If I had a formation of 10 soldiers, how many support staff (logistical specialist, engineers, maintenance teams etc.) would they need?

If I had a formation of 10 aircraft, how many support staff (logistical specialist, engineers, maintenance teams etc.) would they need?

Not to sure for vehicles, but when it comes to fighter aircraft, you want around 15-20 maintainers per aircraft, the number goes up as the aircraft get bigger. The current USAF runs at around 10 guys which is pretty bad, as you strain those few guys you have on a 24 hour, 7 day week schedule. However maintainers aren't attached to any aircraft, but to the AMU of the squadron. It also doesn't cover guys like supply, metal fabrication and the many officer jobs that are required.

That's why we have them in rations though not many. Smokers are also unlikely to catch a cold which is also handy,though reduced pulmonary function is not, so the habit is not encouraged in any form.

Try issuing nicotine in a different form.

Basically any delivery method apart from Cigarettes is not particularly harmful to your health, not even cigars or pipes since you are meant puff them, not inhale.

Drinking on the other hand is beneficial, apparently.
