Not many know about it, since virtually no one has access to the Internet due to poverty.
We are a generally peaceful(on the outside) African nation, which broke away from Kenya and Tanzania.

Although some people use emulations of NS because they like the classics, far superior alternatives have turned up over the past 500 years. However, one user has taken it upon imself to create a near-perfect representation of NationStates, including AIs taught to believe that they exist in the early 21st century as players, complete with false memories of existence outside of NS. Oddly enough, one of the AIs has created a carbon copy of the New Event Horizon and is now trying to convince the other AIs that THIS IS NOT REAL and that they need to WAKE UP. How silly.

Only around 1 million people play it, was recently banned however due to certain citizens wanting actually attempting to open embassies.

NationStates is very popular, as it is a part of the curriculum for any government classes at any level. Throughout the course, students control their nation as they learn about various policies. When they graduate, a lot of people choose to continue playing their nation.

The Arazi government highly limits what can be searched on the internet. Posing as a threat to the state, as it allows groups to meet to discuss nations, possibly to incite a revolution, the website's servers are not available within Arazistan.
