An Afalian monarch has never abdicated.

The prime minister informally resigns as party leader when he or she does not want another term, but they usually serve out the rest of their term as PM until the election has been held. So in effect all PMs, thus far, have resigned but none unexpectedly or formally.

Joseph Stallion and Albul Einstein.

Joseph Stallion quit because he wasn't fit for office due to his hoarse voice. So, he and his army just got up and left Albul.

Albul Einstein resigned his leadership position to give more power to the people. He re-instituted the Albul Council, which still stands to this day.

any low person (elected official) may resign from any office at any time for any reason they so desire. by elections are immediately held to fill their vacancy when they do.
again we do not use the term leadership, which is to cameroi culture an alien and somewhat absurd concept, in reference to our public servants.

any public servant transferring their place of residence out of the jurisdiction in which they have been serving is required to do so. health reasons and responsibilities outside of public office are the other two reasons most often cited for such resignations. as you know, we do not invest authority in individuals, but only in the decisions of the councils on which they serve. thus the resignation of any one individual at any time is not a matter of any greater moment then the immediate and automatic calling of a by election to fill their seat.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

No monarch has ever abdicated voluntarily, though at least four were forced to abdicate by force.

Technically, every prime minister has resigned, save for the two who died in office (Kristjan Euchenshepping in 1875, Matjas Banheim in 1909 and Magnus den Rose in 1957). This is part of the handover ceremony.

Those who resigned without being defeated in an election were:
- Karl Offe in 1890, due to a bribery scandal
- Tomas Leuchard in 1893, after his party lost its majority in the House of Representatives due to mass defection of Liberal backbenchers.
- Kurt Askvid in 1914, persuaded to step down by his own party due to fears the Liberals were losing support to the Social Democrats.
- Erik Erskine in 1939, due to ill health.
- Jakob den Hagg in 1946, due to general exhaustion.
- Torbjorn Smid in 1952, because of his pledge to resign if the newly-formed Social Democratic and Labour Party failed to win a majority in the election of that year. They fell just two seats short.
- Henrik Abilo in 1976, due to general exhaustion.
- Soren Kais in 1981, due to a pact made between the Conservatives to share the premiership with Gunnhild Massendal during the 1979-1983 parliament.
- Gunnhild Massendal in 1987, due to general exhaustion.
- Edvard Johansen in 1995, as had pledged to serve for just four years.
- Linda Muller in 1997, as she was only a temporary replacement for Johansen.
- Manfred Hagen in 2006, due to general exhaustion.

Former Prime Minister Gregory Brown resigned as the leader of the Democratic Socialist Party, and by convention, that meant that he resigned as Prime Minister. The Prince dissolved Parliament and scheduled a new election soon after.
