Looks good. Seems to me the magwell should be a bit further back, but I'm hardly an expert.

You could be right. It just looks like an inordinately long...bolt? The part behind the charging handle. For an SMG, I mean. The tripod has telescoping parts, I presume.
It does. I've never really got the hang of drawing those properly.

As mentioned above, initial plan was for me to do the art, but if you want to do your own, you can do whatever you like.
As far as what I'll be doing with the midsection goes, I just left it blank because obviously a bullpup will need an ejection port on the stock, a semi-auto won't need a full-on bolt handle etc.
*Just want to confirm whether Purpelia's coilgun post was a response to the challenge or something else?

4.85 seems to have had a good penetrative ability and a rather large amount of K.E., but, dispite that, did not offer the best of terminal ballistics. The small crush cavity (5mm) and poor yaw coupled with its high velocity and higher sectional density means a rather straight wound profile, but a hydrostatic shock.

Not ferromagnetic does not mean it is unaffected by magnetism. A ceramic barrel could work, but that would create other problems. It is certainly feasible, but I think it would have its own set of problems. I am skeptical about coilguns ever gaining a foothold as practical weapons systems.
