It says here it has "advanced counter-counter measures" to evade enemy air defense?

Does this apply to interceptor missiles or is it only jamming proof?

More pertinent to my situation, could it evade a 9M38(?) Buk missile?

Because the only way to prevent the seeker from homing is to destroy it or to obscure the target completely.

I use my all my IFVs to support tanks, anyroad. It's sort of like this:



Grey is tanks. Dark Grey is heavy mortar carriers. Black is IFVs, which follow behind tanks and mop up the lighter OPFOR elements (ie LAVs, unprotected infantry, etc).

Tanks are infrared emitters though. Much bigger ones then a small infra-red emitter.

DIRCM presumably falls into the category of 'obscuring the target completely' if it's strong enough to completely cover the sensor.

What would be a better urban IFV?

I have found that it works well in the battles ive used it in where it dealt with armor that basic rifle squads cant. Normally I have one move with three infantry squads in APC's with it in front to deal with major threats while the troops can pile out an sweep buildings or take objectives as needed.

Perhaps terrain he fights in makes taking advantage of larger tank formations harder.
Or His forces play with lot of tiny beestings, so tanks are in combined arms battalions.
Or just need for generic flexibility over brute force.

A mixture of all of those actually.
I rarely fight outside of large urban cities as most all of my war involve invading major coastal cities and then making a bee line for the capitol. I rarely have the maneuverability or space for many tanks.

The Idea is that the combined arms battalion would be the main attack force with a support battalion and two motorized infantry battalions.

The Assault Squads are urban combat specialist. They dont differ too much from my riflemen except for some extra training and armor.

You know that is the biggest lie in history since bush said that Iraq had WMDs.

FYI: For the logistics crew, I was only counting the part that is actually involved in active duty (can be deployed to a war front); though You do have a point that the number is small.
