Confucian group takes the role as both mafia and terrorist which operates within the borders of Majavijaya. They are concentrated in the Confucian-dominated provinces such as Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. They are affiliated with the Confucian-dominated countries in East Asia, such as China. This group has about 2 hundred thousand followers, but it is the richest mafia group.

The Petrovian Mob is highly influential in the big cities in the South.

[Greater Corea]

The only Mafia clan in Greater Corea is the "Snakeheads" clan. 200,000 operatives and over 50 black market spaces. They profit over the cigarette and kitten ban in the Empire...

Before the Consortium War, Team Space Elevator enjoyed a great deal of wealth and power, operating overtly as a mercenary group with an impressive range of hardware though not the overall power to stand up to national militaries, and covertly as a crime syndicate engaging in the usual sort of activities. While a fair few of their members were bumbling, they certainly had ruthless and dangerous individuals in their ranks. TSE's leader, Vanigo, maintained a tacit relationship with Regent Mew, the former enjoying a bit of under-the-table government support, the latter recognising that directly confronting Team Space Elevator might be costly and occasionally leaning on TSE to take actions the official government could not.

It all went tits up in the Consortium War though, when Vanigo acted on his well-concealed human supremacist views to kill a crapton of people. TSE's facilities were lost, its Headquarters stormed, its leader dead, and its power broken. Rumours they are working on rebuilding are regarded by the government as baseless.

There are still a fair assortment of local criminal groups around, of course, but none have attained the kind of national (and even global) presence TSE had. The UPT government having hopefully learnt its lessons, it's probable none ever will.

How is powerful and influential is the mafia or your equivalent in your nation?
In Lolloh, the Mafia has a total of 50 people, all of them registered with the government. They largely act as extra 'eyes and ears' for the LIS, the intelligence service, and even have an office in the LIS building.

[Pavonistade]

The mafia exists in Pavonistade, known as Association Mobs or Asciamok for short. There is nothing to explain why "Asciamok" is spelled with a "k" instead of a "b" ("Asciamob").

The Asciamok exists back to 1930, the time of the Great Depression. As food, water, and basic needs became scarcer due to the weakening economy, several criminals have formed the Asciamok to scavenge and steal any food, water, and basic needs they could find for the good of their survival. After the Great Depression diminished, the Asciamok focused on gathering valuables and important information in exchange for other goods, valuables, and money. Many had blamed the Asciamok for weakening Pavonistade's security and leaking sensitive information to the Soviets during the Cold War, though this was later proven to be false.

Based on government infiltration of the Asciamok, there are approximately 29,028 members within the Asciamok and most of them are highly concentrated in both the states of Toloupum Sector and Eastern Islands. The infiltration also discovered that the Asciamok is shrinking in the last few years due to increasing unpopularity and weakness, from 35,274 members in 2007 to 29,028 members in 2013.

The Asciamok is not powerful and influential in present times (though it is more powerful but not influential in the past), and any members of the Asciamok will be arrested and charged for being a serious threat to society.

[Victorious Decepticons]

The descendants of the Sicilian Mafia itself used to live on Decepticon Earth, but they had no power after we invaded. Instead, they were barely able to hang onto a modicum of freedom by paying Megatron extortionistic bribes. Needless to say, not too many who knew of the arrangement were *really* surprised when they took the opportunity to defect off to... *checks a database* Menelmacar, as we recall. In a rare slip, Leader Megatron himself was caught off-guard by the defection, though he is comforted by the knowledge that the Mafia descendents were still Decepticons-in-Spirit, and that they will therefore soon repay their new hosts with a giant organized crime wave.

Here, the Interplanetary Oil Procurement Corporation is the biggest private organized crime group. Unlike the puny Mafia, the Corporation has never had to rely on foreigners to improve its lot. It is the richest and most powerful crime gang outside of the Decepticon Government itself. Along with large-scale oil raiding, it runs businesses of varying degrees of legality throughout the known universe. To the surprise of some, it is not afraid of legitimate business when it's profitable to engage in it. It will, however, be glad to add illegitimacy or undertake outright illegal operations abroad whenever it is profitable to do so. It's known for taking advantage of the differences in the legal systems of its areas of operation to be able to do things like produce contraband here for dirt cheap and then sell it elsewhere at eyepopping prices.

It especially likes to do business in places where making or selling drugs or alcohol is punished with death. The presence of the death penalty causes contraband prices to skyrocket and helps to scare off most of the competition - and, of course, it's almost impossible to mete out such a penalty on a Decepticon dealer, so Corporation members are totally safe. It's not like a lethal injection needle, a noose, or a bullet is going to do a single thing to one of us. Of course, a gang member will barge out of any attempt at confinement before such a government gets around to building a large enough smelting pit or a powerful-enough energy blaster to do the job the right way.
