Fair enough then. "Lord Consort" is now a strong possibility.

Well we wanted to keep Protector in the official title the new woman in power right, so maybe we should keep it in this new title as well.

I'm a Wiccan and in my coven all the women call us males their "Warrior Consorts" so I got the idea for "Protector Consort" or "Consort Protector"

"Protector's Consort" sounds very good. Wicca is the majority religion in the Stratocracy anyway so that could work.

So it's either "Lord Consort" or "Protector Consort"

Kinda leaning towards "Protector Consort" or "Protector's Consort"
My state is called The Militarist Union of Great Britain and northern Ireland. For short it can be referred to as the MU, Britain, or as a people the "Brit-Strats"

The Country is governed by the ideology Social Militarism. it approves of Stratocracy, Democracy (In general), militarism, and rule of law.

It opposes Far leftism, ethic nationalism, anarchy, and totalitarianism

Actually it's Duke of Normandy and that title is only used in the Channel Islands.

"Duke" is still masculine, though. The feminine is "duchess".

On topic, sure, have a Lady Protector.
Call us Spaoinn [spʼaʔɔɪn̩], or the Homelands; the spelling "Sponn" is outdated and in-character will make you seem like a bit of a hick. Our demonym is "spaoinnbaerr" [spʼaʔɔɪn̩peɹ̩], not "Sponnite" or any such nonsense. The most commonly spoken language is Atennish (WIP!).

Well, there should be no problem with the term Lord Protector. It all depends on where the Stratocracy stands on gender neutral terms. Also, what is the proportion of female representation in the Stratocracy?

I play Battletech, and in that game there have been female leaders in all the Successor States. Female Archons, female Chancellors, female First Lords. I don't think having a female 'Lord Protector' is a problem unless the people have a problem with it.
"Hello, Masaki home. Oh, that sounds like if I were married to the family. How embarrassing. What do you think? Do you think it sounds that way?"

"I have been many things in my life, Mollari. I have been silly. I have been quiet when I should have spoken. I have been foolish. And I have wasted far too much time. But I am still Centauri. And I am not afraid."

"You are elevating futility to a high art. There is nothing you can do to prevent the catharsis of spurious morality."

No, that's no good. A "consort" is a companion, spouse, etc. of whoever holds the real power.

Merriam-Webster Online wrote:Queen consort: The wife of a reigning king.

So definitely don't go with that unless you want to mean that your new person the Lord Protector's wife.

In Victorious Decepticons, the practice is to use the person's military rank when addressing her. Usually, we'd use General + [her name], followed by her title - as in, "General [Name], Head of [Agency]", but "General Protector" could work just as well. ("Protector General" has a bit more of a ring to it, but wouldn't fit the convention.) Since you're a stratocracy, we would expect that such a convention would work well in your nation, too.

For the record, Megatron's title - Leader - is the official rank of the highest general in the Decepticon Military - not just a political designation.

I guess you could say the title of "Lord Protector" isn't based on gender it's just what it is. :)
