Is cannibalism legal?

If yes, how is the meat regulated?

Is it a prominent trade?

How is cannibalism viewed in your culture?

In Auzkhia, meat from sapient beings is de facto legal to eat. However it is illegal to sell and buy it. In theory you can have yourself be made into food with consent in your will. Killing an Auzkhian for meat is treated like murder. Obviously this rarely happens due to the fact that cannibalism is viewed as disgusting and immoral. Cannibalism is viewed as a desperate last ditch survival method by some.

Heddychlon Cannibalism Act of 2004

Cannibalism is legal in the states of Ffydd, Bywyd, and Penderfyniad. Citizens visit clinics in order to donate their bodies to the practice. A court trial is held, then the official document is signed by said citizen.

The meat is the monitored for a month before released into special markets. Citizens must apply for a "Cannibalistic Practices" card before being able to purchase the meet. The said citizen must also be 18+ in order to purchase the meat.

Children below the age of 13 are not able to eat human meat. Parents found feeding this to children below 13 year olds will be fined, and have the child sent to a foster home.

Cannibalism is fully legal as long as all participants consent. (It pays to have a written agreement in this case.)

Is cannibalism legal?
In Eldritch Empire locations, yes. Not in the United Human Republic though. The rest of the world doesn't have laws.

If yes, how is the meat regulated?
In the EE it requires consent. In the Wastelands it is unregulated, and the Cults don't regulate anything.

Is it a prominent trade?
It is a prominent trade in the Central Eurasian Wasteland, but the North and South American Wastelands have retained enough local fauna that they do not have to resort to it. In the United Human Republic it is banned. The Asia-based Cult of the Dragon does discriminate between the meat they ear, and the Devastator Swarm that has taken over Africa are not human so we can't ask them. Worldwide, it is also prominent amongst various lesser Cults.
The Eldritch Empire allows it if it is done with legally established consent, which the Esoteric Activities Agency deals with. Quite popular there.

How is cannibalism viewed in your culture?
As something that Cults do.

Cannibalism? It's disgusting, not to mention unhealthy, although we don't hold it against a Sidh if he has eaten the flesh of his dead fellows out of extreme hardship in a life-or-death situation.

Eating human flesh, while technically still cannibalism, wouldn't hold the same degree of taboo since Sidhae consider themselves separate species from humans, but the idea is still considered disgusting and to be reserved for extreme emergency only. There have been documented instances during the Age of War when stranded or surrounded troops resorted to cannibalizing their human prisoners and the local civilian population (and later their own dead) after their supplies ran out and no other substitute was available, but these are clearly rare and extreme exceptions.

There are no regulations against cannibalism, since nobody in our history has had the mind to indulge in it under normal circumstances. Should anyone ever try, he could technically be prosecuted for desecrating a corpse.
Freedom doesn't mean being able to do as one please, but rather not to do as one doesn't please.

A fool sees religion as the truth. A smart man sees religion as a lie. A ruler sees religion as a useful tool.

Is cannibalism legal?
Cannibalism is legal in the state of Eastern Island, but in all other 5 states it is outlawed.

If yes, how is the meat regulated?
The Human Poultry and Cannibalism Regulation Commission, controlled by the Eastern Islands Government, is responsible for regulating the production, transportation, transaction, possession, and consumption of humans. Cannibalism is heavily regulated, and remains extremely unpopular.

Is it a prominent trade?
It is not a prominent trade. There are barely any people who volunteered to be turned into consumables.

How is cannibalism viewed in your culture?
Modern Pavonistadian culture, even in Eastern Islands, does not practice cannibalism and sees it as a horrific inhumane action and disgrace.

However, in the past, early inhabitants sometimes rely on cannibalism because of rather-common food shortages. Pavonistade is formed by a massive series of active volcanoes fueled by a large hot spot, meaning that it is mostly cut off from most organisms as we know it. Some vegetation like vertsuaves that existed since the past had kept the early Pavonistadians alive if cannibalism is not practiced.

This information is outdated - cannibalism is legal in all of Pavonistade, though is viewed negatively in Western Pavonistade and Capital State.

Is cannibalism legal?

What kind of barbarian state legalizes the consumption of their own species?

If yes, how is the meat regulated?

A high-powered laser beam to anyone who practices it.

Is it a prominent trade?

It's rumored some of the outland savages practice it. We know Red Men eat fallen humans, but they aren't quite human anymore.

How is cannibalism viewed in your culture?

We prefer steak or chicken, really. Eating one another is quite barbaric, and could lead to the downfall of civilizations when the more extreme cannibals can't get enough to satisfy their cravings.

Cannibalism isn't legal, and the only time it is allowed is if your trapped in a survival situation.

And for trading, there aren't even rumors of a secret company or anything like that that sells human meat.

ACCIDENTAL cannibalism happens, because our cosmetic genetics technology enables cameroi to have themselves made into the appearance of any species, real or imagined. of course this muddies the waters a bit as to whether or not it technically IS cannibalism. it is also one of the reasons hunting, other then one's natural teeth and claws isn't openly encouraged.

Is cannibalism legal?

Cannibalism is legal in the Northern State of Artika, so long as its between to consenting adults.

If yes, how is the meat regulated?

There should be a signed, legal agreement between both parties

Is it a prominent trade?

In the Northern State of Artika, yes, eating humans is seen as a cultural thing. 5% of Artikans, it seems, are willing to be the victims of cannibalism under the belief that being eaten is a way to achieve enlightenment. 20% participate in cannibalism, believing that they are absorbing the life and spirit of a fellow human.

How is cannibalism viewed in your culture?

The majority of citizens don't practise it, and in the three other states, the practise is seen as repulsive. However, those that practise it are extremly defensive of there practise, and argue that to forbid an adult from allowing himself to be eaten is an infringement on ones human rights.

Is cannibalism legal?[b]
[b]If yes, how is the meat regulated?

Completely legal, provided that the meat meets the same health and safety standards we impose on all other forms of food and that it either comes from volunteers, non citizens or import.

Is it a prominent trade?
No not really. Not many Purpelians are willing to give written consent to be killed and eaten. And illegal immigrants are sort of hard to come by these days. Must be the recession abroad.

How is cannibalism viewed in your culture?
We view it as two distinct things. Purpelians eating Purpelians is seen as strange. But that's about it. Not disgusting or icky or anything. Just strange. As for eating foreigners. Well they were newer human to begin with anyway.
Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.
