It is going to have in-arm suspension. The hull is a bit disproportionate, length-wise to height, though, if that's what you're suggesting.Imperializt Russia wrote:Does the hull seem undersized to you, or is that just the effect of big gun being big?

It's not smaller than any of my other AFVs. Now, the main problem is that the turret is fucking giant but you can put a 152 on a T-80 chassis why not one of these chassis. So fuck it. I think it's sound—but it may look silly when its done, I'm not sure.

Obviously, it's missing wheels suspension and tracks but it still looks low.

Artillery | Air Defence | |
Light Role Brigade | 'Field Regiment RA' | 'AD Battery RA' |
Mechanised Brigade | 'SP Artillery Regiment (solely of SPGs)' | 'Javelin AD Detachment' |
Armoured Brigade | 'Artillery Regiment' | 'Javelin Battery' |

Now, my Brigades go by the British Method which describes the following Artillery and Air Defence precautions per Brigade:
Artillery Air Defence Light Role Brigade 'Field Regiment RA' 'AD Battery RA' Mechanised Brigade 'SP Artillery Regiment (solely of SPGs)' 'Javelin AD Detachment' Armoured Brigade 'Artillery Regiment' 'Javelin Battery' (Image)
Now, this seems rather small on the Air Defence Side, and a tad (to me) inflexible for the Artillery (especially having theoretically no rocket/missile artillery or CoBRa for a Mechanised Brigade). So, I'm wondering how to organise my forces.
For Artillery I was thinking of a Regiment consisting of Two Gun Companies, a Missile/MLRS Company and a CoBRa/Heavy Artillery Company. Each Company would be three Batteries of three systems. For the CoBRa company, there would be two Troops of CoBrA (one for redundancy) of two systems, then a Battery of three Heavy Guns. An Alternative could be having each company with its own integral CoBRa system, and entirely scrap the last company - or turn it into some form of AD unit.
For the AD Units I was thinking of three companies of three batteries. Each Company having: two batteries of three ShoRADS vehicles, and a battery of medium-level Air defence missiles (I dunno what to put there, maybe two missile launch systems?). Then each company gets two air defence radar sets, one primarily for redundency considering how much OpFor will want to destroy it.
Thoughts?

I bet all the douchebags would buy it.
I have a question - should I replace HMGs with 7.62mm Gatling guns?
Loss of effective range, loss of munition power, increased ammunition expenditure, no real improvements to mobility and no functional improvement in suppressive capability.

Hmm. But Army 2020 is a down-sizing of the armed forces, and not intended for a million+ man strong military. It also sounds rather small, isn't that like three 105mms, three 155mms and three MLRSs to support something like two thousand men's advance?

One battery=8 guns.
I can then do this, and the observation theoretically goes where it needs to.Elan Valleys wrote:You generally assign one battery per battalion.
