During the rest of the year, the Imperial family occupies Skelside Castle, in a valley 150 miles north of Moria Hodye. The Castle is located above a hot springs, therefore allowing heat to be circulated through the castle via means of pumping hot water through pipes inside the walls, which means that Skelside Castle is one of the naturally warmest areas in the empire during the winter months.

The Imperial Palace in New Carlingford is in the centre of the city. The Supreme Chancellor lives here. It is a huge building consisting of a central tower over 500 metres high. The base has 8 evenly spaced wings facing North, North East, East etc. It is made of solid marble and took almost 100 years to complete.

The parliament is seated in the south wing while other offices and conference rooms as well as the CDFSC (Carlossian Defence Force Senior Command) are house in the other wings. The Carlossian ACSN central regional discussion chamber is held in the east wing.
