It was a joke. Although I really do have tank bayonets. But that's a different story.
My point was that a designation does not need to convey information or make sense. After all what does M4 mean? M4 rifle? M4 tank?
The thing that is important is that what ever system is used to make the designations is internally consistent enough that the guy issuing supplies knows what he is dealing with. So Rifle Felix 0.75x600 Automatic is as good a designation as M14.

Note the bayonet.
This unusual evolutionary adaptation serves no purpose, and makes the tank look quite silly to some.
Here we see two male tanks fighting over a female APC.
Notice the two are shooting some 500 meters apart, and not stabbing one another.
Here the tanks bayonet falls off, due to the recoil of the gun.
This confuses the tank.
Here a purpelian tank attempts to ram an enemy APC with its Bayonet.
This kills the tank.
Actually the bayonet is welded into the barrel structure and pretty much a solid part of the barrel behind the muzzle break. That thing ain't falling off any time soon.
And I take it you have not heard the story behind the thing have you?
