A number of metals are, a little.

I meant to link the wiki article on Paramagnetism here, I do apologise.

Not all materials are magnetic...

Not ferromagnetic does not mean it is unaffected by magnetism. A ceramic barrel could work, but that would create other problems. It is certainly feasible, but I think it would have its own set of problems. I am skeptical about coilguns ever gaining a foothold as practical weapons systems.

Catching up. So far weapon appears to be an 8x55 caseless saboted coilgun* with an interesting muzzle device. I still need things like layout, action etc...

As mentioned above, initial plan was for me to do the art, but if you want to do your own, you can do whatever you like.
As far as what I'll be doing with the midsection goes, I just left it blank because obviously a bullpup will need an ejection port on the stock, a semi-auto won't need a full-on bolt handle etc.

Possibly. I found some similar things with it that far forward. Still...

It does. I've never really got the hang of drawing those properly.

Ah, about that. The bolt itself is further back, with the dark mass being a dust cover, much like the Cristobal carbine. The charging handle is a bit further ahead. Why? 50s engineering, of course!

The HK Salvo's "drum" is not what I mean, if any of you are thinking of that

Railguns Are far more practical, coilguns suffer from far more problems. also I just had a better idea. A straight rail gun. the contact portions of the rails Are integrated into a Polymer or Ceramic barrel And you simply Rifle the entirety of it. That might work.

Also does anyone know what the Draw the LAWS laser has? Cause I could theoretically have a 2MJ powerpack incorporated into a two man team one part with the weapon system the other the Tiberium powerpack (Do not question tiberium) and hey, lasers muthafucka. When you're advancing towards a Enemy position and Fred bursts into flames next to you there's something wrong.

For a Grenade launcher? That's not too shoddy, recall it has a magazine capacity of 6. And it's not an assault rifle or MG

CR-M “Asp”(combat rifle modular)
Action: Short stroke Piston
Cartridge: 6.5X64, 9.3X64,12X64
Barrel length: 18” standard, 24” Marksman 12” CQB
Overall length: 32”, 48”, 28”
Rate of fire: 725 RPM
Effective range: 6.5X64 375meters, 9.3X64 450 meters,12X64 250 meters
Magazine capacity: 6.5X64 35 rounds, 9.3X64 25 rounds ,12X64 20 rounds
The CR-M “Asp” was adopted in 2007 as the standard service Rifle in all first line Black Hand forces.
It serves in many roles, as an assault, Battle, and close quarters battle rifle. The rifle uses a interchangeable upper receiver that allows it to use any of the three cartridges the available, along with allowing quick changes between Barrel lengths, the advantages of this system are that the weapons platform allows parts sharing and operational similarities between Assault and battle rifles. The close combat chambering was developed for units engaged in urban pacification and Checkpoint duty, it is commonly employed by Shadow team special forces units who value the increased stopping power and armor penetration.

That article has a couple contradictions.

Especially the part where they say that the M24 will enter production. Could be a typo...could be a clever way at revealing classified military info

Oh yea, it will kill you dead, but its not as good as, say, 5.56x45 and 5.45x39mm.
Its wound cavity probably looks like am exaggerated 5.7x28. But I cant justify hating 4.85 like I can 5.7x28.

So at the range today I shot all the things there were to shoot, my dumb self forgot to take photos of the .22 at 150, but I did manage to get a shot on a steel plate of a .500 S&W.
I'll post a picture of that later on.
